What are your irrational flat-out no without good enough reasons...
This might be one that exposes me as Non-Neurotypical but I have a few:


1. POCKETS ON T-SHIRTS - Or polo's but I don't really like polo's, I am a T-Shirt guy... I have uncontrollable discomfort and aversion to wearing any sort of T-Shirt with a pocket on it, I will not do it... Buy me one and I will reject it.
2. Driving around Parking Lots - I will not circle around a parking lot waiting for a space to open up, I go to where I know there are spaces, park there and walk no matter how far away.
3. Souvenirs - I DESPISE souvenirs, both the purchasing and the receiving, but especially the receiving, why in the bluest of blue hells would I want a keep sake from somewhere I have NEVER been? For the same reason when we go on holidays my wife is a good person and always buys gifts for family etc... But I don't get wasting your holiday to buy pointless crap for other people.... When I am Emperor of the world all souvenirs will be banned except for postcards.

Wow... This is an interesting take... And by interesting I mean completely wrong on every level that has ever been discovered.
I have a smart watch, I use it to receive notifications from my phone and to track calories.

I can see a smart-watch, but for a dumb watch I go analogue as well. I use my grandfather's pocket watch though.

Souvenirs I do not do and do not like either.  I get pictures of places I go, and do not need some trinket as a memento.  Feels like wasting cash.

I will not eat anything with mayo on it.  Not sure where I learned it but have wicked taste aversion to the shit and will get physically sick if I eat it that I do not think is a physical reaction.

A simple life of farming and mending fences in the driving rain at 2am is not my idea of fun no matter how simple it may be.

I've alternated between digital and analogue watches throughout my life. I see the appeal of both. Analogue watches do have a nice charm about them. Right now I'm in a smart watch phase. I'm not using it so much to monitor my body, but the step count is nice. My favourite part is the ability to control my phone's music player with it.

My irrational nos...

I’m sure I have tons of them. I also won’t do pocket tees or button up short sleeve shirts and I prefer an analog watch but wear a smart one because I was given it as an expensive gift and I get my text notifications on it. Now when I wear an analog watch I get the phantom buzzes on my wrist same as the ones in an empty pocket.

I’d guess my most irrational no’s are food related. I won’t touch mushrooms, beans, peas, and a few others. Peas are probably the worst in terms of silliness, I’ll avoid the flavorless ones in fried rice just out of principle.

I can’t think of any other universal nos, but I know that I need to work on my brain saying no first to everything. Anytime I get a “want to try this?” type request my first answer is generally no.

BUT!!!

A tie with a short sleeve shirt is 100% hard no... Unless you are a bus driver.

Similarly I might be showing my age, but anklet socks with long pants flashing bare ankles... Hard nah on that one.

Double denim is another fashion thing I irrationally hate. In fact, any denim. The colour is horrible, it feels horrible, it looks horrible. I've never worn jeans in my life. I have come to accept other people wearing jeans because it's so common, but denim jackets are gross.

I irrationally avoid watching war films and sports films. The sports-centred films I have seen (Jerry Maguire, Million Dollar Baby) are very good, yet I still avoid them.

Screw modern life, I would go for that farm and fence if I was healthy enough to do the work.  Uncle had a small farm growing up and I loved it there.  Loved the small farm plot he has for veggies.  Except the year he did corn, that shit is a bloody nightmare.  Corn leaves be razor sharp.  Planned to do a large garden in Georgia but never worked out as people got lazy clearing all the kudzo and I could not remove the basketball sized crowns alone.

Universally loved? That universe is wrong and I want no part of it.

I won't wear a watch of any kind.

Also jewelry. I wear none: no earrings, bracelets, necklaces, rings, etc. When I was married I wore a small band of thin gold but that was it. I have worn sentimental pieces during special occasions (my Graduation, wedding day), but when it was all stolen, full stop. Not sure why, like a watch it annoys me to have something around my wrist, neck, etc.

And we all know about my irrational hatred of Leo DiCaprio. Absolutely unsure why I just hated his stupid face from the first time I saw him. Started years ago when he was a kid on Growing Pains. It's only grown from there. 

There's nothing wrong with hating someone based on their dumb stoopid face piece.

I also irrationally hate Prequels as far as films are concerned, I see no point getting invested in a story where I know the pivotal pieces of the outcome, there is no tension when you know that and without tension there is no point.

I dislike pockets on t-shirts but not as far as irrational anger.

Fake pockets, on the other hand...I have a nice jacket which is perfect apart from the "holes" in the fabric which lead to nothing. Someone made a conscious decision to sew that into the material!

As a kid I hated pocket tees as it always felt itchy and uncomfortable. My work shirt has the pocket a d I find it convenient when mowing to put misc trash in it as I encounter it. Otherwise I could do without.

I hate the pocket tee as well. I only tend to wear a plain tshirt for sleep or undershirts and the pocket is useless for both.

Women's shirts usually don't have pockets on the chest for obvious reasons. My issue is when the fitted shirt 'darts' make me look like my breasts are all pointy and weird.

You'll be hard pressed to find a women who doesn't like a good pocket in their dress pants so long as the lay properly. And pockets in a dress is just a must. I think 90% of my dresses have pockets and when someone compliments me the first thing I say is 'thanks, it has pockets' and show them. Every. Time. It's the law.
