**NO SURRENDER SPOILERS BELOW**
Jay White turned on Guerillas of Destiny at No Surrender last night. White attacked Tama Tonga which allowed the Good Brothers to retain the Impact Tag titles.
Leading up to this, White and Tonga have been at each other’s throats over the leadership of Bullet Club. EVIL & House of Torture were threatening White’s leadership as well, but they’re in Japan and nobody seems to care about them at the moment.
GOD are out and Good Brothers remain in Bullet Club’s good graces, as always.
It gets more interesting because of Jay White’s involvement with AEW and specifically, Adam Cole & The Young Bucks, who have name-dropped Bullet Club more than once on AEW TV.
White also did this last night:
Someone on wreddit pointed out that this is a first for a Bullet Club leader, in that the leader struck first before being betrayed.
Prince Devitt took his eyes off the prize and ended up in a Loser Leaves Town match where Bullet Club betrayed him.
AJ Styles was losing too often and got betrayed by The Cleaner.
Kenny Omega was too distracted by things outside Bullet Club/NJPW. Betrayed.
Jay White learned from the past and took out the only stateside threat to his leadership before they could strike. That has my interest.

Wasn't aware that White and Tonga were talking about leadership of Bullet Club.
Tama Tonga isn't even in Jay White's league, even if he did pin Okada in the G1, but I can understand Jay White taking the first shot.
I generally don't care about Bullet Club Civil War bullshit, but I must admit I am a little intrigued by this one.

I said this in the Impact section so no one probably say it but the good brothers actually a good name considering they seem to be on good terms with every leader of the bullet club past and present.
So faction war in AEW? A triple triad match (not a really match type but named from a Final Fantasy game so Omega and Cole should like the name) Omega/Bucks vs. Cole/ReDragon vs. White/Good Brothers for the World and tag teams titles.

People say Maria and Mike scammed WWE... I feel like even moreso than the Bucks to Big Dick Tony... Good Brothers have scammed the whole industry. They're like new age Kevin Nash... might be great to hear talk and shoot the shit, but no clue how they always find work.

Kinda feels like Doc Gallows is that big loveable dummy that is friends with everyone so they keep them around. Anderson I don't know. Had one good G1 performance a decade ago and is somehow still riding that wave.

My brain: that means Good Brothers back to AEW and a possible feud with Kenny Omega. Neat.
My heart: that means a huge war with multiple factions and Jon Moxley is going to be forced to accept Bryan Danielson’s offer to combat these outside forces and Finn Balor Prince Devitt is going to be #AllElite when his contract is up and somehow Bret Hart will join Bullet Club (after cloning a 1995 version of himself, of course) and

You can't have "best version of Bullet Club" and "Good Brothers" in the same sentence. G.O.D. have had more success than Good Brothers, especially in Japan.

I think what White is really saying is “best version of Bullet Club with me as the leader.” This is the second time GOD have been on the wrong side of a Bullet Club uprising/Civil War. He took them out and reinstated the OGs that never stir up any shit.

Thanks for sharing bodyslam. I avoided this thread until I caught up with New Japan Cup. I normally don't give a fuck about Bullet Club drama but this is tremendously interesting. Jay White turns on Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa, Gedo marches up to Bullet Club in NJPW and asks them to take a side, then you can see above what happened in the EVIL vs Tama Tonga match. Bullet Club unanimously eject Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa and even Jado. Gedo turned on longtime best friend Jado with a brass knuckle punch to the face. Ultimately though, this would be far more interesting if Tama Tonga had more crediblity. You can talk about how he beat Okada in the G1, but he lost he rematch, and otherwise did pretty poorly in the G1. They're going to have to build Tama Tonga an awful lot if they want the audience to believe he can beat Jay White, and I'm not sure it's possible. He just isn't that good.

Is it time for NJPW to move on from Bullet Club?
9 years on, the real talent moved on a long time ago. And now, surely Jay White is in a position now to either stand alone or lead a group completely distinct from Bullet Club.

After the Elite left it did feel quite dated even during Jay's white first run as leader. This needs to be the end.

And now, surely Jay White is in a position now to either stand alone or lead a group completely distinct from Bullet Club. As a fan I feel like Bullet Club has been around much longer than it needed to be. On the other hand, they are huge merch movers, and the frequent rotation of leaders and members keeps it fresh enough. No, this isn't the end of Bullet Club. If anything NJPW have doubled down on the stable. When EVIL formed House of Torture with his guys, it wasn't clear if they were fully Bullet Club or not; they were deliberately kept apart from the main group. Until now. The actions against Guerrillas of Destiny have confirmed that all of Bullet Club, including House of Torture, is united under Jay White. I wouldn't rule out EVIL planning a mutiny, but having seen how literally everyone took Jay White's side in outing Tama Tonga and friends, doesn't seem wise for EVIL to try and take the throne.

In last year's G1 Tama Tonga talked shit about Jay White not being in Japan in a (seemingly) throwaway backstage interview. Said he was gonna take the throne. Nobody cared because Tama had lost most of his G1 matches and he's always talking shit, pretty sure it was before he beat Okada but could be wrong.
Six months later, that promo by Tama Tonga led to this, and it all started with Jay's betrayal across an ocean in Impact.
That's pretty cool long-term storytelling.

GOD and Jado being taken out of Bullet Club is something that should have happened during the civil war, but the pandemic happened shortly after and they really didn't get their moment. I think this is a delayed storyline and this was booked to happen a couple years ago. Maybe I'm wrong, I dunno, but at least it's finally happening.
GOD need to go on a face run by themselves before they call it quits. They deserve it.
And uniting BC under Jay White is the right move. The US of Jay is going to fucking rule.

I guess Impact is going to have their own BC. White is gone and GB contracts coming up. I'm cool with Ace, Bey and maybe one more full time member in Impact and rotate in others when available.

Gotta praise your Impact boy bodyslam. Best of Super Juniors had a lot of great new appearances, but Ace Austin shined above them all. Great look, great charisma, super athlete, great matches, great promos. He really is the total package. I always feel disappointed when someone joins Bullet Club because it's bloated enough as it is. Well, whatever.

KENTA returned at the BoSJ finals show on June 3. First appearance since he broke and tore everything in that NODQ match with Tanahashi at Wrestle Kingdom.
