He wants more money without extending the contract? That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. 😂 Why the fuck would Tony Khan agree to that? He wants to extend long term but wants the new deal to begin immediately, like whenever a football player signs a new deal, that deal becomes immediate. He wants to make more money in his career so when he's a free agent in like 4 or so years, he can play this game again. That makes more sense. Tony should do that.

But like it’s not how contracts work. There is zero incentive for Tony Khan to give a pay rise in this situation. He could (and probably will) walk out when his contract is up anyway, otherwise he would sign an extension. I’m all for the boys getting paid as much as possible but this makes less than no sense. He will then test free agency and see what else is out there. He's betting on himself to stay healthy and to be just as strong and AEW would shoot themselves in the foot if they derail his career to try and prove a point financially. Why sign a deal if it isn't going immediately into effect?

Was referring to MJF, I understand why Khan is playing hardball here though but I get why MJF is advocating on this too.

MJF needs to watch himself, as guys gets labeled problem workers and blacklisted for stuff like this. And the people who make decisions in WWE have been screwed by talent doing what MJF is doing now.

Yeah sorry, I thought you meant he wanted a pay increase with no contract extension. That’s just silly. If he wants an increase to kick in immediately in the case of an extension, that’s reasonable. This might me unpopular but I’m not sure about him in WWE either. He is a bit of a shock jock and he won’t be able to use any of that on Monday Night Raw. I think he might be better suited to AEW where there’s nothing else like him.

Eh Zelina Vega is back in the WWE after her union shoutout and wanting to shake the industry up. Vince really likes her and I think it shows a backbone that someone like this is trying to maximize on profit. Very smart business ploy. People said " MJF is such a great heel" whenever he was putting WWE over in interviews or on twitter despite knowing how much AEW fans loathe the WWE. When in reality, he's not burning bridges and is being savvy from a business standpoint. Why attack or belittle WWE when they can be used as leverage in a future deal or even be your future employer?

He wants the deal he signed as an unknown unless you followed Jim Cornette or MLW to be ripped up because whether you like him or not, he's outplayed that deal. Much like Josh Allen of the Bills balling out and getting his 4th & 5th years ripped up and getting that mega deal to come in. He's easily given more than what was paid on the dollar by Tony Khan. Of course that doesn't happen without the AEW machine but if someone like WWE is floating out interest by throwing a hefty deal, you have to pay up if your AEW or try and make another MJF to replace the current one you have.

Doing a promo in character and starting tension backstage are two very, very different things. Will see what happens but this sort of thing sticks with people. And can bite him in the ass if Tony benches him.

A new report from The Flagship Wrestling Podcast paints a less-than-idyllic image of All Elite Wrestling's backstage atmosphere, which has been described as "chaotic" by a source within the promotion.
This follows on from Fightful Select's recent reporting on MJF, whose AEW frustration stems from the feeling that he is underpaid, leading to the rising star "leaning towards leaving" the Tony Khan-helmed promotion when his current deal expires in 2024. MJF has not been shy about expressing this, speaking openly about the situation in interviews and frequently incorporating references into his work on television.
The Flagship's source claims that MJF isn't the only frustrated AEW locker room member. "Chaotic" and suffering from a "lack of structure", behind-the-scenes concerns include match finishes and angles not being made known until just before shows begin, as well as redundant finishes and angles.
This has caused frustration, with one of The Flagship's sources commenting:-
"Every single one of us is pulling our hair out."
AEW's chaos is not believed to be on the same level as WWE's, with Vince McMahon's company's propensity to rewrite episodes of Raw on show day cited. Such things often seem like a near-weekly occurrence in the world's biggest promotion. Nonetheless, it appears that AEW and Khan have some problems of their own to work on.

This was posted on 'Whatculture WWE' an ironically very anti WWE page. Especially that fucking Sidgwick.

So I have mention I think people who were backed by Cody may still be loyal to him. And some could follow him to WWE. Well it probably was a nothing comment, but on Busted Open. Bully Ray asked him was there any veteran influences that helps him out in the back besides Taz of course. He said right off the top of his head Cody. Bully said you mean use to right. Starks No still. Probably not but thought it was interesting but not worth it own thread. And Starks seems like he would better fit in WWE.

Doing this while on a torn ACL, the margin of error was very low for Jake Atlas. If true(Big if), this is worthy of being fired. EDIT: WTF he is dating Duke Hudson of NXT 2.0? I didn't even know Hudson was gay! Wow. Poor dude was in a scripted romance with Persia Pirotta too like a month ago prior to her release.

I really hope no one tells Vince that his 6'5 pet project got beatup by a 5'8 210 pound soaking wet cruiserweight because you know how Vince will get over that. Yeah Atlas is in deep trouble, AEW probably isn't going to stick his neck out for him here. (reportedly) got pissed that Hudson/Vick was mingling with the female at the party that Atlas wanted a threesome with(Wut?). I would say this is made up but man, how do you even make this up?

Couple minor points from latest WOR:
-Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae are set to return soon. -“people” are pushing for Candice to go to AEW. -Stokely Hathaway was offered a $250k extension by the WWE + a main roster spot and he turned it down.

Are they set to return soon or are their no competes up soon? Because that kid is still pretty young and Johnny does not really acting like he is itching to return. As for Candice, I think she plans to stay home to take care of the kid while Johnny is on the road Hardy style.

Johnny recently released some new merch, which might suggest returning to the road in some capacity.
Surely WWE would want Gargano back.

I still not convinced he wants back yet. He was like Cesaro they said and banked most of his cash for this very purpose. When he wants to return he will, but not before that. I expect him back closer to the end of the year. AEW while you have less dates mandated, if you really want to take advantage of the cash, you need to be working weekends at indy shows and signing too, and it becomes 5 days on the road with monday and tues only really at home. Not sure Johnny would come back halfway or be cool not being home most of the time anymore.

If rumors are true, Claudio really is good just chilling at home.
Wyatt seems to want back in the game. And lord knows they can use Wyatt. He got several different gimmicks over in WWE and character work is what AEW people need the most.
Wish they would have had the balls to do a indy style SSB thing and have someone like Alan Angels level up in the ring to Wyatt. Like from that moment on Angels is never seen again and Wyatt takes over as number 5. Of course there was no one at 6 in the Dark Order as that was reserved for Bray from the start.

And man Bray should have just debuted as Michael E. Dockins attorney at law for AEW and sued people for use of certain trademarks and moves. Would have been a hilariously over meta-heel gimmick. Imagine him doing run ins to stop moonsaults after someone trademarks the move with him?
