Nintendo has announced that tomorrow (2pm PT/5pm ET) they will be airing a Nintendo Direct. I'm not really sure what to expect going into this, although I assume anything Pokemon-related will be announced at the end of the month, during their usual Pokemon Presents showcase. Ideally, I'd love to see announcements, for a new Donkey Kong or Mario game (if they plan on releasing a Mario game alongside the movie, this would be the time to do so), although as always I'm keeping expectations low.

Really hope we get a release date and something for the AdvancedWars Remake, it got caught at the absolute worst time with the Ukraine/Russia war and it didn't deserve to get shelved. Wayforward(Shantae/River City Girls franchises) are fantastic, hope they get their game released.
I think Zelda gets something good, we know Tears of the Kingdom has to get a showcase with it coming 3 months from now but maybe a Windwaker HD Remaster brought over from the Wii U happens?
Yeah Mario Movie probably takes a little bit of time. I think there's a rumor of Hollow Knight: Silksong getting a release date, wondering when it comes out. If it comes out in the months of May(Redfall/Legend of Zelda) and June(Street Fighter VI/Diablo IV/Final Fantasy XVI) that's dangerous.
I assume more info gets tossed of that Bayonetta Origins game too since it's a Nintendo exclusive coming in the 1st half of this year. Maybe more Pikmin 4 info though that might be a 2nd half game?

- The oldest kid is super hyped for Pikmin 4, I'm looking forward to playing it as well. - Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games added to Nintendo Switch Online and I'm all for it. I'm looking forward to playing Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga, Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins and The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cup. That's not even counting the other games being added (Kirby and the Amazing Mirror, The Legend of Zelda Seasons/Ages, Pokemon TCG). - Metroid Prime Remastered dropping today (digitally), as well as physically releasing February 22nd, bloody hell February is gonna kill my wallet. I still wish they re-released the Prime trilogy, didn't even need to be remastered as I would have still bought it. - A new Professor Layton game? Yes, please. - Wave four of Mario Kart 8 coming in spring, plus Birdo as a playable character (which the Wife is excited about). - There was also a bunch of other stuff we knew about, however, those are what caught my interest though.

Thoughts: 1) Kiss my ass Nintendo with that $70 dollar charge on Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This game better be up to snuff graphically to even warrant. 2) AdvancedWars is ALIVE! ALIVE! April woohoo! 3) Some visual novel goodness, that PARANORMASIGHT game by Square Enix looks pretty good, looks like a nice Visual Novel Horror game. 4) Shadow drop of Metroid Prime Remaster is pretty sick, and a physical release 2 weeks after for $40 is really good. 5) Ghost Trick getting brought back to the Switch is a great move, def. on my radar. One of those pseudo visual novels ALOT of people love, I think Emperor brought it up previously? Prof. Layton getting a new game is great, LEVEL 5 is still back in the game which is good news. TRON has a visual novel that I knew a little bit about too, this could be good. 6) Pikmin 4 looks pretty good too, gets the summer all to itself. 7) GameBoy Advanced and regular Game Boy getting in the Switch Online mode is great. But where's Pokemon Gen 1 and or 2? 8) Love that Sea of Stars gets a demo drop, might download that and play it over the weekend. Everything about that is screaming my name.

Meanwhile Australia has been spared the price hike, so for once Nintendo are looking after Aussie gamers. It's still more expensive than the typical AAA Switch release, but so was BOTW so it doesn't come as a huge surprise. If the conversion rate was applied, the game would be around $100 and knowing Nintendo they'd round up to $110. The Xenoblade 3 DLC teaser paid some major fan service. It looks like all three major protags from the Chronicles games have all grown up and are teaming up in the original setting from Xenoblade 1. Similarly it's nice to have access to Inkopolis again on the Switch. I'm already feeling nostalgia for 2015 and it wasn't that long ago. Slowly but surely my Nintendo GameCube collection is making it's way onto Switch. Mario Sunshine, Crystal Chronicles, Metroid Prime Trilogy (well 1 & 2), Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil remake, Ikaruga, Tales of Symphonia and now Baten Kaitos. I've actually been thinking about Kaitos lately, especially when we were talking about Path of Radiance and how I chose BK over it. I still think Nintendo are sitting on a goldmine in a Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door release - it's not far behind a Mother 3 localisation or a Super Smash Bros. Melee re-release as something fans are dying for.
Happy to see the GB and GBA shadow-dropped like that and it's a good excuse to go through those libraries again. SMB3 is actually huge because I never bought the Wii U version so being able to play through all the E-reader levels should be sweet. Super Circuit is another game I'm looking forward to as my original copy was misplaced decades ago and it's one of the few MK games I've never returned to. It's strange that they only announced the Pokemon TCG game (another game I'm looking forward to messing around with, love the OST for it) instead of Gen I & II, especially with Stadium on the horizon. Maybe the Pokemon Company is saving those games for their Pokemon Day stream? It would make sense if Stadium drops and they shadow drop Red, Blue & Yellow.

We've got Kirby, Metroid and Zelda games all releasing this year, the only thing missing is a Mario game.
