Pro Wrestling: Action Fusion
Like hipster restaurants, the future of professional wrestling is fusion. The history of pro wrestling is ACTION. Thus, ProWresAF is born. This is a place where different things come together to make new things. THAT is what ProWresAF is all about.
Music versus Mask
The Honky Tonk Man versus Delirious
How This Match Came To Be: Delirious was being interviewed about his upcoming debut in ProWresAF. He was going on loudly in a language most people could not comprehend. His interview was interrupted by The Honky Tonk Man who yelled at him for being too loud while Honky was rehearsing for the premiere of his hit song. The time came for Honky Tonk Man’s new song to be revealed, but Delirious showed up wanting to sing back up (we think?). After a series of attempts to perform the song with Delirious showing up to join in every time, it was decided that this could only be settled in the ring. The contract was set. If Honky Tonk Man won, Delirious would be unmasked so HTM could prove he was just another simpleton. If Delirious won, he would become part of the Honky Tonk Man’s band as a permanent back-up singer.
International Tag Team Championship Match
Strike Force (Ricky Martel and Tito Santana) © versus Naomichi Marufuji and Go Shiozaki
How This Match Came To Be: After their vast success in the tag team division, Strike Force had won the respect of everyone in the locker room and the crowd. The team announced they were on a mission. They wanted to defend against tag teams from every continent. After defeating Australian Tag Teams, South American Tag Teams, European Tag Teams, African Tag Teams, an alleged Antarctic Tag Team, and many North American Tag teams. ProWresAF turned to Pro Wrestling NOAH to find opponents for them on the Asian front. Go Shiozaki and Naomichi Marufuji are two of the top wrestlers in the promotion, and they are no strangers to each other. Over the years, they have been both partners and opponents. Now, they encounter the task many have failed at, dethroning Strike Force.
Hardcore Tag Team Match
The Briscoes (Jay and Mark) versus The Sheepherders (Butch Miller and Luke Williams)
How This Match Came To Be: The Bushwackers arrived to ProWresAF representing the great continent of Australia. They failed to capture the International Tag Team Champion. After their loss, The Briscoes criticize Butch and Luke. They talk about how they sold out and went soft. They talk about how The Sheepherders were hardcore and would’ve done what it took to win. The Briscoes say they’ve never sold out. During their next match, Butch and Luke arrive with chairs to send the Briscoes a message. A giant pull apart brawl ensues. Butch and Luke say they changed their style to make money and elongate their careers, but The Sheepherders weren’t dead. The Briscoes attacked them during their interview. The brawl continued until a match was announced between the two teams contested under hardcore rules.
Ring of Honor World Championship Match
Nigel McGuinness © versus Tully Blanchard
How This Match Came to Be: For a few weeks, videos played introducing Nigel McGuinness, the Ring of Honor World Champion. These videos explained the rules and the history of Ring of Honor. A battle royal is held to determine who will challenge for the ROH World Championship. Tully Blanchard wins and announces when he wins the ROH title, he’s going to throw it in the trash. He says that wrestling is not about sportsmanship and honor. It’s about money. He says he’s not going to shake Nigel McGuinness’ hand, and he’s going to do whatever he can to take that title so he can throw it in the trash. McGuinness says that while he respects the traditions of Ring of Honor, this match wasn’t going to take place in Ring of Honor, so he would have no problem doing whatever it took to protect his reign as champion.
The Great Debate
El Generico vs The Ultimate Warrior
How This Match Came To Be: Two of the greatest professional wrestlers on the microphone have the opportunity to have the ultimate promo battle. The Ultimate Warrior, known for the emotional roller coasters he takes his fans on, will get to put his oratory skills to the test against a man who speaks in two languages, El Generico. If these two wizards with words are unable to reach a satisfactory conclusion in their oratory battle, management has signed off on a match happening immediately. Will the speed and tenacity of Generico be enough to overcome the power of the warrior? Can the Ultimate Warrior defeat El Generico? It could be the match of the century whether it’s on the microphone or in the ring!
