Okada may not have a tough guy look but he sure knows how to look like a beast squashing people. This is the best version of Okada, let's see what he brings to the table against some real competition.

PAC's back. Why was he gone in the first place? One thing I dislike about AEW is how prominent wrestlers randomly disappear for months at a time. Case in point: Miro.

PAC broke his nose then IIRC had a botched surgery to fix things that lead to it rebreaking almost immediately upon his return.  He then needed a much more intense surgery to finally fix shit.

Should get details on everything that went wrong when he starts to do press again.

Brian Danielson vs Katsuyori Shibata was great. I love how competitive it was up to the very end. I expected it to be competitive, but with a more decisive win for Danielson. Not that a rollup isn't decisive, but it's not a Busaiku Knee or a LeBell submission.

None.  It is an open challenge.  There is a secondary thing going on in Cardona spoofing on WWE legends though in GCW or elsewhere stealing their entrances and attire.  Do not think he did Edge, but he may have as it is an iconic one.

He didn’t spoof Edge at all best I can tell.

But I’m baffled by this. As a diehard WWE fan. I would have been interested in seeing it on pay-per-view. The history between them is there. Matt is hot right now. This feels like a waste to drop it in the Cope-Ope and wash their hands and walk away.

If it’s a contract thing, I’d understand better. But if this was just a booking decision. I don’t like it.

Matt not likely to be sticking around. He has a contract with GCW to make them the priority. And he is very, very weird with working for anyone who will tell him where he can and cannot work. So a one off is ok for him, but he will not put himself in a position where he needs Tony to approve his bookings.

So he is a good guy to do a TV appearance, but Tony not gonna give him the spot of someone on contract.  Frankly, I am shocked Tony used him at all.

Thanks for the explanation. If that is the case, it makes more sense. If this is just a one off: good decision.

Wish Matt would sign with a big fed. But after WWE, I get it. He wants total control now of his gimmick and bookings, and after getting a lame gimmick then benched by WWE for months, can't fault him.
