In GCW Maki and Gage are known as Maki Death Kill.  They also do signing and shit together as Gage is a bit protective of her when she comes over for GCW.  She is like his daughter in spirit.   It is super cute.

This may be the first show they worked together.  Neither of them tour the US for long.  But with Gage you got to watch for Maki now and her iron head.  She headbutts ZSJ he is not getting up.

Out of the ring sure they will get on well given ZSJ been in Japan long enough to have picked up the language.  And Maki still is not very good at English which is why her stays here are so short.

And as I post those. Not super well known, but Gage is a huge fan of ZSJ and that style of wrestling. He said in interviews stuff like that is his favorite style of wrestling. He does the deathmatch stuff because that is what he personally does best.

Super curious if Gage does the euro wrist control dances or not with ZSJ.  I suspect he does, and takes a ton of weird submissions.  Not be shocked either if he taps.  Gage is beyond needing wins.

Also is that Donst in the tube clip? I know he went into the death match game after his character didn't go anywhere in Chikara.

Donst does not wrestle much anymore. Really only works a few times a year in the Jersey / Ohio area.

They were not kidding about this being sold out, it is packed wall to wall.

ZSJ shocked a ton of people taking spots in the tacks and getting speared through a door. And no surprise, Gage put him over. People were saying it was a great match. Sounded like what you would expect, Gage working a hardcore style, while ZSJ attacked his limbs. From the sound of it likely the best match Gage ever did. Then again, Gage rarely got to work with someone like ZSJ.

Sounded like Maki's match was also a chaotic bloody mess. She is slowly adding in Gage's spots. Did the face wash. I am hoping she adds the chokebreaker too.


Hilarious interview leading up to this event. Gage was asked if he watched a lot of other deathmatch stuff. He responded he is good at deathmatches so that is what he does but he mostly watches good wrestling listing off his favorite guys from the NWA territory days.

Feel like a fucking idiot. Shared that Utami Hayashishita was doing an excursion elsewhere, with a GCW appearance, but my dumb ass overlooked where. Literally 20 minutes from me. Just found out like 15 minutes ago. Far too late to attend.

Luckily the only people on the show I miss that I really wanted to see were her, Gage and Cartwheel. But damn, not often you could get to meet the leader of Queen's Quest.

My exact thoughts when Brett announced this on Twitter. He may just be there to hype his concert that happens after the show. Which is also a bad idea.

Jeff gonna Jeff though. Pretty sure if he fucks again a lot of people are done with him entirely this time. Reby was done with him the last time and rarely answer questions about him anymore on stream. Wolfie and Maxel never really talk about him either when they are playing games for stream. Hear about Ruby and Nera, and even Britt more than Jeff these days.

I can almost hear the incoherent promo about being 'more human than human' or some bullshit now.

Really feel like they are going to do Jeff vs Vikingo or Komander. Which will leave everyone disappointed as Jeff has not been on that level for almost 20 years. Same thing happened his first time in RoH and they booed the shit out of him so bad he was not used again for over a decade.

Best thing they could do is have him come out, put over other high flyers, announce some match, then leave. No wrestling. But Brett is a huge Hardy fan, so he is gonna want him to work a match.

He wasn't even at level 20 years ago. I remember when he came to TNA for the first time, and and had that match with AJ Styles. AJ was in a different league.

He's a monkey.

The first two years he was on TV regularly for WWE he was on fire. He was doing spots like bouncing his legs off the top rope for moonsaults or sentons that no else was doing even to this day. After the threeway TLC when they split Matt and Jeff, he started to go downhill fast, working a spotty style that was basically phoning it in. He recovered for the Expedition of Gold working a different style, but then started to phone shit in again after their WWE return.

It's called methamphetamine.

And plenty of guys were doing what he was doing and there's millions of guys since who can do it better.

Jeff had rockstar qualities. Although he can't promo, he has an intangible type of charisma, good looks and a particular degree of recklessness that made him, for lack of a better term, cool. That's the appeal of Jeff Hardy in 2000.
