Def looking like a neck injury right now. He landed really badly twisting his neck horribly on the landing. This is the same spot that my friend shattered his jaw on. Them flippy lariats are bad news.

AEW just released a statement, saying that Hangman suffered a concussion, and was released from the hospital. But he will remain in concussion protocol.

Didn't say anything about his neck.  So, he likely dodged a bullet in that facet.

Good to hear that Hangman was cleared of any serious injury. It was pretty scary moment and while they need to give it sometime, this is the type of incident that can actually serve Hangman well in the future. Better than just doing the job to Moxley which was clearly the direction they were going in.

Definitely feels like they're inching more towards a MJF babyface run. That was a pretty effective segment between him and Regal and it's certainly framed as Moxley being the obstacle as opposed to Moxley stopping MJF from getting his way.

@aaron were you responsible for that women's segment? Shida just straight up vanished only for RIHO to appear and clear house. If you don't put AEW over now, you simply cannot be pleased - that was 100% pandering.

If he neck was hurt he would not have been released so fast.  His neck twisted but not unnaturally.  Landing on his forehead however was instant concussion.  Looked like AEW did not want to take any risks those with his neck when they got him out of the ring, which is not a bad thing to see at all.  Good to see them taking injuries more seriously.

Yeah you always treat something like that as if the neck is injured. That’s first response 101.

You can tell he was knocked out immediately. Watch him land. His body is completely stiff and he doesn’t move for several seconds. Thank goodness the ref noticed right away and seemed to inform Mox so he wouldn’t walk over and start kicking him or something.

MJF with an amazing promo. I knew when he announced he was going to tell a story it would be good. Regal's reaction was solid, but to me he's clearly lost something on the mic since joining AEW. Not as eloquent as he used to be. Got the point across well enough though, very interesting character development.

Regal's problem is he is not a true heel like he normally is and lacks the power his character has had for 20 plus years. So he cannot really hit that groove he used to.

I am hoping that feud becomes MJF vs BCC and not just MJF vs Mox. Because MJF vs DB would also be fucking amazing, as would matches with Yuta and Claudio for the title. And what a way to turn MJF than have him fight and beat the entire BCC and finally earning Regal's respect at the end?

He’s definitely lost a step or two but damn was that a solid line. Absolutely crushed MJF in one sentence after an all-timer promo. Regal is a legend.

Did they add crowd chants to the woman's match because I heard a lot of noise from the crowd but didn't actually see the crowd making them.

That MJF and Regal segment was very good.

More titles. Forgot about ROH six man titles.

If the final forbidden door was open now. Jericho vs. Rollins would be great with battles from the crowd singing entrances theme.

Riho vs. Jamie probably isn't the best match for Riho's return. Jamie most likely will be heavily cheered.

I know the show must go on, but if that was a real injury then Excalibur seemed a little heartless. Barely showed any concern

I'm surprised you were down on Regal's promo Emp. In general he's been more humble than previous incarnations but I thought his rebuttal was a masterclass on how to handle that type of double-turn promo and come up smelling like roses. He didn't try to match MJF's enthusiasm, he just told it how it is from his perspective and in the end the segment turned out really effective.

It was also far and away the most successful segment of the night of any show judging by the quarter hour break-down. Outside of the big lead-in for AEW, both shows were neck and neck through out. It was really only this one segment that blew NXT out the water.