Pride of Minnesota
Mr. Perfect versus Jerry Lynn
How This Match Came To Be: Darrell McGuffrey from Minnesota Wrestling Monthly Newsletter announced that for the first time in the three and a half year history of their newsletter, podcast, and whimsical zine, there was a tie for Minnesota Wrestling Monthly Newsletter Minnesota Native Wrestler of the Year. They were proud to present the award (Minnesota Wrestling Monthly Newsletter’s Minnesota Wrestling Monthly Newsletter Minnesota Native Wrestler of the Year) to both Jerry Lynn and Mr. Perfect. Jerry Lynn was giving his acceptance speech when Mr. Perfect, a former three time winner of the award (Minnesota Wrestling Monthly Newsletter’s Minnesota Wrestling Monthly Newsletter Minnesota Native Wrestler of the Year), interrupted him to say a tie was absolutely insulting. He was disgusted by the fact that Jerry Lynn was mentioned in the same breath as him. He said the newsletter lost all credibility, and the only way they could save their journalistic integrity was by re-issuing the award (Minnesota Wrestling Monthly Newsletter’s Minnesota Wrestling Monthly Newsletter Minnesota Native Wrestler of the Year) to him and him alone. ProWresAF addressed the situation by announcing a match between the two where the winner would be the sole recipient of the prestigious (?) award (Minnesota Wrestling Monthly Newsletter’s Minnesota Wrestling Monthly Newsletter Minnesota Native Wrestler of the Year). Wrestling pundits from across the Twitterverse call this a kinda lame build for what should be a great match.
Fight for Respect
Kevin Steen versus ‘The American Dream’ Dusty Rhodes
How This Match Came to Be: When Kevin Steen arrived in ProWresAF, he said one of the reasons he was there was to celebrate one of his icons, Dusty Rhodes. However, he said the main reason he came there was to learn from Dusty. Kevin said he had two kids at home, and he wanted to learn how to be a corporate sellout. He wanted to learn how to trade in his spine for some polka dots. He wanted Dusty to teach him some dance moves. He wanted to put all of the violence and fighting spirit that got him where he is today behind him. He wanted Dusty to teach him how to go from behind a violent bull to a cash cow. This did not sit well with The American Dream. He said just because he was proud of who he had become doesn’t mean he forgot who he was. He said he saw something in Kevin Steen, but the biggest thing he saw was disrespect. Dusty said he was a father as well, and he wanted to teach his kids how to be employable. He wanted to teach them how to provide by doing whatever it took to put the food on the table. Steen asked Dusty how he could put the food on the table when he was never there. Steen said he challenged Dusty because while he admired the money Dusty made, he knew Dusty didn’t have that violent bull in him anymore. Steen knew that in a real fight for respect, he would end Dusty. He would take Dusty’s spot. He would take Dusty’s polka dots. He would take Dusty’s career, and he didn’t feel bad about it because Dusty Rhodes made more money than he would ever need. Steen vowed to do anything to provide for him children. Dusty said Kevin better be careful because he was waking up that violent bull. He would show Steen that the horns were still just as sharp. He went for the baddest bull in the pen, and with that could come great reward, but it also came with great risk. The match was signed, and there could only be one winner.
Steel Cage Match
“The Immortal” Hulk Hogan versus Samoa Joe
How This Match Came To Be: ”The Immortal” Hulk Hogan has vanquished many enemies. The series of giants he has toppled is long and vast. He has had many enemies before who have built families, armies, and stables to take The Immortal one down a peg. What makes Samoa Joe different? Just ask him. He’ll tell you. Samoa Joe says the biggest difference between him and the adversaries Hogan has overcome in the past is that Samoa Joe is not a puppet. For years, conniving managers and corporations have sent mindless monsters to end Hulkamania. None of them were significant enough to do it themselves. None of them were man enough to get the job done on their own. None of them were smart enough to destroy Hogan themselves. Hulk says he has no problem getting in the ring with Samoa Joe, and he has the power of all of the little Hulkamaniacs behind him which means he can do anything. Hogan, however, is there to announce that he’s about to head off to Hollywood to film another movie, and when he comes back he will send Samoa Joe away for all of the Hulkamaniacs. The next week, Joe interrupts a match with a lead pipe drawing blood from both competitors before laying them out. Samoa Joe takes the microphone and says he wants inside Hulk