I was always a fan of The World's Greatest Tag Tag in Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin, The chemistry they had as a team is not something I have seen very often and was gutted when the team split especially without any real storyline behind it.
The future is bright for Chad Gable in my opinion and although I would have preferred American Alpha to stay as a team, I was kinda happy that the WWE paired him with Shelton and I expect after this current New Day/Uso feud is over we will see Benjamin and Gable getting an opportunity for the Tag Titles on Smackdown.
Anyway I was wondering what your opinion was on who is the better partner Shelton has been with? Haas or Gable?

It's been, like, a month. Unless you believe Charlie Haas is the worst wrestler to ever be in WWE or ROH in history, there's really little precedent to vote for Chad Gable.

Pretty much what Deej said.
Well I like Gable and Benjamin as a team, they're no World's Greatest Tag Team.

Haas Gable and Benjamin don't have that spark. How are you able to tell that after a month and barely any time on TV at all?

I've not seen any of Gable and Benjamin, but the concept just feels so artificial. Team Angle was great, American Alpha are kinda sorta like Team Angle, they got broken up, here's a great idea, why not team one member of "new Team Angle" with one of the originals? Then it will be a forced and subpar version of both teams!
At least, that's how I see it on paper. They may have fantastic chemistry together, I don't know, but it's not a concept that will make me tune into Smackdown. The age gap is quite significant as well.
On the other hand, Benjamin and Haas had great chemistry together and had a very good run in WWE. They were a great fit for the time and place. From what I saw of their run in the indies years later, they were not particularly good and coasting on nostalgia.

Haas Gable and Benjamin don't have that spark. How are you able to tell that after a month and barely any time on TV at all? With something like a spark, isn't it just immediately present or not? Like the mythical X-Factor or "It"... It's just there, or it isn't there. Also, what Emperor said. It feels to thoughtless and forced. And Benjamin seems kinda old now too. So it's kinda like he's making Gable uncool to boot.

I'm conflicted by this storyline. On 1 hand this seems to exist just as simple filler for Gable to have something to do and WWE just said hey! let's team up Kurt Angle's old stablemate with his son's former partner. That's 6 degrees of separation! on the other hand, if they have nothing for Gable I don't mind this as much.
