This Saturday LIVE in Montreal the WWE will host its final PLE before Wrestlemania XXXIX. In the headline slot, it's Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn, a match that fans would have loved to have seen at Wrestlemania will take place in Sami's native Canada and I'm sure he'll have the entire country behind him. Will the WWE pull the trigger? 99% no and the expectation going into the show is that Jey Uso will cross the border and pledge his loyalty to Roman only for KO to make the save and send the fans home happy. It's a finish we can see happening a mile away, will the WWE do something to make it less predictable?
The US title continues to be featured strongly under the new regime with its own EC. This match has the potential to be a show-stealer and the WWE could go a number of different ways. Not only are there ramifications for this match, but also for the Brock-Bobby match as a Bobby return match at Mania could be on the cards as well. I've personally gone with Theory going one better than last year and stealing a victory denying Ford the pleasure but there's a few storylines that could be born out of this.
The same could be said of the RAW Women's Championship and I'm struggling to see who a worthy opponent would be for Bianca. I've gone with Asuka with the belief that she's a more credible challenger and she did play a role in the finish of the Rumble but there's a case for the majority of the participants involved. The only participant I can't see factoring in are Natalya who just seems to be a ring general for the match.
Strong under-card as well, both matches would have been strong enough to make the Wrestlemania card. I expect them to be enjoyable matches in their own way, but I'm curious to see how they top these matches at Mania. I presume Rey is going to get involved to set up the match with Dom at Mania. However I have no idea where Edge or Brock go from here, maybe they find each other?
Be there on Saturday or if you live on the otherside of the world, on a Sunday on the WWE Channel.

Who should win : Sami Zayn, who will win : Roman Reigns. Seth Rollins. Asuka. Brock Lesnar ( why is this happening at EC, and not Wrestlemania? ) Finn & Rhea.

This maybe an unpopular opinion but having Sami Zayn end the Tribal Chief reign weeks before the biggest event of the year would be mental.

This maybe an unpopular opinion but having Sami Zayn end the Tribal Chief reign weeks before the biggest event of the year would be mental. Proponents for Sami would sooner see him win at Mania but since that appears to be off the cards they'll take what they can get.
The Sami route does have some merit, but I just see so much more upside in Cody. There's a bigger story at play, the idea of Cody conquering the indies, making himself a man to take on the biggest challenge in WWE history is the type of stories they excel at. There's Cody documentaries, Dusty documentaries, maybe even Dustin gets out of his AEW deal in time to embrace Cody and we get a lovely package set to Creed.
C'mon you know Cody would be balling when they play a moving tribute video of him and Dusty to Arms Wide Open. Hell, I would too!
If it doesn't work, Roman can always get his win back. I don't think his character would lose much if any of his aura to lose to the one guy on an undefeated streak who is fulfilling a lifelong dream.

Sami would have been an excellent Mania choice, I was all for it. But to mess with Cody now, especially after that promo, would be crazy. And if Sami won this match, what would that mean for the product? Part of the problem with these classic smark-friendly stories - and we’ve seen a few of them over the years - of the midcard guy getting his moment in the sun, is that people are drawn into the story but once the story is over, you’re left with a workrate guy as champion. Happened to Benoit, Bryan, Kofi, Adam Page. Would happen with Sami, with all due respect to him. That can’t happen going into WrestleMania, it would be crazy.
I know it’s predictable, but it’s clear what they should do. Have Jey cost Sami and Sami and Kevin beat the Usos for the titles. Cody beats Roman to make the next big star. It’s such an open goal, and I don’t think HHH is going to miss.

This maybe an unpopular opinion but having Sami Zayn end the Tribal Chief reign weeks before the biggest event of the year would be mental. Agreed. Plus I like the story they’ve been building between Cody and The Bloodline. Last weeks segment with Paul Heyman and Cody sold me on the feud as a WM main event caliber big fight feel. I also think Cody’s been built enough to be seen as a credible guy to dethrone Roman. As much as I love the Sami storyline, I’m okay with him teaming with KO and main eventing night 1 against the Uso’s. I feel like that’s the logical progression for the story being told. This whole angle started out being about Sami and the Uso’s so it makes sense for Sami’s story to end there. Perhaps he can play a role in Cody defeating Roman the next night.

I'm sensing a Zayn pummelling from Reigns, no interference from Jey or Solo, just straight up pain from Roman.

He’ll get a visual pinfall. Probably after Kevin interferes, but they I think they’ll give him that one way or another.

Either Cody or Sami, gentlemen were are living through one of the best builds to Wrestlemania in a very long time.
I guess what is truly great is, it's not the obvious VKM direction. Sure, Cody's story begun at last year's Wrestlemania, and Sami shows what is capable with great storytelling. But I would think if Vince were in charge, Roman Reigns would be fighting Brock Lesnar again or Vince would begging John Cena or The Rock to main event.

Smart move would be Cody taking out Roman to let Sami get the win, so he faces Sami for the title, rather than risk facing Roman. I expect screwjobs all around.

Cody is a man of honour and would not stoop to such levels. He won't get involved. He is confident he can defeat either Roman or Sami. This will be settled between the Bloodline, Sami Zayn, and maybe Kevin Owens.

Cody wants that title though. This is his best chance for it. And his best chance is through Sami not Roman.

I believe Roman pulls double duties at Wrestlemania. Perhaps he defeats Cody on night 1... just. Then fuck it, Hunter returns and gives a " best for business " speech and books Reigns v Sami for night 2.
I can't see any other matches being considered to main event either night, a speculated Brock v GUNTHER match will serve as a nice marquee match, but it isn't a main event ( will it be awesome, yes ) Flair v Ripley hasn't been given any sort of real hype yet - in contrast to Cody v Reigns, there's been no significant work to sell it beyond a few promos and women's Elimination Chamber doesn't have the star power to main event Wrestlemania.. best case scenario is, it's Belair v Asuka.
Or maybe, and it maybe a first, that a tag team match main events... The Quebecers vs The Usos for the Undisputed Tag Team Championships. You could pop the crowd with Reigns and Cody getting involved. Maybe a third trusted babyface is introduced on Smackdown in the meantime to combat Solo... no, no, better idea - Pat is the third man on commentary and throws the headset down and tackles Solo. Or babyface Rollins out of nowhere. Ok, fantasy booking aside... the heat would be volcanic.

There will be one MAIN EVENT in Cody vs Reigns, and one main event in Flair vs Ripley most likely. Easy to tell which will be the final match of WM weekend.
Team Canada vs Bloodline should headline night 1 though.

Maybe I don't know I saw someone make a theory that Zayn wins, but Reigns foot is under the rope, Adam Pearce comes out, says result is invalid, restarts match, and well Reigns retains.

I imagine a ref bump is in the mix for the Reigns v Sami match. Sami gets the 3 count from the Montreal crowd, but there ain't a ref to make it officially.

I hope they've upped security for Elimination Chamber, this might be the most hostile crowd since Cena at ONS.
I've thrown a handful of predictions/hopes and dreams out.. so, my last one : Jimmy attacks Sami, Sami technically wins via DQ.

Christ almighty, the biggest match of the year isn't even the main event of Wrestlemania.
Despite Reigns leaving with the belts being the most likely scenario, one thing is for sure. The Bloodline will be broken, I can bank on that. And that will give Cody an even playing field at Wrestlemania.

If only Theory still had his briefcase, then Zayn winning could have been okay, then Reigns could have destroyed Zayn, leading to a cash in
