I think one of the few things humanity can agree completely on is that the wrestling sign peaked during the Monday Night Wars. Most of these I got from AEraSigns on Twitter, but there are some I've screencapped myself. A lot of the least witty ones are the ones that crack me up the most. Bluntness, always funnier than wordplay.

I made it to Big Poppa Boner and then I couldn't hold it in any longer. :lol:

So many, and so many good ones... Tough to pick a favorite.

"Batista likes fish sticks" from that one WrestleMania (I think when he faced Cena?) will forever have a soft spot in my heart.

I popped for Faith No More Guy telling Rocky to die (that is him, right?).

I remember "Austin Fears Misawa" :lol:  such a random sign.

All those "Shawn Is Gay" signs and not a single appearance of the classic "HBGay," which was right up there with "Wheel Chair Wrestling" and "__ Fears ___" when it came to signs you'd see every week.

Another one along those lines that my friends and I got a kick out of was something like "Chyna has a bigger dick than HHH." Ahh...the 90s  :lol:

The best "___ Fears ___" sign was something like "Taz Fears Big Kid Rides At The Amusement Park"

My best sign was "Ludvig Borga Hit Austin." OK, it's no "HBGay" but I was hoping Vince or one of his minions would see it and steal my very good idea.

Attitude Era is obviously the golden age of signs but to find the GOAT wrestling sign you have to all the way back to Bill Watts' UWF for....



I feel like there's at least a 75% chance this woman's sign comes from the result of first hand experience with Michael "No Cock" Hayes.

But as a multiple time young spelling bee champion (shut up) who paid entirely too much attention to wrestling, I'd never make a sign for somebody called "Lee Casidy." 

The crazy thing is a sign like that for Justin "Hawk" Bradshaw or Hunter Hearst Helmsley (and it only took him 4 years!) would have been accurate. I'd have no choice but to assume those theoretical sign makers were time travelers because no sane person ever could have saw those things coming.

Hilarious post Kilgore , I cracked up pretty hard on this the other morning. The Hogan/Hart vs Savage/Piper=Jurassic Park sign is one that sticks out for me the most, this was a big match on PPV for WCW, this wasn't a sign that just happened to be seen in the background some genius in the WCW production booth decided to focus in on it and feature it, one of the more hilarious subtle botches in WCW history for me, whoever was working the knobs in the booth in that moment was either a granny that didn't understand what that sign meant or was a WWF fan.

Damn I miss those signs. Did WWE make people stop doing that or was it just something that just died off? I got a nice little chuckle off of "I hate La Femme Nikita". lol. That show was terrible.
