I thought the Packers showed plenty of spirit out there, they just couldn't get a big play to save themselves. Minnesota were kept honest the entire evening and ultimately didn't look that impressive against a side that has had their legitimate Superbowl aspirations crushed. Bakhtiari did an awesome job on Griffin the entire night and really kept him quiet.

Smith was once again the Vikings best and it was nice to see him respond to his Pro Bowl snub.

As somebody who is relatively naive to the NFL, how seriously do the fans take the Pro Bowl teams? We have similar selections in Rugby League, but more often than not it always seems politial and head-scratching.

The Packers had no fire last night , especially on offense. They seemed to be lethargic and just going through the motions - especially the veterans. The coaching is so horrible on this team , it showed up on defense again with a ton of blown assignments but even offensively last night there was some really fucking weird play calling that insinuated to me that even McCarthy didn't really try and win that game. Multiple 4th down calls where we had less than three yards to go and he chucks it deep with Hundley , who has to be one of the least accurate deep ball throwers in history. And most of those were one or two men routes where it was largely predetermined - meaning Hundley couldn't even do what he does best in scrambling.

Dom Capers has to go , the defense is awful and while the score doesn't completely show it - we were bailed out by lack of execution by the Vikings and field conditions.


As for the pro bowl @big Pete - it doesn't really matter. I mean Harrison Smith is a ridiculous snub but Bahktiari is up there as well , he is arguably the best left tackle in football. These days it's a fun talking point for fans to talk about their favorite players.

It used to mean more , now guys constantly sit out the game for no reason or because they go to the Super Bowl and it inflates the numbers of lesser players because now you are getting the 12th best cornerback in the AFC playing because the first 7 guys said no thanks. It also matters to some players to be named though because of contract incentives.

Chiefs win and lock in their fourth spot, so they can play the rookie next week which is all I wanted out of this week.

Why? Front office is shit, Capers is shit and they expect him to drag them to playoffs every year. It is sad, that greatest QB has only one ring and because of that he will never be the GOAT in peoples eyes. He is the reason i started to watch football.

Capers is shit , and I'm as frustrated by the Packers as anyone at times but to say he completely wasting his career there is a gross exaggeration rooted in hyperbole. 

He's thrived in Green Bay , was a broken collarbone away from setting the record for most consecutive playoff appearances , won MVPs , does have at least one ring and IMO has become the best quarterback in NFL history. Injuries have killed this franchise as well which is something you can't just predict. 

Rodgers is my favorite player of all time , I've loved for him and the team to have shared more success over the years but I'm not going to say he is wasting his career being the best quarterback in the NFL for one of the NFL's most historic and valued franchises.

Wow....Aaron is a great QB no doubt. but GOAT status??? That's a bit premature. I wouldn't take him over Montana, Brady, or Peyton career wise.

Why are you so surprised? This is hardly a revelation from me.

I have never seen anyone play quarterback to the levels of Rodgers. Period.

Looking like another beat down in this Houston game, Yates stinking the joint up and defense looks like they packed it in for the season.

The Texans had two tries from the one yard line and passed both times. Most stupidly, an interception in the end zone in 4th and goal to give Pitt the ball at the 20.

Bill Obrien sucks. I got a feeling were going to be passing him along to Blindy in a few weeks

The Steelers are blowing the Texans out to counterbalance shinobimusashi blowing me out in the 2017 Fan Fiction Draft Finals.

Rogers is definitely GOAT status, he's the most efficient QB ever (while often having to run for his life).

Either way, nothing to see in Texas, sound beating.
