- ROH Statement - 

Current ROH Owner Tony Khan has today released a statement, that has sent shockwaves throughout both All Elite Wrestling & Ring of Honor. 

"Hello I am Tony Khan, ad as you all know I sit here today, before you all as Co-Owner & CEO of AEW as well as being the current owner of Ring of Honor. For some time now, it has been speculated the future of not only AEW Collision on Saturday evenings, but the future of ROH TV programming. Today I am releasing this statement to end all the speculation, to stop some, if not ALL of the internet chatter you have all been reading and hearing lately. A new multi-million multi-year deal has been agreed to show AEW programming, with Dynamite continuing to air on Wednesday evenings, with a specific requests made by those executives at the network".


"That requests being that AEW Collision is no-more, and that we bring Ring of Honor into that Saturday evening TV slot. It was a request that I was glad to accept, and that from November 11th ROH will AIR live on TNT. Now I know you may be wondering what will happen with talent and such, and I can confirm that in the next few days a statement will be released concerning all talent, and what ROH will look like. The first show will act as a 'soft-reboot' of ROH, which I have to confirm, it means current ROH titleholders will be vacated of their championships".

I don't know how I feel about this. I think the only belt you'd reasonably "need" to vacate are the tag titles, 'cause Eddie, Joe, Shibata, and especially Athena are still rocking.

Following on from yesterday's announcement that ROH will be taking over Collision's Saturday evening night slot, we have more news concerning that move, and what the Ring of Honor roster could/may look like going forward. First off we have words from the now-former ROH World Champion Eddie Kingston & now-former ROH Television Champiom Samoa Joe on what Tony Khan done.

Eddie Kingston - "Yeah, I was shocked to find out that the championship, the title that I had won, the title that I had fought so hard to win, and the title Tony Khan promised was mine when I signed that new deal, was to be vacated.....am I a part of ROH going forward? Who knows at this point, but all I can say for now is that MJF better watch his back, as that target on that back of his, has many wanting to hit it".

Samoa Joe - "I thought I was done with all this bullshit at this point in my life, turns out I wasn't, but all I know is that I'm not staying, AEW/ROH whatever Tony wants me to do, the answer is a clear no. I'm done...."

Meanwhile, current AEW World Champion MJF had little to say on the matter of him and Adam Cole being removed as ROH Tag Team champions.

MJF - "Don't care, I'm still AEW World Champion, and that is all that matters to me".

We have word that ROH will be announcing their FULL roster of talent going forward, with a few HUGE names being rumoured to make the move from AEW Dynamite to ROH's yet-to-be-named Saturday Night show. One name that has been getting feelers backstage about the move to the ROH roster is 'Hangman' Adam Page.

Tony Khan releases video on X/Twitter

Tony Khan has today confirmed via a video posted on X/Twitter that the ROH roster has been finalised, with all the relevant talent & names informed of the decision to place them on the "new" ROH brand.

TK - "Following intense discussions with talent & names regarding the subsequent cancellation of 'AEW Collision' and with it being replaced with ROH, I can now confirm that the roster is set in stone, and what a stacked list of talent that will be on display in ROH. In due course the roster will be revealed, and I can say you'll be surprised at the depth of talent showcased on ROH, I can also confirm the debut episode of the new and improved ROH will feature a 4-match tournament, 3 of those matches will be qualifying triple-threat matches, the winners of those matches will face off in the 4th triple-threat match to crown your new ROH World Champion."

Tony Khan also went on to discuss the future of Samoa Joe & Eddie Kingston, both former ROH champions before being made to vacate their championships.

TK - "Two people that won't feature for ROH going forward are Eddie Kingston & ROH, Samoa Joe has requested his release from his deal, which has been accepted, meanwhile Eddie Kingston is still in discussions surrounding his deal, and has favoured AEW as his preferred home, which I have accepted. This may upset many fans of ROH, and of both the men mentioned, however I believe the names being put on ROH will help ease the pain.

