So Kidd Bandit was just pretty much forced off Twitter. His offenses? Kidd made a mistake booking a flight and got stuck in England and asked twitter if anyone could help until they got things sorted. Trolls came out and accused them of grooming and conning fans because UK wrestling fans put him up for a few nights. Then Kidd posted on his personal, non-public facebook, he was upset and worried about his mental health and did not want to end up like Hana Kimura. Someone reposted it to twitter and Kidd got fucking dogpiled hard for disrespecting Hana by referring to her suicide. Kidd deleted his twitter, and I believe is gone from Facebook as well. Went so far that people are trying to force Cody or Nightmare Factory to make a statement denouncing Kidd because they trained them.
Literally the post that set this shit off.

Not just wrestling fans. I think the option of remaining anonymous on social media bring out the best and worst in a lot of people.

This one was particularly ugly to see. The story of Kidd could very well end in suicide due to bullying. It is sick that death threats online as generally considered free speech.

People in this case wrestling fans put different value on people's lives. It is a valid comparison being bullied on social media to the point you can't deal with it anymore. And since the key demo is male, the value of a woman in much higher. Like when women started speaking about sexual misconduct they have experienced. Keith Lee mentioned something that happen to him and wrestling fans jumped on him.

I think you have to try and grow as much thick skin as possible when it comes to wrestling and I think it is for the better to disable social media because being on it too much does you no good. The problem here is The Bandit Kidd is an Indie wrestler and is reliant on self promotion so in a sense, they need social media to continue their career. I just hope they are able to dial it back where they aren't taking everything to heart.
I think it is human nature to let the negative get to you over the positive but it is important to hold onto the positivity and let that fuel your fire.

Yeah, Bandit has like no income right now due to this shit. Believe they are still in the UK right now too which makes it much worse. Has a few people helping him out but they are also getting death threats from the psychopaths. Everything is made worse most likely by the fact that Bandit is deep into their transition and full of hormones. Which is really what this is all about. People want the trans wrestler to suffer.
Just disgusts me because everyone says Bandit is amazing and loves their fans, and when they have cash, they are known to help out smaller wrestlers. Dude also really puts off over his opponents hardcore on social media and shit. I mean for Black was like two weeks of asking people how they could possibly beat him. Which reddit decided the best option was to offer him a kitten, then roll him up as Black was unable to resist loving yet another kitty. Sadly no kitten was available the day of the show so Kidd got beat.

Social media has led to a lot of people having these weird like...parasocial relationships with wrestlers where they think wrestlers are actually their friends, not just people who want money from them.
I think wrestlers asking for donations if they're injured or ill is one thing, but asking fans (a lot of whom think they're your actual friend because you liked their tweet once) to give you money because you chose the wrong date when you booked your flight is kinda shady. Especially when they're asking for £1400, which is a LOT for a plane ticket.
It's like a few months ago when Effy got a speeding ticket and asked his fans on Twitter to donate money to him. He got absolutely dragged for it, then quickly changed to "uwu i was only joking lol" mode.
A lot of people just really aren't suited to being a public figure. I definitely couldn't do it. KB deactivates social media and threatens to quit wrestling every few months. I really don't think they're suited to it. It's not healthy.
Anyway - they're still wrestling in the UK. They have a match tomorrow. It's not they're stranded in a strange country with no way to make money. And the Facebook page the post came from wasn't a personal one - anyone can access it if they pay on Patreon!
