AEW does a serious problem when bringing in a new talent, they didn't miss this with Keith Lee granted but the Buddy Matthews introduction. "AEW just signed this guy, heck of a signing" "Bubby Matthews and Malakai Black have so much history together" Huh? When on AEW television did these two come across with one another? Or heck even in the Indies? Is it really an issue? Granted, if they've tried to white wash somebody elses history that's one thing but they've been fairly consistent with acknowledging history from other companies.
I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing to acknowledge it. Just as long as it doesn't become the main crux of whatever angle they're doing. For example the Kyle O'Reilly/Adam Cole stuff was completely fine.

They've bashed that same creative for so many years but will take their storyline and run with it in their federation. So how bad is that booking and creativity from the WWE if you as AEW are willingly borrowing it?

They've bashed that same creative for so many years but will take their storyline and run with it in their federation. So how bad is that booking and creativity from the WWE if you as AEW are willingly borrowing it? That's a fair point, especially in this case when it was a main roster storyline. If it was on NXT, like the Cole/O'Reilly storyline I could understand the argument that it's two different creative teams and fans by and large enjoyed NXT 1.0 angles.
I don't think it's wrong to acknowledge the history of the wrestlers, but it's the origin of Malakai's eye that's hypocritical/
I'm curious to see what happens with Malakai and as crazy as this sounds, I hope he's in the main event at Double Or Nothing. I'm impatient, the Cody feud ultimately went nowhere for me, I feel like they've spent a lot of time building Malakai up, now I want to see a pay-off.

And that's because besides a select few Cody was one of them. AEW wrestlers are alright at continuing storylines from other companies but terrible at creating new ones.

Tony Khan confirmed today that the big announcement he’s been talking about will happen on the go-home episode of Dynamite next week. He also said it is not a new talent, but something very important to the wrestling business.
Either we’re getting an AEW/NJPW/Impact Super Show later this year or he actually did buy ROH. I can’t think of what else it’ll be.

Skipped the tag team Battle Royale but a cool finish. Loved the Hangman Page stuff afterwards. The way he beatdown ReDragon and wrecked Adam Cole. He felt like a big deal. Cut a solid promo afterwards. Could have done without Bobby Fish constantly yelling during it. It's Page's time, act like Cole and O'Reilly and shut up. They're better than you.
MJF. MJF. Holy shit. MJF has always been a great promo, in spite of the fact that he's playing a generic cheap-heat heel. For the most part. On this episode of Dynamite he got real, and it was pure magic. We talk about CM Punk's Pipebomb and how that will go down as one of the greatest promos of all time. Honestly, that MJF promo is right up there. Like that Miz promo from Talking Smack a few years ago. That's a promo people should never forget, and neither was that MJF promo. I was tearing up at the end of it.
Also the final touch of Punk coming down to the ring, and in all earnestness, asking "is that true?". Pure brilliance. I'm not even sure if they planned that part or not. Maybe Punk didn't even know what MJF was going to say in advance.
Welcome, Buddy Matthews. That was an unusual debut. I didn't really get it. Black is about to murder Penta with a shovel, Buddy turns out the lights and interrupts, only for him to take Black's side anyway? Why go to all that trouble when House of Black already had an advantage? The definition of a swerve for the sake of a swerve. Also I don't know or remember the history between Buddy and Black. Are they referring to their history in WWE?
Jericho and Kingston segment was awesome, as expected. Both guys took some mean shots at each other.
Bunny vs Cargill was more exciting than it had any right to be. Well done ladies. And welcome back Tay Conti!
Of course Danielson vs Garcia was awesome, and the show ends on a hot note with Mox and Danielson face to face.
Another great show.

A great example of a wrestling spot that should have been kept in the back.

That spot would have been fine if Brody didn’t sit PAC up there himself. If it was PAC and Penta trying to pull off some weird double team move, THEN Brody chopped him to hell and that happened, it would have been ok. But the whole thing was just silly.

Whenever Tony has details on the Owen tournament he says so before the announcement is made. This is something else he’s been working on. All those reports of him spending entire days in offices and on the phone is apparently building up to whatever he is announcing on Wednesday.

Will see if it pans out but Tony is master of getting overhyped and making people expect massive things, then get disappointed. My guess, he announces the lineup for the tournament, and it has Jeff Hardy and Claudio.

Dynamite and Rampage are finally hitting the west coast. Shows announced for California in June. The Dynamite after Double or Nothing will take place at the LA Forum, and that Friday a special LIVE Rampage will happen in The Young Bucks' hometown of Ontario, California.
Those will be some good shows, I bet. This also means AEW talent being allowed to work on the west coast again, since Tony made some dumb rule that they couldn't until AEW went back out there again.

With AEW now going to the west coast, it means they're just one step closer to finally doing shows in Canada.

West Coast shows also mean talent can then work west coast promotions.
