Tony just announced that talent is not required to be at the show due to the hurricane.  This will be a come as you are show based on who makes it or not.  Show is in Philly so will go on, but air travel may be greatly disrupted for those not already in the area.  Mandatory evacs and shit are already triggering since the storm is likely to hit Florida at full force.
 

With Shane Helms on the show, they don’t need anyone else anyway!

Seriously though this could be a really good show. Whenever they have to call an audible due to weather or something else unforeseen, they usually get loose and have fun with everyone. I hope we get that.

Jon Moxley's first match after leaving the WWE was in New Japan Pro Wrestling. His opponent? None other than Juice Robinson. At that time Robinson was a popular squeaky clean babyface, and the IWGP United States Champion. Nobody could have been ready for what the reborn Jon Moxley would bring to the table. The Death Rider wrestled dirty, brawling, scrapping and notably biting his opponent. Robinson bled from his eyebrow where he was bitten, and lost in relatively effortless fashion to the newcomer. Moxley walked in and took Juice's gold.



They met again two months later in the G1 Climax, where Juice Robinson got his revenge, defeating Jon Moxley.

Since then the two men have not crossed paths. Until today. Juice Robinson is a changed man: he is a villain, he is in Bullet Club, he is ROCK HARD! Moxley has also grown in his time at AEW, becoming stronger and stronger, and is the current reigning AEW World Heavyweight Champion.

This is the rubber match, but there's not much suspense because everyone knows Moxley will win. Or will he?

Some will rage, but it would be a wild fucking storyline if Juice beats Mox then takes the belt back to Japan, leading MJF to go psychotic as his title shot is being taken away from him.

Turn it into an angle where Juice sends guys to the US that MJF has to beat, but never gives him the title shot, forcing MJF to go to Japan to take the title back at WK.

I would love that but it’ll never happen.

I would like Juice to win though. Tony is going hard on the “Juice is one of the few people to pin Moxley recently” narrative so it could happen. Gets his title shot but loses, then they have a final rubber match somewhere down the road.

Bonus points: Juice gets his title shot and brings Bullet Club along to help get the AEW title. MJF uses The Firm to prevent Bullet Club from stealing his prize and making it harder to obtain. Bullet Club and The Firm have a mini feud in the US via Dynamite and Impact.

Just announced: Toni Storm is defending the Interim Women’s title against “The Professor” Serena Deeb tomorrow night.

As per Tony Khan, since Deeb pinned Toni Storm in a tag match two weeks ago, she has earned her shot after Storm retained the title last week.

Glad Tony is utilizing the same stip NJPW has used in the past. If the champ gets pinned or submitted in a non-title match that person should get a shot.

He grew a lot in NJPW. Fans loved him when he was a face. But if you missed all that then yeah, I get it.
