Tom Bradys retiring … again. What are the Vegas odds on him staying retired? I give it about a month.

Tom Bradys retiring … again. FOX is going to cling onto Brady's legs to make sure he isn't leaving. Especially since they lost Sean Payton.

I think he’s retired for good this time.
I gave my emotional speech about him last year, so I won’t go into detail BUT it was a privilege to watch the GOAT play. I don’t think we ever see a QB win that many Super Bowls in the next 50 years as a starter.

I'm quite surprised by this honestly, I thought the chances were high that he would continue for at least one more season with another team considering how this season panned out, and already losing his marriage.
I wonder if it came down to the way the announcement was leaked last year and he didn't like the way it didn't come out on his terms.

Tom's usually a master class when it comes to getting the last laugh. Most were celebrating his faux exit a year ago only for him to pull a last minute gotchya. Now it just feels like he's going out with a whimper, not even full on suffering or painfully coming up short... Kinda takes the fun out of it all to be honest. That and he did the job for Dallas of all teams, the douche.

It's really incredible the career he had. To think back to where I was and how old I was when he first started playing in 2001, I remember being 16 years old watching the snow game with Gruden's Raiders the Tuck Rule. Now I'm 37 and he's just now retired. It's a shame we didn't get a Patriots vs Raiders Brady/Belichick vs Gruden rematch when Gruden had came back. That should have been flexed in there somewhere.

Simon Charles, a beat writer for the New England Patriots, is reporting that the NFL is planning on retiring Tom Brady's #12 league-wide, starting next season.

Dumb dumb idea, but I dont trust the source he also said it be the first in pro sports, I would think anyone covering sports would know Jackie Robinson was retired in all of baseball

NHL retired Gretzky's 99 league wide They should have done the same with Jordan in the NBA. While not leaguewide, the Miami Heat retired Jordans number, who he never played for.

He's the best quarterback of all time I'll give Brady that, after winning the Super Bowl with Tampa that pretty much clinched it. Even I roll my eyes at the old timers in the facebook groups that try to say Brady didn't have anything on Otto Graham or whatever, it's like just stop.
But there's way too much argument AGAINST him being the #1 all around player in NFL history, that's not a clear cut deal like Jordan or Gretzky and he wasn't involved in any civil rights movements so lets pump the brakes on the league wide jersey number retirement, seriously.

If they don't retire Brady's #12, then maybe Jim Brown's #32 should be in consideration.

Brady should get his number retired in NE and if the Bucs want to do it, they can do so too.
But that's where it all stops. He stood by and did nothing during Spygate despite knowing full well of what was going on and had a major part in deflategate.
