Golden Parachute for Punker. Dude became everything he rallied against. But I'm guessing the rallying all along was his version of Raven's quote. He didn't wanna make things "better" he just felt things were better if it was all about him. On the indies he was little HHH and Mr. H was right about him. You hate to see it.

At the end of the day, based on everything we've actually seen, Punk is still clearly in the wrong. Yes, Hangman may have started it but Punk escalated it twice and was clearly out of line at the press conference.

With that said, there's still a few things about this whole incident that just highlights how unprofessional AEW is and how one-sided the reporting has been. I don't understand why Megha would agree that 1:00am in the morning would be the appropriate time to hash out the situation. You'd think you'd want to de-escalate the situation or at least wait until Tony is finished with the press conference to discuss what they want to do moving forward - not storm Punk's dressing room with the Bucks, Omega, Daniels, Nakazawa and Cutler.

I think the reporting from the Observer has been ridiculous. It's one thing to take the Elite's side, it's another to come out and blame the entire aftermath on Punk and claim only his side of the story has come out. Who does he think he's kidding? Again, it's just clear that when it comes to certain acts you really can't take Dave's opinion on face value.

The most bizarre thing of all is that this was all over Cabana. Keep in mind, even before Punk arrived, Cabana was a non-entity on the show. A background character in an ancillary stable that's going nowhere.

As fans are we supposed to be upset that Cabana's no longer on the show? A guy who clearly meant little to the product but happens to be friends with the Elite? If you liked him so much, why not make him another manager like Nakazawa and Cutler who otherwise add nothing to the show?

Dave Meltzer knows who butters his bread.

My question is, before each time he paints The Elite as the patron saints of professional wrestling, do they let Uncle Dave decide who he gets the girlfriend experience from or do The Bucks just flip a coin?

Now, if you believe the dirtsheets : CM Punk is done with Wrestling all together and Stephen Amell is vouching for the guy in Hollywood.

He can't be any worse at acting than he was at MMA!

LUL rumors are Punk is looking into continuing to wrestle. His options are basically now Impact who he fucked over, and WWE who he fucked over.

His Mrs runs a wrestling company. Punk is just righteously woke enough to expect the top spot in a women's wrestling organisation.

Pretty much. Hunter will take him if they can make money, but Punk has to play the game. He will not deal with a drama based Punk.

Right now, things seem to be quite harmonious in the WWE locker room. I'd hate to think what a guy like Punk or even Jericho (who is an opinionated prick aswell) would do to that balance.

And Punk isn't walking into a main event position in WWE. He might get a Reigns match, but he's certainly not 'the man' in WWE on a return.

I'd see a program with Rollins in his future, that he'd probably love and have a great time with. And likely wanting to work KO and Sami.

A lot of people hate Punk.  He was a dick to a lot of the WWE guys as they were coming up and he was on top of indy feds.  It was the same Adam Page shit, you listened to Punk gospel or your were a dick in his eyes.

As owner of AEW I assume Punk can do whatever he wants.

I'd imagine TK then apologised profusely when he raised working the CFFC show with Punk.
