I figured we could get a thread going for whenever we see them IRL. I know Baker man regularly sees them in Baltimore, seemingly always a Seth Rollins shirt.

Caught my Mom sporting this one yesterday. I doubt my Mom has watched much since Austin retired so gonna assume it's one of those just a shirts, but I get it. It's got Macho and Warrior on it.

I didn't here, but I think it's important to ACKNOWLEDGE them in public. Let the masses know, but only if it's worthwhile. Like if if you catch some scrub sporting some lame sauce ZSJ nonsense (does he even have merch bro?) I think you should just no sell him for being a try hard.

Also it just occurred to me that the retirement match happened the next year, but 6 was when Warrior faced Hogan. Probably just a generic graphic tee from Walmart, but we'll allow it.

I have seen the purple Macho Man t-shirt out and about somewhat regularly (for a wrestling shirt anyway). At some point it became cool to like Macho Man even if you weren’t a wrestling fan.

Around Wrestlemania weekend I was at a craft fair (wife wanted to go) and another husband that had been dragged there was wearing a Fight Owens Fight shirt. I gave him the head nod of acknowledgment. He responded in kind.

I have also seen CM Punk shirts here and there. Can’t remember exactly when but I know I have seen them. Always the white shirt with the Chicago flag on the front and “Best In The World” on the back.

I see lots of rasslin' shirts here. Usually, Bullet Club, Bret Hart or Austin 3:16.

If I ever see someone out in 'the wild' supporting a rasslin' shirt, I always comment 'I like your shirt'.

@ness with the cool mom. Only once did I spot a Seth Rollins shirt in the wild! Those generic Walmart shirts drive the pedantic asshole in me crazy. My brother had a similar shirt featuring Andre & Savage and every time I saw him wear it a vein in my forehead would start throbbing as I thought to myself "they never wrestled at Wrestlemania!"

Acknowledging is the good and proper thing to do even though I haven't done it in years. Hey, I already admitted to being an asshole. Best acknowledgement was of this slightly older guy's Four Horsemen shirt at an Orioles game in 1996. We ended up talking to him about wrestling far more than we paid attention to the game. That dude ruled. But then there's the time I ran into a Stone Cold lookalike in chef pants wearing an Austin 3:16 shirt at the mall in the late 90s-early 2000s. I said something like "what's up Stone Cold?" and if looks could kill, I'd be dead. Dude was a surly customer who took the Stone Cold worship a little too far. No need to live the gimmick, man.

In the HoW Random Thread I've chronicled every wrestling shirt spotted in the wild since 2021 because of course I did. Most were spotted at local grocery stores. Here they are...

October 2021- "a young guy, probably still in high school, wearing a Hulkamania shirt."
November 2021- "mid-late 30s guy with a lot of tattoos wearing an NWO SYXX shirt"
December 2021- "a Kevin Owens lookalike wearing a Lucha Underground hoodie"
March 2022- "a heavyset gentleman roughly in his 40s who walked with cane wearing a black 'Hot Rod' Roddy Piper shirt"
June 2022- "a nondescript looking guy around my own age wearing an orange Macho Man shirt"
August 2022- "young boy around 8 years old wearing a WWE Draft shirt"
August 2022- "guy in his 20s or 30s wearing a Seth Rollins shirt"

Been a pretty long drought, though I did have a false alarm over the weekend. Thought I saw one from a distance. Black? Check. Jacked guy on the front? Check. But upon closer inspection the image was of a jacked up Donald Trump. While Trump does have wrestling ties, and is famously the only President to have earned a spot in the prestigious WWE Hall of Fame, it still doesn't count.

Wrestling bumper stickers also deserve a mention. In January 2023 I saw a car with Sting, Raven, Hogan, Bull Nakano, and More bumper stickers. Even shared the pic for 24 hours before deleting because their license plate was in the photo. And a few years ago there was a car in the next block with "WRESTLING ISN'T FAKE" and a stick figure hitting an RKO bumper stickers. Shared that pic too, but it must have been on the old PW because a search came up empty. Makes sense it was that long ago because it's been a while since I saw it. They must have moved away (or got a new car).

