I forgot that Elimination Chamber is in Montreal. That’s where Sami vs Reigns is going to happen and Sami is going to lose. Jey will repledge to the Bloodline by screwing Sami. I bet they even call it Montreal Screwjob part 2. Sets up Sami/KO vs the Usos at Mania. Roman vs Cody Night 2. I can get behind this. The Bloodline losing all the gold at WrestleMania. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens winning tag team gold, with Cody Rhodes finally winning the big one.

Cody is definitely the odd man out in this storyline and I don't quite see a way to resolve it.
Nor is Rock, if he is indeed coming back for a one-off match. Or Cena.
IMO at this point there really aren't any *good* solutions, just least-bad ones.
- Get the title off Roman, maybe have him drop it at Elimination Chamber to a returning Cena. This way you can run Cody's Rumble mandated World title match and not have to interject him into the Bloodline feud.
- Wrestlemania is two nights so you can devote one of them to the Bloodline: KO vs Solo Jey vs Jimmy Sami vs Roman
and leave the title out of it.
Or Roman will have to pull double duty and defend the belts night 1 and take on either Sami or Jey night 2. (This originally was a Jey storyline, after all)

I'm going to say something that might not be popular. The Rock would royally fuck all of this storyline up. The Rock cheesing it, burying Roman, telling jokes and shit would not fit the tone of this story/run at all. There are two people that should beat Roman. Sami or Jey. The storyteller in me thinks it should be Jey because the whole thing started with Roman and Jey. It would be a career making arch for Jey who's already had a Hall of Fame worthy career as a tag team wrestler. Sami having his moment would be good as well, but I think it's Jey in the end. Agreed. The Rock would take all the heat out of this angle. He'd make it about himself and, by that point, not only would he have killed the DCU, but he would have killed the hottest angle in 20 years. Dwayne needs to stay away. Far away.

Hence killing what was left of the DCU.

MAIN EVENT JEY USO BAY BAY!! I love the work of Jey. His character comes off as the ignorant dumb thug of the two brothers, angry for the sake of being angry... and the reveal Jimmy as the POS of the two in that beat down of Sami.. Jey, then heartbroken in processing everything that happened was fantastic, it absolutely sold the ruthlessness. We've seen beatdowns, and likely cheered them on in the past, but this was the work that set this apart.

I salivate at the idea of Sami fighting Roman for the titles at WrestleMania. But I’ll have a heart attack if it’s Jey Uso fighting Roman. That’s the dream. This is basically how I feel.

I get them going for Cody. They have a real star power problem outside of Roman and Brock on the mens side, and this is a chance to make another guy. Jey and Sami aren’t going to be that guy because with all due respect to those guys, they are glowed up by Roman. Once that’s finished they aren’t Cody Rhodes level guys. I also think the end of the Bloodline story doesn’t really need the titles, and you could argue it would be a weird resolution for Jay or Sami because it’s not about that.
I wanted Sami, but I see lots of positives that it’s Cody.

This storyline doesn’t need The Rock to come back and be…well The Rock.
Roman’s nearing 1000 days. I still think it’s too early to pull the trigger on Cody so just have Reigns go over Cody, and the Uso’s drop to Kevin/Sami and go from there.

The only downside for a title reign this big, at least for me anyways, is Roman losing the title at any premium live event that isn't WrestleMania. Something as big as this needs to happen on the biggest stage, or as far as I'm concerned it'll be a disappointment. Edit: I realize though, that it's just a me thing.

