WWE has officially announced that Goldberg is the first inductee into this year's class of Hall of Famers.
I guess he's gonna be this year's headliner.

Great news.
I was always a fan of Goldberg during his time in WCW, and while his WWE runs weren't as great, I'm happy to see him go into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Happy to hear he is inducted. May not be the best in-ring but no one can deny his presence in the wrestling world at the height of his peak.

The WWE offered him a legends contract that would take away some of those rights to his name and appearances and such and it wasn't lucrative enough.

It's Time! It's Time! It's Vader time! Leon White, the man from the Rocky Mountains is due.
Though I was never a fan, Honky deserves it.

I was a huge fan of Honky and still am, but I doubt he cares if he gets inducted
Hope he would end his speech by saying now turn my music on!

Hell has frozen over. It has been reported, and confirmed, that Jeff Jarrett, that's J-E-Double F, J-A-Double R-E-Double T, is going to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
That's a shocker.

That's one of , if not THE most shocking name left out there. Not just because of their heat but because Jarrett wasn't so big of a star (ala Macho) that the WWE had no other choice to eventually induct him. I always liked Jarrett in the New Generation era , I thought he was an awesome all around performer. I liked him less and less as the years went by though. This should make Baker happy.

I am kinda shocked WWE didn't put JBL in as that mid tier HOF inductee this year. Either they
A) View him worthy as being a headliner of his own class B) His bullying most recently with Mauro Ranallo would bring too much negative publicity or it'd be in poor form when Mauro works with the company even if its purely for NXT.
JBL is Vince's boy and stood loyal with the company for decades, scumbag or not.

Triple H is a miracle worker. Maybe but he will convert me into a believer if he can get The Steiner Bros in the WWE HOF. Not a chance in hell though would WWE/Triple H give Big Poppa Pump "A Fucking Mic". The things I would do to see Scott Steiner cut a shoot in the WWE hall of fame with Flair, and HHH in the house.

I love how WWE has had an eternal culture of pranks and hazing and people still try to label JBL as something other than that.
Adults in a workplace is harassment. Nothing more than rumors and accusations. No due process. No investigation. No charges. No settlement or fine. Just speculation.

Well, the "Koko B. Ware" standard has been lowered. At least he had Frankie and was popular with the kids. Jarrett was average at best at everything and great at nothing.
Hopefully this doesn't put names like Bam Bam Bigelow and Vader (and dozens of others for that matter) on the backburner.

This should make Baker happy. You know it does! I'm not even that surprised by this. Not after Warrior, Bruno, Zbyszko, and even Bret got in. Plus Vince and Jeff had been on speaking terms since Jarrett's wife got sick over a decade ago. He's absolutely deserving. To say otherwise is just silly. Multiple time IC and WCW Champion. Founder of TNA. Drawer of like 780 dimes from one person alone. I could go on for an hour with a You Deserve It clap clap clapclapclap rant if I were so inclined. And then there's this. Face it. Your favorite wrestler will never do anything this cool. Remember folks. That's J-E-Double F J-A-Double R-E-Double T. The world's greatest singer. The world's greatest entertainer. The world's greatest wrestler. And now the world's greatest Hall of Famer. Haha. Ain't he great?

The word controversial gets thrown out all too often, but it fits Jeff. Whether you cheered him, booed him, watched him or changed the channel, Jeff was able to get an emotional reaction out of you.
As somebody who grew up with WCW, I got to watch a lot of Jarrett, particularly when he made his return in 1999. I didn't know it at the time, but during it's dying days, Jeff was apart of some of the best angles in the company. In one of the early episodes of 2000, there was a great episode where Jeff had to run the gauntlet against all these legends like George 'The Animal' Steele, Tito Santana & Jimmy Snuka. Jeff worked hard to make the most of the opportunity and ended up giving himself a concussion and missing the PPV (giving us one of the best WCW matches of the year in Sid/Benoit). Then later in the year, WCW toured Australia and Jeff was on fire in the Brisbane show, doing an amazing parody of Sting and all his different incarnations. As wretched as WCW was, Jeff never mailed it in and proved he deserved better than he was perceived in the WWF.
After watching the bulk of WWF shows in 1999, Jarrett deserves more credit for resuscitating the Intercontinental Championship. Before Jarrett, the title was jumping around from superstar to superstar and really lost it's way. When Jeff filled in for Owen, he brought back the style of match that had been missing and made it an alluring prize for the ninth wonder of the world.
If nothing else, he also gave that pencil neck geek Rove McManus what was coming to him. For that, he was already an Australian Hall of Famer.
