Collision tonight is set to hold up to 5000 fans. Said yesterday 1500 seats unsold. Been advertising Punk until today. He could not move 5000 tickets even. Was anyone dumb enough to actually think Punk was going to be at the show?😂 Even a mark has their limits of stuff they'll fall for. I want to say no, but I saw Twitter today and some honestly expected Perry to be fired.

All Out opens with Jack Perry “So Chicago, what you wanna talk about?” Likely he is gonna face a long suspension as Tony's backstage group finally starts to do their jobs and end this shit starting with Punk. He is trying to sell a streaming deal, he cannot have this shit happening while trying it.

Now all is said and done looks like everyone will win. AEW gets a quiet backstage, and now Punk can channel his anger and drive to fight somewhere more productively, like UFC.

He knew what he was doing and will cost AEW money if Punk was tied to WBD negotiations.

Well now I really want to see the backstage footage.
Something had to give, either they had to work a program out or somebody had to make way. I think it's a shame they've had to resort to the latter because Punk brought something to the promotion that had been sorely missing and he knew how to generate interest and push buttons. If there's been one issue with AEW, they've struggled in that regard and it's been this wish fulfillment company for the wrestlers, the promoter and one segment of the audience.
Punk really has nobody but himself to blame for all of this. With that said, his tenure has really exposed an ugly side of the company and they'll have to address it or it'll lose more ground to the WWE.
I still think it's ridiculous this all started over Colt Cabana of all wrestlers and if the Jack Perry story is true, he was an idiot to behave the way he did.
Now that Punk is out, the company better actually improve instead of putting out this tonally inconsistent milquetoast product. No excuses anymore.

With all of these stories flying around I'm confused as to what Jack Perry actually said or did. All I remember is some shit about a glass spot?

With all of these stories flying around I'm confused as to what Jack Perry actually said or did. All I remember is some shit about a glass spot? A few weeks back, Punk cut a promo when the show went off the air where he addressed a fan holding a Hangman Page sign by calling him a pegwarmer because he fails to move merchandise (toys specifically). This led to a huge uproar in the media and several stories were leaked where Punk had put the kabosh on several talents including Hangman Page, Ryan Nemeth and Jungle Boy. The Jungle Boy story is that he wanted to take a bump on a windshield and several agents tried to talk him out of it. Punk ultimately stepped in and told him we don't do these type of things on Collission and Jungle Boy hung onto that resentment.
So he does the bump in the pre-show of Wembley, both he and Hook get cut and he looked in the camera and said 'Real Glass! Go cry me a river!'
This whole Brawl Out thing started because Meltzer reported on Punk getting Cabana fired and the Bucks having to intervene to land Cabana a job on ROH. Even though Cabana had barely been used as anything more than a background character in Dark Order.
While there is an element of hypocrisy, Punk was reportedly fined $25K for those comments and apologised to Hangman after. Jungle Boy reportedly never backed down after his knock and when confronted over it doubled down.

...so all this high school bullshit stemmed from a Cabana hire? Dude, grow the fuck up.
Punk is an immature, unprofessional ballsack. He was cool when I was an edgy teenager but now this shtick is just sad. Just go live on an island and get fat off Pepsi floats if you're gonna constantly be like this.

He was cool when I was an edgy teenager but now this shtick is just sad. Just go live on an island and get fat off Pepsi floats if you're gonna constantly be like this. You're not wrong, but just to clarify it stemmed because Punk went out on a limb to support Sasha Banks and Naomi only for Hangman to expose him as a massive hypocrite on TV and reports came out he got Cabana fired. This pissed Punk off for a few reasons and since they never cleared the air, Punk took anything Hangman had to say about the veterans the worst way possible.
It all came to a head when Punk returned from injury and immediately called out Hangman without anyone's knowledge and buried him. Then when he injured his tricep, he went full scorched earth knowing he wouldn't be back for another 6-9 months.
I think you can read between the lines as well and I doubt it all stemmed from Cabana. I'd imagine just like his fall-out with the WWE, Punk has some legitimate gripes with the company, but he also just made everything worse. For instance, I bet dollars to donuts there was professional jealousy and there would have been resentment over TV time, with Punk receiving preferential treatment over Hangman. I doubt they were thrilled they spent all that time building Hangman up only for him to be an after thought and have him drop the title to Punk.

