Just found the amazing Gaea Girls doc on youtube.  About the Gaea Japan Joshi dogo.  Some sick shit in this one.  Meiko Satomura slams a student with a shoot shotgun dropkick leaving her a bloody mess forcing her to get stitches.  Later on throws the stiffest forearm to the chest I ever seen to the same student the documentary is following.

I don't think the hard hits are the most brutal. I think it's things like being told you are 'useless', 'ungrateful', being called an 'idiot'. I get it though, it's a tough business and likely even tougher in Japan and even more so as a woman wrestler. If they can't break you then no one else can either.

Not sure that shit would fly today, but Japan and Japanese wrestling is completely different than WWE. It's still very much based on cultural values, respect, and beating the ever loving crap out of your opponent. :lol:

It's interesting to see a young Meiko. I don't watch a lot of Joshi or Japanese wrestling, but the minute I saw her on the Mae Young classic I was hooked. Everything was so crisp. She had a counter for everything.
