Had a fifth idea in the car ride over to Nonna's, but can't remember it now... THANKS ADHD!!! I remembered! ///// E! True Hollywood Story about David Seville's abusive relationship with Alvin & The Chipmunks, including a B plot about the tension between Simon & Theodore 2 / 2 The E! True Hollywood Story delves into the tumultuous relationship between David Seville and his beloved, but mischievous, proteges, Alvin and the Chipmunks. From their early days as a struggling act to their rise to fame, David's strict and often abusive behavior towards the chipmunks caused tension and resentment among the group. As the chipmunks grew in popularity, their rebellious nature and desire for independence often clashed with David's need for control and perfection. This resulted in numerous instances of verbal and physical abuse, including yelling, hitting, and even locking them in their cages for punishment. Despite the abuse, the chipmunks continued to perform and record hit songs, but the tension between Simon and Theodore, the two quieter and more submissive members of the group, grew as they struggled to assert their own voices and opinions. The chipmunks eventually reached a breaking point and decided to leave David, leading to a public feud and legal battle over their careers and assets. Despite their tumultuous past, the chipmunks were able to move on and continue their successful careers without David's controlling influence. The E! True Hollywood Story exposes the dark side of the chipmunks' rise to fame and the impact of David Seville's abusive behavior.

For Baker-man & Kilgore... Owen Hart writes an essay on why his big brother Bret is the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be /////-////-///-//-/ My big brother Bret is the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be. And I'm not just saying that because he's my brother - I truly believe it. First of all, Bret is incredibly talented. He's a skilled wrestler who knows how to put on a great show and entertain the crowd. He's also a fantastic technician who can execute complex moves with ease. His matches are always exciting and he always brings his A-game. But it's not just his in-ring talent that makes Bret the best. He's also a great leader and role model for the rest of the wrestlers. He sets a high standard for himself and for everyone else, and he's always willing to help others improve and reach their potential. He's a true professional who always puts the team first. In addition to his wrestling abilities, Bret is also a brilliant strategist. He's always thinking ahead and coming up with creative ways to outsmart his opponents. He's a master at playing mind games and getting inside his opponents' heads. This makes him incredibly dangerous in the ring and gives him a huge advantage over his opponents. But what really sets Bret apart is his heart. He's a true fighter who never gives up, no matter how tough the situation is. He's always willing to put everything on the line to win, and he's never afraid to take a risk if it means achieving his goals. He's a true champion who always gives his all and never backs down. In conclusion, my big brother Bret is the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be. He's a true legend who will always be remembered for his incredible talent, leadership, and heart. I'm proud to call him my brother and I can't wait to see what he accomplishes next. Another one dedicated to Baker-man & Kilgore... "Hollywood Hogan gives a cynical eulogy for Hulkamania" Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, we are here today to mourn the passing of Hulkamania. But let's be honest, Hulkamania was never really alive to begin with. It was a manufactured gimmick, a cheap marketing ploy created by the powers that be to sell t-shirts and tickets. Hulk Hogan was never a real wrestler, he was just a washed up actor who latched onto this character and rode it to fame and fortune. He never had any real talent, he was just a pretty face with a good gimmick. Hulkamania was never about wrestling, it was about hype and spectacle. It was about making money, not about competing or entertaining. So let's not pretend that Hulkamania was anything more than a passing fad, a flash in the pan that burned bright and then fizzled out. Rest in peace, Hulkamania. You were never really alive to begin with.

Here is a simplified version of ChatGPT, a program that uses a language model to generate responses to user input:
import openai_secret_manager
assert "openai" in openai_secret_manager.get_services() secrets = openai_secret_manager.get_secrets("openai")
print(secrets)
# Import the OpenAI API key import openai
# Set the OpenAI API key openai.api_key = secrets["api_key"]
# Import the GPT-3 model from openai import GPT3
# Set the GPT-3 model to use the small version gpt3 = GPT3(model="text-davinci-002")
# Define a function to generate a response to user input def generate_response(input_text): # Use the GPT-3 model to generate a response response = gpt3.completions( engine="text-davinci-002", prompt=input_text, max_tokens=1024, temperature=0.5, )
# Return the generated response return response.choices[0].text
# Ask the user for input input_text = input("What would you like to chat about? ")
# Generate a response to the user input response = generate_response(input_text)
# Print the response print(response)
This program uses the OpenAI API to access a pre-trained language model called GPT-3. When given some input text, it uses the model to generate a response and then prints it to the screen.
In this example, I've used the small version of GPT-3, which is suitable for generating responses to short inputs. If you want to use a larger version of GPT-3 that can handle longer inputs and generate more complex responses, you can adjust the model parameter in the GPT3() function call to use a different model, such as "text-curie-001".
Note that to use this program, you will need to sign up for an OpenAI API key and add it to your secrets. You can find more information about how to do this on the OpenAI website.