Speculation still persists on 'Hangman' Adam Page making the move to ROH.

Before this week's episode of 'Talk is Jericho' began, Jericho opened with a speech on what he has accomplished in professional wrestling so far, and discussed a little on rumours that he is winding down his career, however it doesn't look like that is the case with what was said in the quote below.

Chris Jericho -  "While we're all on the topic of wrestling, what do we all think of the latest news happening in AEW/ROH? I've been in this business a hell of a long time, a HELL of a long time now, there has always been changes in wrestling, promotions removing or adding new shows to showcase their talents. WCW done it, WWE/F done it, and now AEW done it with Collision. It's being absorbed and revamped, shall we say, to be the 'new & improved' ROH. Personally, I see this as a positive move from Tony Khan, and believe me we have seen eye-to-eye on certain issues, but also we've had beef on other issues, Tony knows he can trust me, and I can trust him. Anyway, I think it was a good move to get rid of collision, after it was tainted as a show... no thanks to a certain...Phil Brooks/CM Punk whatever you want to call him. Mr Khan asked me what he thought ROH should look like, and what was the right way to go about it, and I can confirm right now on TALK IS JERICHO that Chris Jericho, yes that's right...THE GOAT CHRIS JERICHO is heading to Ring of Honor".

'Initial' ROH Roster revealed

Today Ring of Honor can exclusively reveal that the names of the initial roster that will star on ROH television, including an exciting signing from rival promotion Impact Wrestling, that will be sure to get everyone talking. These names have been specifically selected to be showcased on ROH, after intense discussions with ROH owner Tony Khan, the names were happy to be on ROH. Josh Alexander also joins the ROH roster as active performer, this was after he left IMPACT WRESTLING following a breakown in communication. 


Tony Khan has also decided that as good as he is, he cannot split his time between both AEW & ROH, and has decided to go down the route of hiring an ROH GM to oversee the product for its launch, and going forward, while Khan remains totally commited, he feels that one or the other may suffer, if 100% commited isn't given to them, hence the decision to hire a GM. The ROH GM will be revealed in a X/Twitter video later on this evening.

ROH sold?
Speculation was that story was going to be a new GM

Speculation was that it were going to be a GM announced to be running ROH, however it appears that with everthig i place, ROH has been sold to a new owner. Having recently just left WWE following the merger with UFC under Endevour, it appears the wrestling itch is still getting to this person. ROH can confirm today that it has sold to Stephanie McMahon. This is HUGE news sure to break the wrestling world for some time, and one that'll sure stick a knife into Vince McMahon and her husband Paul Levesque. 

"I am extremely proud to be sitting here today as the new OWNER of ROH, as you all know my grandfather and father has a vast knowledge, expertise, and drawing power in the wrestling world. Wherever you were in thr world, whatever you did, whenever you heard wrestling you instantly thought of WWE or WWF, and thought McMahon. Others tried to stand up to WWF/E in the form of WCW, TNA/IMpact Wrestling & lately AEW. After the recent reshuffling? shall we call it at WWE, I had no other choice to but to step away and leave WWE, with my vast earnings from the sale, and other ventures I have in my portfolio. I noticed I was still missing something from my day-to-day life, and for my own misdeeds that appeared to be wrestling".



"I have been attending wrestling shows lately, and one that stuck out to me was ROH. I can feel the passion of the crowd, and the performers thriving off of that. So, I decided to meet with Tony Khan at a recent soccer match in England, yeah weird Soccer but anyway, I said it was my intention to step back into the wrestling world, but only as an owner. It was then when he offered me the chance to buy ROH, but only on MY conditions. I wanted a rosster and TV deal in place before I purchased the company, he put up his end of the deal, so I had to make my side of the deal was the agreed feed, which for now stays undisclosed".


"I look forward to attending ROH Collison, yeah it seems cheap to use that name, but it has recognition already, but now with the ROH name brand on it, and my funding, I am sure we can make ROH bigger than AEW, and make it bigger than WWE".
