Oh, I completely agree.

This should be a banger of an opening match though.

Unless something really really exiting happens in the main event, I see no reason that shouldnt have been the last match, seth rollins first WHC.

Roman is my guy but he could never have enough. The Usos tried to help him. Shoving them is OK but as soon as Reigns said there ain't no day 1 no more, Jimmy lost it. I don't blame him for snapping at all. Jimmy told Roman a long time ago, he wants the entire family to eat. Roman only cares about feeding himself.

I loved it when Jey told Jimmy we have to be better than this. I took it as Jey saying yeah, Roman is an ass but we have to help him because if he fails, all of us are in trouble. We can't sink down to meet at his level, we must rise above it.

AJ Styles vs Seth Rollins was fine, a good workrate match we've seen a million times before. The result surprises nobody. AJ Styles is just another body for Rollins to beat. Moxley should win back the AEW Championship so people can post Shield memes.

Becky vs Trish wasn't very good, nor did I expect it to be. Zoey Stark was a pretty interesting surprise, as was Trish winning. I wondered if it would be a one and done where Becky wins and we all move on, but nope. In for the long haul. That's cool. I'm kinda hoping Trish gets a stable of women who worship her.

Rhea vs Natalya exceeded expectations. What a delightful match that was.

Only saw the finish of Asuka vs Belair but that's genius. A rare occasion where you see something genuinely new in pro-wrestling.

I found the whole Cody-wrestling-with-a-broken-arm-cringe to be a transparent way to rehash his "my whole body is bruised" HIAC against Rollins, as well as rehashing lame storylines Lesnar did 10+ years ago with Triple H and HBK. There's no need for anyone to have a handicap when facing Brock. However, the way they worked the match turned me around completely. Love how the cast was used, they didn't go OTT with the finishers (although it was a close call), and the match ended in the right way.

Of course the main event was pure magic. Roman Reigns is a god tier worker and he puts his character into everything. Just look at how he reacted when he speared the referee. He blames the referee "What's wrong with him?". Then when the Usos do exactly the same type of inadvertent attack to Solo, who does he blame? Not Solo of course. Not Sami either. The Usos. That segment was pure magic and despite me heaping praise on Roman, Jimmy gets the acting award on this night. That release, that cathartic scream after the second superkick was right on the money. Brilliant.

I noticed that as well, I remember Sami having some issue with Saudi Arabia before. Times change, people change, I guess.

Maybe the difference is I'm not midcarding over there, but for main event money...