That Logan Paul and Ricochet spot was mindblowing, but I have to ask from a kayfabe perspective, what the hell were they trying to do? I might have an answer. "Hey Logan?""Yes, Ricochet?" "We're in this pretty important match, the winner gets a one way ticket to Wrestlemania main event. Let's work together and eliminate some chumps.""Well, we could, but I'm a celebrity wrestler and so I have insider information. Cody Rhodes is going to come in at #30 and just win, so I don't see the point." "Alright, how about we just jump at each other instead.""What, like a flying clothesline or a dropkick?" "Nah, just leap into each other at a high velocity.""I don't get it?" "Just copy me. It won't hurt, honest. Everyone will love it. Trust me. I did this superman thing with Will Ospreay a few years ago.""Who?" "Uhh...never mind. Nobody watched the match but the gif went viral and everyone loved it. That's called drawing money.""Oh, I'm in let's do it." <loganpaul-ricochet-car-crash.gif> Pretty good Rumble. Didn't see as much Brock as I liked but what they did make sense, even if it was a condensed rehash of Drew and Brock from a couple Rumbles ago. Edge ripping through Judgment Day was awesome, as was Beth Phoenix's return. She looked like a goddess. Cody vs Gunther at the end was a real war, even though the winner was obvious they still made it really exciting. Good for them. I never understood how Cody went from being a laughing stock in AEW to an instant megastar in WWE without really changing much. Was it literally just because he worked a HIAC match with that injury or is there more to it? ---------------------------------------- Skipped through some of the women's match but I liked some of what I saw. I love how they all treated Nia Jax's return as such as big deal, like the female Big Show, and they reacted appropriately by all ganging up on her. Piper Niven - awesome. Asuka looked terrifying, can't any the presence, but to me she doesn't come across as such a killer in the ring anymore. Not for a long time. Not since NXT. Raquel Gonzalez is really good. But the winner Rhea Ripley really stood out. The way she worked those apron spots to constantly eliminate people over and over. Looked like a beast and really earned that victory. ---------------------------------------- Reigns vs Owens was a fun match. Reigns is a great big match worker and Owens matched him move for move. That was some heartwrenching stuff at the end and it couldn't have played out any better or any more intriguing. Especially Jey Uso's reactiong. Real gripping stuff. Let's just hope they can keep the storyline fluid with Cody Rhodes coming in. Maybe the whole Sami vs Reigns thing is wrapped up at Elimination Chamber, and we get Reigns vs Cody / SamiKo vs Usos at Mania. Lots of stuff to resolve before then. Exciting!
Fairly predictable night, as I guess a lot of Rumbles are. The step spots on KO were really good, I have liked KO-Reigns each of the previous times so wasn’t surprised here and the Zayn breakup was fine. Jey walking away was a good and interesting choice. mikec commenting on what could be the peak of the hottest wrestling angle in 20 years like he's watching the grass grow.

I thought the angle was terrific throughout though, but this moment was not nearly as good as the honorary uce shirt, the Survivor Series war games conclusion. Also for all the talk earlier in the thread of how Cody/Rock will only hurt the storyline, the cure for that would’ve been have Sami cost Roman the title to Owens. KO/Cody would be a fun feud I’m sure.

Here's the thing with Logan Paul, at no point did you look at him and think, he's not a wrestler.
He looked a million bucks with more size, and throwing those bodyshots he looked like a pro. Then that spot with Ricochet says talent.
He's got potentially one of the most consistent records ever in terms of performance so far. There's guys with 10 years experience still getting taken for walks in the PC, and LP just decided one day, he'll be a WWE Superstar, so he became a WWE Superstar.

An emotional promo, from Sami and KO that puts over Cody potentially beating Reigns would see them describe Cody winning as a win for " all of them " and imply Cody earnt their respect and was part of another brotherhood (the indies) that doesn't need to of blood.

Yeah it was a great moment but I wouldn't say best. Roman giving Sami his own shirt. Jey finally accepting Sami in the War Games match. And even Sami stepping up to help Jey to defend the tag team and hitting the 1D with him. Are just a few I would rank higher.

We knew these guys were heels and knew Roman couldn't be trusted, yet popped at every big moment. The fact we applauded Sami becoming the Honoury Uce says it all. We were getting worked as much as Sami was.

Only watched both Rumble matches because they are my favorite events. Mens Rumble was fun , a bunch of great spots and entertaining moments. Not a surprise winner but the right one.
Womens Rumble was fun as well. Liked a lot of the showcases but Ripley winning it sucked the life out of all the fun I had to that point. She is trash. Any build and subsequent match involving her will be trash.

I love Rhea and think it will make a good WM match seeing her go for a title. Would have been fine seeing any of those final three win it though.
For who was in the men's rumble, Cody is a great choice. He is SUPER over and could allow for a cool spot of Sami costing Roman the title, setting up Roman and Sami on night 2.
