Based on current rules that one is Roughing the Passer.

That they missed penalty calls on the Jets doesn’t mean they should ignore the next ones.

The problem is no one knows what is and isn't roughing the passer. Mike White took far more viscous shots that aren't called but then you have layups like the Justin Herbert one that is called.

This isn’t different than almost any other penalty in the league. There are always going to be calls missed. That doesn’t mean every ref is supposed to miss when a football players lands with full weight on a qb like the hit in TB/SF.

If you’re going to argue that hits like that shouldn’t be against the rules I’ll agree, but sounds like there’s no motivation to change it from the league.

It was fun that SNF which was the one game I thought might have been a blowout ended up saving my Sunday after watching the Eagles paste the Giants and 49ers roll over the Bucs. It was a great performance by Herbert and the Chargers managed to not let a couple of dicey moments down the stretch. Miami's offence has now had two consecutive bad performances and they face a real crossroads game in (potentially snowy) Buffalo next Saturday.

Except neither of the roughing the passer penalties have a QB getting hit in the head, what is being questioned here is the drop of body weight on a QB with the ball still in the signal caller's hands. No comparison to the end of the Eagles/Commanders game.

The hit on Purdy was helmet to helmet contact.

4-7 inches does not equal six feet.  They'll play it in Buffalo.

The Herbert roughing penalty was disgusting. One of those penalties that continues to lower my opinion of today's QB's.


The Burdy penalty was understandable though. At full speed it does look like their helmets clash.

I kinda want the Cards/Kingsbury to win given the Jets can really benefit off of a Pats loss but also that Kliff Kingsbury's mentor and ex coach at Texas Tech Mike Leach suffered a massive heart attack and is in critical condition. Give Kingsbury something tonight.

My friend Pete feels slightly bad but he's also a 49ers fan so says it serves you right for having Kyler in the first place. 

Rad is back on top by a game and is now locked into the playoffs. but you are still as good as safe with the total points advantage, plus you have Foos next week which is a pretty winnable matchup. Kid and TBN is the primetime matchup where the winner will clinch but the loser might make it as well, depending on if I can beat Blindy. What a Week 15 it's gonna be!

Rad’s not quite locked into the playoffs yet. He loses, you, me, TBN win, it’s a scoring contest to see and he’d be the low man on points.

Losing Dameon Pierce and Kyler hurts, it’s a good week to run into Foos.

Have 3rd most points which is big for tiebreaking purposes but damn, 3rd most scored on. Just not my year, had the terrible November. Big game vs @admin , think if I can win that and if TBN beats Kid and if Sammy loses to Rad, I can make it. Need a lot of help though, not good.

I'm favored in this matchup but the biggest problem is Week 15 is the absolutely garbage week every single year. I haven't won this week in years(I went back 2017 was the last time, you guys are F'ed if your relying on me to spoil). On the contrary, Week 16 I destroy.

Lost a couple of tight games that is the difference, some untimely injuries too in game. But I got my 4 keepers in the lineup this week so at least I might play some spoiler if it isn't meant to be.