I saw a guy wearing a Nexus shirt at Changi airport the other day. David Otunga surprisingly big in Singapore apparently.

Saw a guy wearing a Suplex City shirt at the grocery store not that long ago

The classic Austin 3:16 shirts I see regularly. But on some of the worst kinds of people.

And for a while there it was fashionable for kids, particularly girls to wear oversized Rock t-shirts.. I think it was a Kylie Jenner trend.

I see a lot of Moaris, Samoans, Polynesian bros proudly in Attitude/Ruthless era gear. The Uces love the wrestling.

I've seen, just one Bullet Club tee in the wild outside of a wrestling event... he got the nod. He gave it back. I was contemplating whether I throw up the too-sweet or not, but remembered how ridiculous it would be seeing two strangers finger kissing in public.

I've made a point recently that there's a lot more people than we think watching wrestling, it just isn't talked about in public as much as it was.

I have that same Mania shirt in the opening post, picked it up at Target a few years ago. Great shirt to have.

I see quite a few wrestling shirts in public at work. There’s one guy that’s a regular in our store and I’ve seen him in shirts for Roman Reigns, The Bloodline, Jimmy Uso, Stone Cold, and Macho Man. I saw a Finn Balor “Balor Club” shirt a few weeks ago on another guy at work and a few days ago I saw a guy wearing an “Out Work Everyone” Christian Cage t-shirt.

I’ve got compliments on some of mine when I wear them out in public. Being in San Diego I get a lot of compliments on my Rey Mysterio shirts. Others I’ve gotten compliments on are my John Cena shirts, Stone Cold, CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, New Day, and Roman Reigns.

Saw a guy wearing this Randy Savage beaut over the weekend. Took the advice of this thread and gave them a nod of approval.

Nath might have a point here because I saw two people wearing wrestling shirts at an event yesterday. Gotta be the first time since the early 2000s I saw two wrestling shirts in the wild outside of an actual wrestling show. One was a Cena shirt I couldn't find with a quick search. It was black with Cena as a video game character on the front and "U Can't C Me" written on the back. At least that's how I think it went. Could be wrong. Saw it for a split second. I saw someone wearing an Austin 3:16 shirt, while out for dinner with the Wife. Also, recently did a Pokemon Go raid, with someone repping a Bullet Club shirt.

Saw a guy wearing an AEW hoodie yesterday while I was driving near my 80s neighborhood.

I was out grocery shopping with the Wife over the weekend, ended up seeing a guy wearing an nWo Wolfpac shirt. Also, I recently saw someone wearing a Canadian flag/Austin 3:16 combination t-shirt as well.

Basically it was this shirt, except the skull on the back had a Canadian flag design going through it (honestly, it might have been a custom shirt).

Saw a guy wearing an AEW jacket in a grocery store parking lot the other day

Long dry spell ended when I saw a guy wearing a black "Wrestlemania Texas" shirt the other day.

In a weird coincidence, last weekend I saw a truck with Texas license plates that had a wrestling mask decal on the back. This was some 10 miles away from the shirt sighting. Couldn't have been the same person. Just a big week for Texas and wrestling here in...Maryland.

We're on a roll again. Saw a little boy wearing a generic black WWE shirt last week. Then I hit the jackpot over the weekend with two wrestling shirts in two days- first a 30 something guy with a "Main Event" Jey Uso shirt in black and then a guy I'm guessing was in his 40s wearing a black Cody Rhodes shirt with his logo on it and something to do with "KINGDOM" (I forget the exact details).

Saw a handicapped old man wearing a brahma bull Rock shirt over the weekend.

I saw someone wearing an Adam Bomb t-shirt yesterday (I mean, Adam Bomb of all people?). Honestly, not a wrestling shirt I expected to see in 2024.

Not for nothing it's those shirts I wanna see. More Walmart bootlegs thanks.
