if i had a nickel for every time a loyal teammate has betrayed roman reigns by hitting him in the back with a steel chair, forever breaking up their faction i'd have two nickels.
which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.

Wow.
That is storytelling.
So much to break down. Sami turns on Reigns, Jimmy turns on Sami, Jey walks...

the other (small, but understandable for the bigger storyline) inconsistency is that jey was the original true believer, and it seemed like jimmy never bought in but joined up just to look after his brainwashed brother to keep him as safe as he can.
so eventually jey walks out, and jimmy stays with the emotional abuser?

It’s not small at all. Did we just see the reemergence of Main Event Jey Uso? Possibly, but six-man tag wars first.
Which could be the backup plan if WWE can't do Roman/Rock at Mania?

Fairly predictable night, as I guess a lot of Rumbles are. The step spots on KO were really good, I have liked KO-Reigns each of the previous times so wasn’t surprised here and the Zayn breakup was fine. Jey walking away was a good and interesting choice.

Michelle McCool had a great reaction tonight but how often are they gonna keep using her lol. She’s been in three out of six rumbles along with Kelly and Molly. There’s more than enough female legends to fill spots. The people want Eve Torres!!!

Once again the heel was right Sami was nothing before Reigns. And every time in the past Sami got a little something in WWE KO is right there to drag him down. Really hope they split the world titles so Sami can get one instead of a tag title with KO.

It bums me out a little, as this storyline will likely wrap up within the month to make way for the build towards Cody v Reigns at Wrestlemania.
Unless... Sami and KO level The Bloodline at Wrestlemania and screw Reigns.
Christ, The Usos v KO/Sami is going to be an emotional war.

Can't wait to see Roman put Cody DOWN at WM... Rock will make an appearance after Roman smashes Cody and kneel before Roman acknowledging him as head of the table.

It was good to see McAfee back. Of all the commentators, he was the most relatable coming from a lapsed fans perspective.
Men's Royal Rumble - The match hinged on the final two entrants. If both Logan Paul and Cody Rhodes failed, it would have been a really lackluster Rumble that hardly anyone would remember. Then Logan came in, heeled it up and then stole the whole damn match with that spot with Ricochet. Cody was given a poison chalice being handed #30 and getting the superstar entry. It could have easily backfired and there were some questionable moments early but that stand-off with Gunther made the victory felt earned. Good back and forth action with plenty of near-falls and I think more importantly Cody wasn't afraid to strike out and took some big risks.
I thought the rest of the match was sensibly booked. I think if you asked any fan how the match would be structured they would have had Sheamus-Gunther open, Sheamus-Drew teaming up, Judgement Day dominating, Brock getting a run but not dominating the entire match and everyone getting some shine. The only negative was Kofi Kingston's elimination, but that's becoming so played out, I think fans can live with it.
The other thing that stood out to me is that they kept the comedy and surprises to a minimum. It allowed the modern product to shine and for the gimmick to mean something.
Lights Out - They got through it without embarrassing themselves but it didn't leave as big an impact as it should have. It's an odd dynamic, because LA doesn't have any sympathy and as a way to make Bray come across as threatening, he basically just clobbered LA in the back, survived a bump through the announcer's desk and hit a snap Sister Abigail. The Uncle Howdy spot was more visually impressive than it was life-altering.
Alexa/Bianca - They tried to make this competitive but it was hard to get invested because Bianca was always going to win. I thought Belair came off well and the KOD looked sweet. Hopefully they can start making sense of this Alexa/Bray stuff soon.
Women's Royal Rumble - Like the men, kept the surprises to a minimum pushed a lot of the more current acts like Damage Ctrl and Rhea. The only real difference is that we got some NXT appearances and some returns in the mix. I thought Zoey Stark in particular had a really great opening flurry and Zelina got more exposure than I expected. Also couldn't have been happier for my guy System when Nia's entry broke the damn Rumble.
Kevin Owens vs. Roman Reigns - I forgot how much Roman milks every bump in his, there was probably 8 minutes worth of action, then 12 minutes of pacing around the ring. Fair play, the match delivered and the fans were on the hook but that methodical pacing is what stood out to me. Post-match was an all-time segment and what seperated it from other segments was the detail with Jey. I think this has to end with at least Jey if not Jimmy helping Sami.

So I bothered my work for about a month to show this in the sports bar now Foxtel have the 24/7 channel and PLE’s don’t have PPV prices now. So many people told me they were interested and flaked, so I doubt the club will bother showing anymore. Apart from my group was just another 5 or so people that rocked up.
So watching it was 50% people that came to the club to watch the rumble, 50% patrons that don’t follow wrestling at all. The reaction to Sami from people who have been watching this storyline play out for months VS people who had no idea what was happening was hilarious.
But yeah between the low draw, all the weird satanic stuff & the handcuff thing at the end I doubt my work think’s it’s appropriate to show again in future.
Oh well.

I was kinda disappointed, that they didn't really do any of the supernatural/evil stuff during the Alexa/Bianca match, but I get it given the Pitch Black match was prior to this.

I think it goes down like this:
-The Usos are told to take down Sami and KO for good. -Usos are obviously not seeing eye to eye but they still have gold to defend. -Reigns/Sami is put on the back burner for Reigns/Cody. -Night 1, Sami & KO defeat The Usos and Reigns defeats Cody. -Everyone expects Sami and KO to come out and confront Reigns. -IF YA SMELLLLL -Rock vs Reigns Night 2

I'm going to say something that might not be popular.
The Rock would royally fuck all of this storyline up. The Rock cheesing it, burying Roman, telling jokes and shit would not fit the tone of this story/run at all. There are two people that should beat Roman.
Sami or Jey. The storyteller in me thinks it should be Jey because the whole thing started with Roman and Jey. It would be a career making arch for Jey who's already had a Hall of Fame worthy career as a tag team wrestler. Sami having his moment would be good as well, but I think it's Jey in the end.

I would not give Jey Uso a solo title reign unless Jimmy is getting one. They don't need individual titles IMO.
I don't think Rock would want the belts anyway, way too busy of a schedule.
Cody is taking one of the belts, and going to be the top guy of RAW and give Roman a breather. The SD one is up for grabs though. Plausible Zayn catches a off guard Reigns fresh off losing his belt though at the following PPV and Roman goes into deep hibernation in anger due to it.
If it's Rock/Reigns and Cody/Reigns, the former should close Night 1 and the latter should close Night 2. Especially if the Bloodline screw Rock over Night 1, it just means he comes in and layeth the smackdowneth on everybody Night 2 to prevent Cody from losing in similar fashion.

I hate the idea of splitting the titles. It’s the most contrived way to do it ever. How would it even work? Why would Cody only go for one title? I would say to HHH don’t try and please everyone. Make your decision and stick with it.

I forgot that Elimination Chamber is in Montreal. That’s where Sami vs Reigns is going to happen and Sami is going to lose.
Jey will repledge to the Bloodline by screwing Sami. I bet they even call it Montreal Screwjob part 2.
Sets up Sami/KO vs the Usos at Mania.
Roman vs Cody Night 2.
