So tomorrow, we get our first Nintendo Direct of 2022. I always look forward to these and seeing what new video games, Nintendo has anned for future releases.

I try to go into these with low expections, so I don't end up disappointed, but I'm gonna ask anyways, what announcements would you guys like to see. As for me, a new Donkey Kong game would be cool, as well as Super Mario Odyssey 2. Having said that, I assume the direct will cover games we already know about, IE Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Splatoon, etc. Hopefully though, there'll at least be one new unannounced game.

All I want is a BOTW 2 release date. Anything else is a bonus.

Have low expectations for this but it's going to be 40 minutes long so there's that. I WISH we get a new DKC game but I don't think Retro Studios is working on that.

I haven't played the original Hollow Knight yet, would love to get an official date for Silksong though, as it would motivate me to play the first game.

I'd love to see more Breath of the Wild 2 footage - specifically I'd love to see them show off more locales, interesting enemy encounters and some cool gadgets Link can get his hands on. I thought BotW was a great game and a great proof of concept but there is so much you can expand on in that game.

Bayonetta 3 give me some more insane action set pieces, cool combos, cool bosses, pump up that soundtrack and just show off the insanity of those games.

Splatoon 3 show off some more maps, some new game modes, more QOL features and the campaign. Also give me a Summer release date for it and Bayonetta 3.

Give me a new Fire Emblem game and some Pokemon game updates. I want access to all the Pokemon and access to all the mythical Pokemon. Make BD/SP Home compatible so I can finally give my Darkrai a home.

More N64 games - Majora's Mask released tomorrow and announce Diddy Kong Racing coming soon. Also announce some more SNES and NES games.

Long shot, Paper Mario Thousand Year Door redux. More post-game features including the option to actually play Luigi's Adventure.

Also can you get ARMS 2 for Blindy?

New Mario Strikers is a welcome surprise, the Wii game was one of my favourites for the console.

Splatoon 3 time! More tower defence enemies are being shown off. The game has been officially announced for summer.

So Fire Emblem Warriors, Nintendo Switch Sports, New Mario Strikers, Splatoon 3 date reveal and a Xenoblade Chronicles 3 reveal were among the highlights. Plus an additional Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC remastered bundle that includes 48 bonus courses which is free for plus online subscribers and the release of Earthbound Beginnings and Earthbound for the online services were the highlights.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is huge for me. XC2 is among my favourite JRPGs of all-time and 3 looks epic. I still need to play through the original, X and Torna before the game comes out.

- The first Direct of 2022, kicks off with a new Fire Emblem Warriors game. I enjoyed the two Hyrule Warriors games and the first FE Warriors game was alright, I might have to pick this one up.

- The Switch getting its own Super Mario Strikers game? God damn, take my money already Nintendo.

- A Disney/Pixer racing game? Oh the kids are gonna like this one.

- I was already sold on Kirby and the Forgotten Land, this just made me even more excited for the game.

- OK, forget Disney/Pixer racing, give me that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC.

- There was other stuff, though nothing really caught my interest, outside of the above stuff.

I was hoping for some DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but man I wasn't expecting this many. It's safe to say, I'm more than excited for this news. That's a whole game's worth of tracks for the game. I guess this is the replacement for all the Super Smash Bros.: Ultimate DLC they were putting out.

Have you played the Klonoa games before Lony? I reckon they'd be right up your alley, really bright and vibrant platformers bursting with creativity. Definitely keep a closer eye on it.

I'm so excited for this. I can't really judge too much but the worlds look just as vast as XC2 and since they didn't show off different blades I'm going to presume that whole Pokemon like mechanic from XC2 has been scrapped for a more Torna like gameplay which was more streamlined and fast pace. The British VAs may grate, but personally I find it really charming. As talented as some of the Americans one are, sometimes you like to hear somebody other than Matt Mercer after awhile.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is huge news and even though I have the Wii U version and played it to death, this may inspire me to pick up the Deluxe version once and for all.

The Splatoon 3 trailer didn't do a lot for me, but it didn't really have to. I just needed confirmation it's coming in Summer '22. If you guys haven't, I'd honestly recommend jumping on board with this game. Splatoon is unlike any shooter out there and is just oozing with Nintendo charm. It's one of the most popular franchises and playing it, it's easy to see why.

Big Pete, I have not played the Klonoa games before, but it seemed decent enough, I'll def keep an eye on it.

Pretty underwhelming event for me. The time sucks, putting it deadsmack during rush hour is never a good idea for east coast. The content in it though, maybe excluding stuff like Kirby and a date for AdvancedWars and Xenoblade Chronicles 3, did nothing for me. Pretty worried about both Bayonetta 3 and Hollow Knight: Silksong, that neither appeared makes me think they aren't making it for 2022. Triangle Strategy getting a demo today is pretty cool, much less it carrying over to the actual game. That's a good move. Musou Fire Emblem doesn't do anything for me even though I really liked Fire Emblem: Three Houses and the lore behind it(Team Edelgard ftw).

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe getting milked for another 2 years it feels like. Not sure why Earthbound on SNES was made into such a big deal. Chrono Cross isn't getting a fullblown remastered which was the heavy rumor, just a port with side content in the form of written dialogue that you can read on Youtube.

Shocked no news with Pokemon Arceus, I guess the next Direct will give a little teaser. Metroid Dread getting a Dread mode and easy mode is like no news at all, can't imagine many will play those modes if they have already beaten the game outside of maybe the absolute diehards.

Blindy, I wouldn't be shocked in regards to Pokémon news, as they generally do a separate Pokémon direct at the end of February.

I really thought Arceus did well with the sales, shocked to not see it get some love here.

You should give Splatoon a go Blindy. Such an addictive game with some of the best movement controls in video games - don't knock it till you've tried it.

I'm not too worried about Bayonetta 3 nor Hollow Knight Silksong although information about both releases would have been nice.

It's a shame Retro are busy trying to save Metroid Prime, I could really go for another Donkey Kong Country game.

This was extremely disappointing.

I'm hyped for Switch Sports but other than that, *wet fart noises*
