Tony trying to quell some fears on Busted Open Radio today. Said that Adam Cole and Malakai Black are both signed until 2027.

Hasn’t he also said he would grant anyone their release if they wanted to leave?

Hasn’t he also said he would grant anyone their release if they wanted to leave? Yep but who knows how he feels now that most of his major signings from WWE are Triple H guys that got released. I have a feeling that statement was more for the under-utilized talent that would want to leave and get more exposure in the indies/Impact/etc.

Black is not leaving HHH guy or not. WWE will never give him the creative control he has now and that matters the most to him.
Doubt Cole would return. Coming back to WWE would mean ditching a lot of guys he is friends with and possibly dealing with WWE drama again regarding social media shit. Not sure WWE is prepared to change to the point where a potential world champion is playing video games with guys from other companies on twitch.

You have no idea what the WWE creative team is going to look like in the coming years. There could be drastic changes coming, even in the next six months. I don’t expect Black to leave any time soon with how much he’s accomplished character-wise since his debut, but you never know. What if Brody King gets a singles push and the House disbands? What if he wants to travel with his wife again? Cole would surprise me if he left unless him and Britt left together, which I could see happening for sure. WWE would throw blank checks at both of them in a heartbeat. When Britt’s contract is up for renewal that situation could be really interesting, especially if fans continue to be put off by her meta gimmicks and always inserting herself in literally everything.

While Black was in WWE, they had no clue what to do with character. Not sure if that would change if he returned.

You're all forgetting the most important piece of the puzzle, the man with the golden phone book : Cody Rhodes.
I wouldn't be worried about guys like Adam Cole. I'd be worried about guys like Wardlow, MJF, Daniel Garcia, Jack Perry, even The Acclaimed.. (apart from Wardlow, and even Max) the youth, the supposed next generation.
I see AEW like WCW. The veteran talent love AEW because of the payday, easy schedule and 24/7 Smash Brothers Party backstage, but if you're young and learning to work, you gotta go up North.
But this is great. AEW talent can negotiate now with TK, where about in the past, the thought of returning to or going to WWE was probably not a plausible option for many, potentially it is now.

Tony trying to quell some fears on Busted Open Radio today. Said that Adam Cole and Malakai Black are both signed until 2027. Didn't know you listened. Odd he signed them for 5 years instead of the original 3. Black is a Triple H guy. And he said Triple H let him do a lot of the stuff he wanted.

c himself said, networks will demand exclusive talent. What happens when ratings don't improve? Rampage's 10 week average currently is 418,000 with a 0.06 in the 18-34 demo. Dynamite's 10 week average currently is 918,000 with 0.22 in " the demo " RAW in contrast this past week doubled Dynamite's viewership and swept the key demos except one, winning with women 18-49, men 18-49, 18-34 overall, and men 12-34, and tied in women 12-34. Smackdown last week, 2.17 million with a 0.60 in the key demo. My point, when is the honeymoon over for AEW? Let's play hypothetics - these ratings suck. Even Uncle Dave has turned on Rampage. The Networks will demand name recognition to fix or maintain viewership and will be especially relevant when it's time to negotiate the next deal. They'll want established talent first and foremost to drive interest, former WWE talent (hence, TK 'collect-them-all mentality)- this isn't good if you're a 25 year old young boy. Hence, the limited developmental and growth of young talent in AEW. If WWE is offering you 6-figures, and a clear career path - you're signing with WWE.

Some good news on the talent relations front. Sonjay Dutt, QT Marshall, Pat Buck & Tony Schiavone will be given extended roles alongside Christopher Daniels as part of AEW’s Talent Relations department.
The company has also hired Madison Rayne as a coach for the women’s division.

They've always had an obvious void of female voices in production for years so this is a great start. Madison has some major runs on the board of the stuff she's put together in Impact, hopefully she's able to have the same influence in AEW. There's a bit of a rumour that an all-women's show might be coming (although it could be a reality show rather than wrestling) based on some new trademarks they filed for, so I wonder if this new is connected.

I just heard about it on Busted Open this morning. Hopefully Tony actually listens to her over who ever been doing it now. They could almost just rename Dark Elevation and call it a day. Last one had 13 women in 4 matches.

Statlander has both a torn ACL and torn meniscus. Definitely going to need surgery. She could be out anywhere from 6-12 months.

Being The Elite just gave away who the Bucks partner is for the trios tournament.
We all knew who it was but they gave it away at the end of the episode. Can’t wait for Wednesday!!

Yeah we all knew, couldn't have been more obvious, clear as crystal. Unless they swerved us with Hangman I don't have a clue. Well actually I do have a clue, but it seems out there and I'll keep it to myself.

I love that you both said they gave it away and then didn't do us a solid and just tell us. Stop being coy! In case you’re being serious: It’s Kenny Omega. Rumours were swirling for a while that he would be returning for the Trios titles debut because he was a big reason they got created, and then on today’s episode of BTE, someone phones Matt Jackson. He asks “are you sure you’re ready?” then the beginning of Kenny Omega’s Battle Cry theme begins to play just as it cuts to black.

Doing this while on a torn ACL, the margin of error was very low for Jake Atlas. If true(Big if), this is worthy of being fired. EDIT: WTF he is dating Duke Hudson of NXT 2.0? I didn't even know Hudson was gay! Wow. Poor dude was in a scripted romance with Persia Pirotta too like a month ago prior to her release. What a fucking loser. Pretty much bashes Duke Hudson of NXT and then goes on a tirade that he feels threatened as a Mexican being next to a white man. How does Tony Khan still keep this clown? Racist, and a domestic abuser. The funniest thing is when he said he's a nobody, i'm like dude your Jake Atlas  One's on weekly TV, the other is known for using his LGBTQ+ as a badge to be able to wrestle over charisma or talent. EDIT: His contract expired so he's not with AEW anymore.
