First thoughts on Bandido. He looks like a cowboy themed stripper. Final thoughts on him. He is really good and should win this match.

I thought it was an impressive showing for Bandido as well and another feather in the cap of Chris Jericho. It occurred to me during the match how weird Pro Wrestling psychology is. The delayed suplex was an impressive display of endurance, but from a kayfabe perspective dumb as hell. It's this weird paradox where fans can really appreciate the real athleticism even at the expense of the match. They also had a happy accident with Bandido busting his nose on the Codebreaker. The blood coming through the bandana made for a nice visual and added to the drama of the match.
If he's a free agent, you'd have to offer Bandido a deal after that match. However I don't know where you'd fit him in other than adding him to a 6-Man tag which feels like a waste. As Freddie Prinze Jr often relayed, you're paying 6 people for one match.
The women's segment - bless their hearts. That was a trainwreck from the get go that only got worse as it went on. From Toni refusing to stand alongside Saraya, Saraya's shocking juvenile comeback against Britt and Saraya having to remind Toni to lift the title it was so shockingly bad.
It was a solid show otherwise. The only real disappointment is that they gave the Acclaimed a throw-away backstage segment. I think of all the acts from last week, they should have capitalised on the Acclaimed's momentum and at least got them in front of the crowd. It's one thing to have them wrestle on Rampage where a fraction of the TV audience watches, another to keep their momentum going on Dynamite.

They need to shit or get off the pot with ROH. You're not going to have a better match showcasing what ROH could be than what we got last night. Start announcing an ROH roster, cancel Dark: Elevation and do an hour-long ROH episode on YouTube that airs every Monday the hour before Raw starts. I don't know what the relationship with Universal Studios is but they've taped Dark there before so use that place and tape 3-4 episodes worth of content once a month. Or use Daily's Place if you think you can fill it.
Actually have consequential matches and storylines so people will tune in. If you can hit ~50k live viewers on YouTube every week that's money in your pocket for very minimal work, and it gives all these ROH guys something to do. And you can start moving your bloated midcard over there to give them some more fat to chew on character-wise while continuing to develop.
Dark and Dark: Elevation are nice bonuses for the fans but aside from 1-2 decent matches on Dark every week, nothing happens and it's just AEW names padding their stats by beating nobodies. You have an overflow of talent at your disposal and the ROH name that you paid big bucks for and you're just cock-teasing the fans with the odd match on TV for some reason.
Jericho and Samoa Joe are good soldiers that would do a few tapings to get ROH over, Joe especially since he's barely being used on TV. Throw some of the ROH talent you've brought back on the show, utilize the talent that has been stuck on Dark for the past year (The Wingmen would be crazy over in ROH. So would Skye Blue.) and fucking lets go already.
...
Anyway Dynamite was pretty good. Disaster women's segment aside I enjoyed the show. Jericho/Bandido was amazing.

Did anyone else catch the JAS guy opening with "AEW Galaxy...Appreciate us"?
Who is this random pizza guy? Is he a wrestler with a pizza Super Mario gimmick? Not sure why the crowd are begging for pizza, they'd have to share 8 pizzas between a crowd of several thousand. Maybe a crumb for each person. Anna Jay has been taking promo classes from Vickie Guerrero, which is not a good thing.
Daniel Garcia really knows how to pick his moments, doesn't he? Instead of dumping the JAS when he had Jericho one-to-one, wait until you're in the ring with the entire stable. Great idea. Garcia surely knows they're going to destroy him if he rejects them now. Oh, here comes Brian Danielson. I know he has the best intentions, but isn't interrupting Garcia kinda disrespectful? Not to the extent of Jericho's disrespect, of course, but yeah.
Ironically, in his ultimate rejection of sports entertainment, Garcia is coming out as a sports entertainer. Throwing the hat off and slamming it on the ground. Cutting a promo shitting all over sports entertainment...that's the most sports entertainy thing he's done in his entire career. But anyway we're getting a match that nobody wants to see - Danielson vs Mister Shout-a-lot from 2.0. I love Danielson but even I'm skipping this one.
Wheeler Yuta...he's definitely in the right club. Not a sports entertainer at all. But it's great that he's trying. It wasn't awful, but certainly pretty bad. 3/10. Unfortunately, MJF is going to talk out of kayfabe and bury Yuta's mic skills instead of sticking to the feud. Yep, MJF did just that, in what was a bad (for MJF standards) promo. 5/10.
I hyped up Juice vs Mox pretty hard, but this match is pretty meh. It's like AEW sucks the personality out of NJPW guys, even the American ones. Okada came across as a nobody. Juice doesn't seem to have much swag compared to what I've seen from him recently in NJPW. If you didn't know he was repping Bullet Club, you wouldn't know. Or maybe it's not Juice but rather subtleties in AEW's production compared to New Japan's. Anyway, Juice is biting Moxley's forehead, which is a nice callback to their 2019 matches. They both hit some moves. Surprisingly abrupt finish, but I kinda liked it. Something different.
Britt Baker's name rhymes with "shit"? What? Whatever that was, it flew way over my head. Besides that, I don't think the women's segment was as bad as everyone thinks. A trainwreck? Hardly. It was at least better than Wheeler Yuta's promo, and I wouldn't even describe that as a trainwreck, just a bad promo. Saraya was a bit awkward on the mic, but she's enthusiastic which is kinda cool.
As expected (because it's a Toni Storm match), the Interim Women's Championship match was pretty lousy. Liked the finishing sequence though.
I've never seen Bandido before, but I love him continuing to pose while Jericho's entrance starts  Bandido is certainly very impressive, isn't he? What can't he do? I enjoyed the match, a great way to close the show.
This is clearly heading towards ROH Pure Champion Daniel Garcia vs ROH World Champion Chris Jericho. Maybe they do a pure rules match where Garcia wins, then Jericho wins the rematch for the world championship. Or maybe they have just one match and Garcia becomes double champion!!

Squeeler Yuta's promo was bad as well, but Paige rambled, argued with the producers, came up with the worst comeback of all-time and stumbled all over her lines. The fans were already annoyed that she was basically doing a Stephanie McMahon esque 'Women's Revolution' promo but it's right up there as one of the worst promos in AEW history.

Looks like Jericho is going to start an angle of working all of the RoH great champions until he faces Joe. I presume the original plan was for him to go through them all then face Punk, but that seems out of the question now.
If the final forbidden door even opens this was be the perfect time to do it and do Jericho vs KO.

Seriously if they planned on having Punk’s title run culminate with “I must defend ROH in a title vs title match” then they’re fucking morons. Nothing against ROH if but if they take “the greatest prize in wrestling today” and equate it with the ROH World title then fire everyone in creative immediately. I’m a bit miffed Danielson is already fighting Jericho. If anything he should be the final boss in this angle. Unless Jericho is going to drop the title already then ok? Fine? Just give ROH a show already fuck this is getting stupid.

I can accept that.

Replace Battle of the Belts where 3 people defend their titles on a boring show with ROH free TV that actually has cool shit happen.
Do 3 ROH PPVs a year. Involve them with Forbidden Door. Have crossovers with Impact during the week. Josh Alexander challenges for the Pure title. Get Dante Martin and Rey Fenix involved with the X Division. There’s so many possibilities.

Glad to see Adam Page is over with the AEW fans. I thought all the drama from the Elite/Punk bullshit may have caused some fans to sour on him. If only for a week or 2. I'm glad that isn't the case.