For the Perry glass spot, producers and Tony approved the spot, Perry got the car to do the spot with, but when he got back to the arena Punk found out about it and said no, overruled the producers and had it cancelled. Then a story was leaked that Perry wanted to do a dangerous spot that the doctors did not approve of using real glass and got upset backstage when he was told no. The spot turned out to be what he did at All In.

The independent investigation involved some of the WBD people as David Zaslav was inform very early that Punk would be fired and approved of it.
Punk plans to do Art of Wrestling podcast part 2 with a press release burning down AEW. Sure like the Art of Wrestling podcast people will take it as absolute fact, despite Punk walking back a lot of what he said on the stand. I am sure he plans to claim the Bucks are unprofessional drama creators, unlike someone who uses a press release to bitch about his former company.

The spot turned out to be what he did at All In. I don't know where you're pulling that from, Alvarez reported that the claims Perry wanted to do a dangerous spot to avoid work was wrong as JB had his time off approved. However, it was simply Punk who told him he couldn't do his car spot.
Punk could have taken the blame, but Schiavone and the doctors turning to Punk as Fightful reported sounds correct.
Especially when Alvarez has a spotty at best track record with Punk.

Y'all sitting here trying to make sense of it, Punk has spent 20 years alienating everyone in the business, and the last 2 years it's been no different.
This is ' Rise & Fall ' type of stuff.
Punk has had a good career, very good in fact despite being, CM Punk. The smartest thing he could do would be ride off into the sunset, grow old and find some enjoyment in life, because he's miserable. And always has been.

So what's worse than lunging?
Did Punk attempt another Buckshot?
Tony's address certainly supports Meltzer's report in the Observer, but I find it odd that it took until Thursday for it to come out. If I'm a betting man, after Jungle Boy and Punk were separated, Punk approached Tony's desk shoved over some monitors in anger and told him that he quit.
Joe convinces him to do the match 'don't let them win, there's all these fans here to see you, let's just go out there and steal the show and have this crazy moment'.
It's either that or CM Punk attempted a Buckshot, fell on his ass and Tony pissed his pants.
I won't believe anything else.

Every single company, IWA-MS, CZW, Chikara, RoH, Impact, OVW, WWE, AEW - Punk had problems in every fed. Sometime with the fed itself, sometimes just with people in the feds, often both. In some he even got into fights with the fans. AEW is just another point in a long line.

Both Keller and Meltzer reporting "lunging at Tony" was grossly underplaying what happened. Expect more to come out soon, but yeah, that was why Tony was scared, Punk just choked Perry, and likely now was coming after him.
No one it seems wants to be the first to go further with reporting now this is all in the legal area.

Has Punk ever attacked anyone bigger than him? Kingston and Steen but not physical, just told them they were trash and did not deserve to be on the shows. Got into it with Tony Atlas in OVW, which is why HHH and everyone were so sour on Punk. The fights were smaller fans, one or two girls, Teddy Hart, etc. His gimmick originally in 2000 was getting fans to throw a punch so he could hit them a few times before security broke it up.

The leadership from TK is extraordinary.
If Punk stepped into the face of Regal and mouth off like that and there was no repercussions.. then TK deserves all the drama he gets.

The most interesting thing about this story is that it didn’t come out when it happened. Why did the dirt sheets sit on this information? I swear I remember reading about this story around the time Regal was released from one of those 'in the know' twitter accounts.
In fairness to the reporters, I could see wrestlers keeping it to themselves until it became convenient to tell the story. Something a long the lines of...
Reporter: This Punk stuff sure is crazy, right? Wrestler: You don't even know the half of it. Hey Nick, remember the time Regal came into the company and was shaking hands with everybody and Punk made everything all awkward? Wrestler2: Oh yeah, didn't he call him a HHH stooge and say he didn't trust him?
BREAKING PLEASE LIKE COMMENT AND SUBSCRIBE FOR ENGAGEMENT! ALSO LISTEN TO OUR 60 MINUTE BREAKDOWN OF THIS INCIDENT.
After everything that's come out these past four years, I can't help but feel I've seen all of this before...
