Al Riveron has no clue what the he'll he's doing, he's throwing darts on the board at this point. That's incomplete, ball moved on the ground, that's it.
Not that it matters since Peterman wasn't going to do shit vs JAX but still.
He is deserving of a pink slip after the year, he is awful. He messed up so many calls in Jets games this year.

After that 1st down run by Peterman, I thought for sure he was going to win them the game. Good thing they didn’t. Although the Bills were a fun story, they are so boring to watch.
Jacksonville and Pittsburgh is going to be sick and honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if JAX dominates Pitt again and makes it to the AFC Championship game where they try and solve TB12.

If Bilal Powell and Elijah McGuire ran rampant on Jacksonville, why wouldn't bell coming off a bye do so?
Lazy ass Dareus isn't a single handed difference maker. Jacksonville doesn't have enough ammo in the tank to hang.
They'll need fournette to find his Sept or October self but he doesn't have that same burst due to conditioning.

Terrible offensive showing by Buffalo. Tyrod is a back up QB and that is all he will ever be. With that said I'm kind of glad they lost after this showing I think the Titans would have a much better shot at beating New England.
I'm rooting for Carolina in this one. I've just never been a fan of the saints unless they are up against a team I just hate.

Rooting for Saints, there's probably only a couple of teams left to really cause Pats problems and Saints is one. Pretty well rounded football team.

Looks like the good Cam showed up today. Throwing nice and accurately so far. He's going to need to play out of his skin by the looks of things because he's not getting much help from anyone around him.

Imagine if we fired Gettleman after the Super Bowl and still had Norman & Ginn...

Stupid question time...
Why can't two teams from the same conference meet in the SuperBowl? I get how it works but can't understand the logic of it.

Stupid question time... Why can't two teams from the same conference meet in the SuperBowl? I get how it works but can't understand the logic of it. It goes back to the NFL vs the AFL in 1967. The Afl was always the lesser league, the players not good enough to get into the NFL...etc. Then Super Bowl III happened, when the Namath led Jets beat the old guard. Then it happened again in SB IV with the Chiefs winning. They merged leagues in 1970, as the NFL recognized them as equals. They made the AFC and NFC to remember the old days under the umbrella of the NFL.

It seems limiting though on potential post-season matchups. Why not draw teams into conferences each year? Has the issue ever come up?

Great kick by Gano to redeem his earlier miss.
Saints just look like they've got too many weapons for Carolina to handle. Michael Thomas making beautiful layout grabs compared to the Panthers scrubs dropping easy balls in the endzone is really the difference between these two teams.

Brees has been brilliant tonight. Cam's done a nice job trying to rally his team and the Panthers deserve a little credit for stopping Kamara and Ingram, but the Saints are just a all-round better team. Watching this offence against the Vikings defence next week is going to be great.

The Dome is now silent. What a comeback by the Panthers.
Although they need one more of those.

Stupid question time... Why can't two teams from the same conference meet in the SuperBowl? I get how it works but can't understand the logic of it. CK already mentioned this but it started out as 2 entirely separate leagues, AFL and NFL. They had a Monday Night War type competition between the 2 leagues in the 1960's and this war was essentially what created the Super Bowl and was responsible for the sport passing up baseball to become #1 most popular sport in USA in that decade until this day. AFL was really awesome. There is a documentary on Youtube made by Showtime called "Full Color Football", highly recommended from me. If you are interested in the sport I would recommend watching some classic NFL Films stuff, the 22 minute Super Bowl XXV highlight film, anything on the Ice Bowl, or the 1958 NFL Championship Game, or the 1981 AFC playoff between San Diego vs Miami, great stories, great characters, great games. In Full Color Football there were some old school AFL fans saying that they should have kept the two leagues separate like they do in Major League Baseball with the National and American Leagues, a lot of what made AFL special was just absorbed into the NFL and was kind of lost over time after the merger. AFC and NFC conferences did have their own distinct feel in the 80's and 90's though, the NFC completely dominated the AFC for years but AFC was still very interesting. It's still weird to me seeing the Seattle Seahawks playing in NFC playoffs or in the Super Bowl against AFC teams, I grew up with them being in the AFC. I'm not a fan of the idea of teams switching conferences.

Carolina need a WR baaaad. The first half dropped TD and the weak ass effort from Funchess on the second last play really stood out as huge missed opportunities. Great finish to a good game.

I agree, HR. I also don’t think Kelvin Benjamin was the answer either.

I agree, HR. I also don’t think Kelvin Benjamin was the answer either. Yes, I don't think they lost much at all going from Benjamin to Funchess (he actually had exactly the same amount of catches this year as Benjamin did in 2016) but the problem is clearly at WR2 where the next best was Russell Shepard with 17 (and none in the last five games). Funchess had a decent game tonight, that last play not withstanding, 80 yards against Lattimore whilst less than 100% is a fine effort, but they just have no threat on the other side. Perhaps Curtis Samuel can come back next season and be that guy, but I think they'd definitely be looking to bring someone in.

Man, that Gano miss really hurt in the end. Sucks how it ended but we weren't ready for another super bowl run. It was a hell of a season though. #KeepPounding
