So according to diva-dirt (by way of Fightful) Trinity Fatu (AKA Naomi) has trademarked the name, Trinity Starr. She has also recently responded to a fan on social media, saying she was no longer contracted to the WWE, which I guess lines up with trademarking the new name. With all that said, let's say it's true and she isn't coming back to the WWE, what do you think is next for her? Does she go to Japan and reunite with Mercedes Mone? Do we find out before year's end, that Trinity Starr is All Elite?

Personally, I'm not really a fan of the name, I honestly think that Trinity Fatu sounds a hell of a lot better, but that's just me. As far as what's next, I could see Tony Khan making a play for her, however, I think Impact Wrestling would be better, at least if it's about getting TV time and winning titles, but again AEW would be better if it's about the money.

Think it would be a terrible decision to leave WWE but if she were to do this, probably AEW and go the way of Athena Palmer or Ruby Riot/Soho and get a nice buzz in the beginning only to slide into the midcard down the road.

Probably the best she can hope for. I'd hope she was smart with her money and doesn't need it, but that's probably the best... some showcasing and a consistent check.

I just feel like with how everything went down, everyone would root on Naomi if she stood in WWE and you can actually get a heck of a babyface championship run or at the very least challenge out of it. She would get a strong pop I think by a lot of the casual audience if the return is done well enough. Maybe she will fizzle too in WWE but I think there's more to gain for her.

In AEW, she would just be another chess piece for Tony Khan to use. She will get thrown to Jade Cargill and maybe she will get the win over her before things come crashing down.

If actually getting TV time and a title reign or two in, is important to her, I feel Impact Wrestling would be the better option. Whereas with AEW, she would most likely (OK most def) get paid more, but at the same time, would probably not get as much TV time or title reigns.

Besides if AEW can't utilize Sonny Kiss and make her anything on their television, what shot does Naomi have? Both are athletic charismatic talents that can do telegraphed moves and cater to a specific audience.

Impact Wrestling would work but the buzz would be drowned so bad, I feel like Naomi has 1 shot to cash in on what happened in WWE and it'd be a waste to have it happen in Impact in 2023.

NJPW/Stardom is a much more interesting destination than AEW, but given that Mercedes is only contracted for two more shows it makes that seem less likely.

Depends what is important to her. It she wants some time to shine and be treated better then Impact.

Unless you want money, to stay in the USA, and WWE isn't an option. I don't know why any woman would trust AEW with career.

This is probably the end of her story unless she returns to WWE.

I don't think AEW will book her well, and I doubt she has the ability to be a real superstar for anyone else. She's super athletic and looks like she's having fun in the ring, but she ain't exactly charismatic in the sense she's going to talk people into the building.

And TNA is so far off the map now, she'd only be signing with them for a pay check.

Yeah, she’s athletic but so are hundreds of wrestlers. She has to be one of the worst ever on the mic and there’s just nothing interesting about her.

I can totally understand people being excited about Mercedes going places, but Trinity really doesn’t seem to appeal to anyone except diva stans 😅

She has a bigger tush tbh which is part of Naomi's attraction to viewers and she has less issues backstage with people compared to Mercedes. 

She also has ties to the Fatu's.

She's not terrible, she's just not that good. She's like Natalya in that she was top notch when she came in, but the Women's Division has grown so much since her debut that she has been left behind in terms of talent. She was one of the first women of colour that was good that is still on the roster, I wonder if that is why she was kept around for so long.
