Couldn’t see any sign of a thread prior to this, so simple thread: Post your favourite/funny signs you’ve seen: The first and only time I actually believed fans would riot with this style of signs. I also miss the signs of people just plugging their random angelfire website or things of that nature.

First two that came to mind... And two more that were memorable because of their randomness... Meh. Couldn't find a pic or gif of the " Huey Lewis Rules" sign from Judgment Day 2000 but that one always stuck with me because I hadn't thought of or heard Huey Lewis in a good 10 years.

^ I like how it's asking the son (let's be real) to ponder if indeed your mams is just awful people.
Regarding signs having gone to scant few wrestling shows and most being non televised I didn't usually encounter signs. What's the protocol? I know for a minute they CONFISCATED ones they deemed NOPE. Do they inspect them on arrival or do they do a vanilla one for entry and then DRAW on it in the stands?
As you wait for entry do people try and get their signs over? Sometimes there's an "energy" in the parking lot for especially for so many wrestling fans being in the envrionment. Only place a wrestling shirt isn't seen as sus. Tell me warriors do you ever see the signs before the show? You ever brought one?
Lowkey kinda surprised it's still a thing.
I do love everyone hates sign guy.

1. Regarding signs having gone to scant few wrestling shows and most being non televised I didn't usually encounter signs. What's the protocol? Only place a wrestling shirt isn't seen as sus. Tell me warriors do you ever see the signs before the show? You ever brought one? 1. Iirc they gave your sign a cursory inspection upon entry back during the Attitude Era. 2. Signs went up during entrances. That's your best chance of getting on tv. Holding signs up during matches is a heel move. Fans would definitely hold their signs up in the parking lot/walking to the arena looking for that cheap pop. ECW Arena shows had that crazy parking lot energy. I brought signs to a bunch of WWF shows in the late 90s-early 2000s. My friends and I went overboard with the signs when we went to our first Raw in May 1998. We bought a bunch of poster board a few days earlier and just went to town. A few I remember us bringing to that one- "Val Venis Cumming Soon" "Hey Vince Push The Quebecers" And of course I had the mandatory "Wheel Chair Wrestling" sign any self respecting WWF fanatic felt obligated to bring. Oh brother. Just remembered an embarrassing one. "Tom Brandi Rules" written on a piece of paper I tore out of a notebook at the last minute for a late 98-early 99 MCW show. Meh. I was method fanning. Bush league sign for a bush league fed. And then there is my masterpiece from an October 2000 WWF taping- "Ludvig Borga Hit Austin." If only Vince had seen it...

They inspect the signs and they have to be under a certain dimension, It was a house show but I saw a girl bring several hand drawn signs of her favourite wrestlers and she just had to throw them all out..probably took hours.

God I know I seen so many amazing ones watching through all those old tapes but I can't remember any right now. One that does stick out in my memory wasn't a sign but it was a black guy in an ECW tape from like 1996, I spotted him during a crowd brawl with Dreamer and maybe Brian Lee but he had red jogging pants on, a Columbia blue hat on, and a white air brushed shirt that said "ECW Fuck The Bullshit" like he had it made himself at the mall. He was only on camera for a split second but I fucking loved that guy for sure.

Aside from blocking people's vision, I never understand when promotions take away signs advertising the completion or make them switch T-shirts Like, hey, buddy we know you love MJF but please, take this Seth Rollins tee & wear it instead!

^ Dude that actually reminds of a fan sign from CZW in like 2012 or whenever Cole was getting that PUSH. Mia Yim was his manager sometimes. Fans made some sorta sucky sucky cut out of her complete with yule log. Too bad it's indy bush league otherwise it may have been a contender for greatest fan art ever...

I seen one when watching some 1996 WCW that really stood out, this was later in the year as the NWO was red hot. The camera panned around the ringside crowd and some kid was holding up the New World Order book written by the 700 club guy. Its like this kid grabbed this off his grandma's shelf on the way out the door to the stadium for Nitro. Such an oddball thing to see somebody holding up in the crowd it drives me nuts. Love it.