I believe that AI has taken a leap forward. In the next 6 months I'm going to go all in on AI as a personal experiment, I have some funds available in the company R&D budget to do it.
These are some of things I want to research and possibly roll out.
See if there's a self hosted ai I can train on my email inbox, if it can learn my jargon and acronyms I think it could take other ideas to the next level
I recently bought a super cool note taking tablet that I will probably mention in another thread. The whole handwriting thing has never been great, but if I could train an ai on my email I could use the AI to interpret and understand my handwriting.
I like the idea of an AI virtual assistant that can not only transcribe your meetings, but automatically collate and list all your action points.
Writing proposals with AI based on notes and previous offers without needing to create endless templates would be a game changer for me.
Managing my sales funnel by my emails and phone calls.
Generating social media posts based on my emails and photos on my phone.
It's crazy what AI is on the precipice of doing for a small business like mine. I don't have the time to train staff but AI can train itself. Does any of this interest anyone else? You could create automatic ai micro businesses

After seeing this thread I feel like I’ve run into AI online in weird ways, for example I googled X-Files message boards hoping to find some old shit that somehow survived all these years. One page I got was a supposed site where it’s sole purpose was for people to drop in and ask about X-Files fan fiction they lost. So then you have 100 threads with people asking if anybody remembers these oddball X-Files fan fics, like “What about the one where Mulder and Scully got married” and then some strange poster would post a link to an X-Files fan fic about mulder and Scully getting married but there would be like one post in it and it would be written like these AI writing deals y’all are posting, just generic fill in the blank templates. I feel like AI created that whole forum in the instant that I googled it, one of the most bizarre things I’ve come across.
If this tech is really just taking off I can see it ruining a lot of things as it gets stronger/smarter, further dehumanizing us into this weirdo fucking soul less animals we are becoming because of the internet.

Driving in the car today I had the radio on and there was an artist protesting that copywriting laws need to be improved because AI was destroying the value of art. The claim specifically was that the AI sampling multiple art styles and generating art is copyright infringement, which is such a strange concept to me. This is probably the piece that Andy Warholl was most famous for:

Bit of an update:
Interestingly, someone ran some simulations and ChatGPT was able to pass:
- The Bar Exam - MBA operations exam - Medical license exam
I also read about a not for profit that want people to use ear pieces so an AI lawyer can allow them to represent themselves in court.
What I am hoping this provides is a reimagining of the concept of human intelligence and how it is applied. For too long education has been focused on what you remember, not your ability to apply what you know.

Education since 2000 in the US has been focused on application as the end goal at the high school level. Since the 60's that was the end goal of a college education. Blooms Taxonomy has defined education really since it was released it's 50s.
This is a very complex issue as application itself relies on what you remember. You cannot apply facts, if you cannot recall facts. Also in the US at least, what we teach gets constant push back from parents who believe they know the best way to teach and pick what topics can be taught, and how in many cases. We know the most effective way to teach math for instance is to teach kids why mathematical properties work, as kids who do this can easily go from basic math to calculus. Parents believe you should just have them solve equations and get angry if a kid has a conceptual problem to solve that they cannot solve on a calculator. The problem is when we just taught kids to solve problems that can be done on a calculator they kid a brick wall when they get to polynomial math, which requires a conceptual understanding that a basic calculator will not solve. The common core math wars highlights this very well.

Anyone following this subject?
This week saw the release of AutoGPT and it can browse the internet and create its own instructions, it's like a bot. You can also create several and have them interact with each other, which makes programming easier when each bot only has one function.

AutoGPT is very overhyped. People testing it are finding it easily fails for the problem of automation, where it gets stuck in recursive loops trying to redefine part of a problem at the expense of actually solving the problem. Then once it hits a local minimums like this it just gets stuck. A known problem of using nearest neighbor clustering is failing to see the forest from the trees.
A programmer I follow gave it actual problems from a game he is developing and did not even get close to solving any of them, whereas ChatGPT did.

Recently was introduced to an AI that can use facial recognition to allegedly find every picture of an individual on the internet. Sounds like a relationship ruiner.

ChatGPT3 it turns out can play the stock market to profitability already by exploiting irrationality in human based trading. Expected soon either all traders will use it or risk financial ruin, as the more that use AI, the more it will drive the market, pushing the market from an irrational model to a rational one, where humans will be at a massive disadvantage.

Texas A&M having a moment. A professor asked ChatGPT if AI wrote his classes finals and claimed it confirmed every single paper was written by AI and failed the class. A stupid put his dissertation in and it claimed the professors dissertation was also written by AI.
Shit gonna hit the fan next week as him failing the students, many of which would have graduated, but now are not, gets reviewed. OpenAI confirmed that ChatGPT cannot determine whether or not a paper was authored in it.
Gonna get a very, very public firing here, as a mistake like this is tenure breaking.

AI can kiss my ass.
We're supposed to order our PPE/consumable orders electronically. It showed plenty of stock at the Distribution Center in Edmonton, but none at the store in Lloydminster (2.5 hours away) and then told me it would take 30 days for the stock to get there. WTF? So I ended up contacting one of the people on the order desk at the Lloyd location anyway to ensure they would get them sooner than that. She told me she pulled the stock from the Edmonton DC and the items will be ready for my guy to pick up Monday. I guess I should have just made the order with her directly and saved myself the extra work. I also noticed they've had the wrong ship to on the account since they started this program a year ago. (This is not my normal site I am covering for someone).
And when I say that this system often isn't saving us any time, just costing people their jobs, I'm told I'm old and to 'get with the program'.
