Marvel’s Spider-Man is a great game, unfortunately for sandylea it's the only draft pick of hers, that I've actually played. CM Punk'd has Donkey Kong Country (a fantastic platformer), Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (which is a fun game and gets bonus points for being one of the few games I play with my sons), as well as GTA V and Metroid Prime which are both great as well.

Sandy got two of my favorite games in Bloodborne and Hollow Knight. That is where my pick went.

This was tight.

I decided to go head to head for this one.

Uncharted 2 > DKC (10-9) - I'm far more familiar with DKC, but Uncharted 2 was all about putting players in death defying scenarios that could only be experienced in cut-scenes in years gone by and giving them control over them.

Bloodborne > Tetris Effect (10-9) - I can respect Tetris, but this is just a mismatch with Bloodborne being a far more memorable and compelling experience.

Grand Theft Auto V > Hollow Knight (10-9) - Honestly Hollow Knight did well to close the game against one of gaming's best franchises and a real return to form after vanilla GTA IV. I still prefer the campaign in San Andreas but throw in online and GTAV is the best representative of the series. Punk'd is on the board.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate > Days Gone (10-8) - OK this is where my bias has kicks in. I'm only familiar with Days Gone via Twitch and while it's a fun game to stream I just think it's a level below Ultimate as a package which is the best Smash game and a wonderful tribute to video games as a whole.

Horizon Zero Dawn > Fallout 4 (10-9) - I always heard if you're going to play a new Fallout game, play New Vegas. 4 is still good though, but not good enough to topple one of the best IPs of last generation.

Marvel Spider-Man > Banjo Kazooie (10-9) - Another case where I'm far more familiar with BK, but Spider-Man is technically a far more advanced game having come out some 20 years later. A really cool tribute to Spider-Man that nailed the action while also giving fans plenty to sink their teeth in. Can't wait for a sequel.

DOOM Eternal > Spirit Fairer (10-9) - OK this is nearly impossible to compare so I'm just going to treat it like this. We're hanging out and you put these two games in front of me, I'm picking DOOM Eternal because I'm just more partial towards action games. I could see that opinion changing if I played through Spirit Fairer since it could potentially make a bigger impression.

Metroid Prime > Jade Empire (10-9) - This is tough but I think the only RPGs from that era that could really challenge Prime for me is KOTOR or Morrowind on reputation. Jade is meant to be really good, but Prime is a remarkably well made game and still meant to be the best of the series.

CM Punk'd 5-3 with one round being completely dominant.
