,Has there been a wrestler whose  average performance has plummeted so quickly not because of an injury  or getting old  but almost entirely just to not really caring anymore?



Charlotte went from someone who who while inconsistent could still be counted on for a good performance most nights, to someone  who if it's not a big event in a. match with someone she respects, then her performance is going to be average at best, and at worst she gets uncooperative and the match becomes a train wreck.



    

Is she the female Orton? Seems like they had a similar rise and fall, but steady booking because they were seen as the blueprint.

I feel like Randy puts effort in more regular than Charlotte does however. 

I also wonder how much of it is the fact that she has achieved almost everything there is to achieve in WWE. After winning all the titles there's not much to do for women in WWE there aren't really any feuds outside the title. 

Dolph Ziggler probably to answer your question. He has won a world title and has done practically all that can be done so he's coasting it for the money and I have zero issues with it. Every now and then as you've seen with his NXT championship run, he can bring it still so isn't an age or ability thing, it's just why go balls to the wall now when the booking doesn't warrant it?

Nemeth had chances to to NJPW or elsewhere but he is a part time standup comic and probably isn't feeling the need to go overseas to do whatever.

Honestly, even if Charlotte were coasting by, I don't think I could blame her, as she has done it all.

Between the main roster and NXT, she's had sixteen title reigns, she's won the Royal Rumble... all that's left for her to do is win Money in the Bank and maybe a Queen of the Ring tournament as well.

I love PW is just like fuck it man, quiet quit and leech off these billionaires.

She's probably learnt to work a little smarter for television, 10 years of working these " match of the year " matches is likely going to add up on the body.

I'd put Sasha Banks ahead of Charlotte in this category. Unmotivated, she's awful. When she actually gives a shit, she's great. But 75% of the last few years, she hasn't exactly been motivated.

Although the character is a bit more likable now, my overall take remains the same. Charlotte Flair just might be the worst wrestler ever & it has nothing to do with her in-ring ability. What I'm focusing on is how she projects herself on camera. Flair has had 12 reigns as champion and not 1 feels different from the others. Charlotte rarely loses. Even worse, she never feels vulnerable or made to look like a fool. How many times has Ric been made to look like a jackass or cry? Charlotte is unrelatable & unable to garner sympathy.

It's hard to be interested in her TBH. She's like a robot.

I enjoyed it when Nia smacked her around though!

I still kinda wanna see that Tessa Blanchard/Charlotte Flair feud/showdown just because. Get the Michael Jackson popcorn gif ready at speed dial. That and I don't have to manage the egos between the two.

Seems to be a common problem with talent. Outside of WWE a lot of them are likeable and charismatic...

I love her now. Not just because she's working to her theme, but the fact she considers "Charlotte" different from herself. She is redeemed. Hope Youtube recommends me that time she joked with Becky about her jugs.