Hogan’s head, and if he won’t let him destroy his body, he will destroy his mind. Samoa Joe is suspended for two weeks. The first week, Samoa Joe decides the best thing to do is relax on the beach. Hulk Hogan’s Beach Shop to be exact. Joe asks where Hogan is, and when he doesn’t find Hulk, he does find a dear friend of the Hulkster who cannot be named since he wasn’t drafted. He was, however, choked out by Samoa Joe. On the second week, Samoa Joe has been ordered to go home, so he goes back to California. However, instead of going to his own home, he decides to head up to Hollywood where Hulk Hogan’s movie is being filmed. After assaulting a production assistant, Joe steals a golf cart and crashes the rehearsal. He knocks down parts of the set all while screaming for Hogan. Studio police surround Joe, and he is arrested. ProWresAF management bail Joe out, and he’s put on house arrest. Hulk Hogan asks for time to address what Samoa Joe did. He said his producers and studio are asking for Samoa Joe to do hard time and be locked up, but the Hulkster can think of no better punishment than for Samoa Joe to be locked inside a twenty foot high steel cage with the twenty four inch pythons of Hulk Hogan. Samoa Joe appears live from home and says this will be the end of Hulkamania. Hogan argues with him, so Joe makes a proposal. If Joe beats Hogan, all of the fines and charges against him are dropped. Hogan says if by some miracle Samoa Joe beats him, he will drop all of the charges, but what will more likely be dropped is his leg on Samoa joe before he pins him 1…2…3, Brother.

Devon - I know its hard to believe but I have proof (hands Bubba a paper).
Bubba - Proof? What is this, a program? I don't know who made this a 8 year old kid or a 48 year old who does not know how to take advantage of all the tool available on the internet. Intergalactic Planetary Wrestling. Let me guess they abducted the Beatie Boys too. Melmac? Really, the planet Melmac. Blah blah blah he we go The Rock-n-Roll Express defend the IPW tag titles against The Dudley Boyz. How old are they exactly? They have to be in there 80's.

Devon - That's exactly what they have. How do I know all this, Adrian Street. He taught me how to clear my mind and withstand the effect of the flash.
Bubba - Adrian Street? "I'm In Love Me", Adrian Street? Time traveling Aliens? Devon we need to get you help. I am going to have to get Vince involved and get you into the wellness program. It's clear you have lost your damn mind. And AND WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING?

Now Malenko is back and looking to get revenge.
Brody returns for a first time match up with JBL in what many consider to be the hoss fight of the year.
Brody - GUESS WHO? GUESS WHO? Bruiser Brody here and I'm back in IPW. I've been away for a couple of months taking care of business in other places, but I'm back. And a little birdy told me that while I was a away a man calling himself "The Wrestling God" arrived in IPW. I've heard a lot about John Bradshaw Layfield. He's beaten a lot of good wrestlers, but he's never faced a man like me. He's never beaten a man like me. AND HE AINT GONNA! HUSS, HUSS, HUSS.
In a their last meeting things got out of hand quick and the referee called for a no contest almost as soon as it started, and the brawl continued all the way back to the locker room. This time its a Texas Tornado Match as The Road Warrior take on Mankind and Abyss.
Sid Vicious looks to continue his reign of terror in IPW against HHH, Hunter Hearst Helmsley. After several week of brutalizing opponents after his matches he was confronted by HHH but when Hunter's back was turned Sid delivered a low blow fallowed by 3 power bomb. Sending HHH out on a stretcher setting up this grudge match.
Sid - When I got to IPW I said I was going to run the gauntlet. I put out a open challenge to anyone that wanted to dance with the devil. I called out out anyone that thinks they are man enough to step in to the ring with me. HHH you stuck your nose in my business and everyone saw you stretchered out. You call yourself "King of Kings". There is only one king in pro wrestling, only one ruler, he rules the world and you're looking at him.
In a #1 contenders match for the IPW Championship Bray Wyatt takes on The Great Muta.
We heard about him for weeks and now he's here. The Exotic Adrian Street debuts against the Fallen Angel Christopher Daniels. Daniels is no push over. Street is one tough S.O.B. that has found success every where he's been and he thinks IPW will be no different.

He's a 4 time IPW Cruiser Weight Champion, 2 time IPW Tag Team Champion and is looking to regain more gold. Street is one tough S.O.B. that has found success every where he's been and he thinks IPW will be no different.
