It turns out that no, they cannot check that box like a human would. The box is not the point though, it checks your activity before you check the box and how you moved the mouse to do so.

AI cannot perform just in time scaffolding. Until it can teachers will have value. Eventually public school kids will go to AI, the top students will be taught by humans solely.

Also Chat-GPT 4 continues to have math issues.  Which locks off a huge chunk of education.

College teachers are already adapting to use multi-step inference problems for math as they know Chat-GPT stumble badly with them.  Not only will it get the problem wrong, it will give the wrong solutions to solve it entirely.

The classic that led to this was the old two train problem, a math joke at this point that Chat-GPT often just cannot solve right.

We do seem to have a lot of teachers sleeping with their students.

In an era of misinformation, I saw something interesting this morning. A video of the Falkirk Wheel was posted on a Scottish tourism Facebook page, and half the comments were " oh, that's cool... but it's fake. AI " or similar.

It's very real, and granted it looks like something out of science fiction, but to paraphrase one the comments, " this is an example of just how dangerous AI is becoming. While this video is real, the fact so many are questioning what they see is a genuinely frightening insight into our future. "

Most people have no idea what AI even is or how it works, so they say everything is AI.

This literally is AI.
