Hello? Hello, hello? Uh, I wanted to record a message for you to help you get settled in on your first thread. Um, I actually worked in that forum before you. I'm finishing up my last week now, as a matter of fact. So, I know it can be a bit overwhelming, but I'm here to tell you there's nothing to worry about. Uh, you'll do fine. So, let's just focus on getting you through your first post, okay?

So prior to the film I’d only played the first game and been horrible at it, now after viewing the film and my FYP on TikTok being flooded with FNAF lore I’ve started playing the second game and plan to at least play up to 4.

This is definitely a series that’s made me feel old as there’s countless comments of people talking about growing up with this series and being upset the film “messed with the lore” as kids getting their first taste of Hollywood adapting something they love. The film is fine, I’d hate to see their reaction if it was a modern day Mortal Kombat Annihilation.

I've never played the games, so looking forward to seeing the movie, with the Wife though.

I know little about this franchise but I'm shocked there are 4 games. I thought it was a one and done gimmicky horror game.

I had the same realisation when MatPat started covering FNAF ad nauseum on his channel. It was at that point I realised I was too old for his content. Meanwhile I remember recommending one video to Emperor, and he barely made it through a minute before the 'wacky' editing threw him off.

But hey I'm curious to see somebody take one for the team. Also how's the merch situation? I think Sandy mentioned there was some demand months before the movie came out, has it grown since?

Hijacking the thread for a moment, but what were some other adaptations that tilted you as a kid?

There's classic examples like Super Mario Bros, Street Fighter and even as we got older Dragon Ball Evolution.

However the most disappointing would have to be Final Fantasy Spirits Within. Did you ever see this Emperor ? I haven't seen it since watching in the theatres but besides from having state of the art CGI, the movie was so boring and devoid of any charm. I remember they made some references to the series, otherwise it was just a generic sci-fi. Has anyone gone back to it recently?

I did watch Final Fantasy Spirits Within and found it completely unmemorable and bland.

Found it on VHS fairly recently, maybe 1-2 years ago watched it and don't remember much about it. Always thought it was cool but not super crazy about it. I remember my dad renting it when it first came out on tape and being pissed that it was an animated movie he couldn't tell by the box and he thought it was the worst movie ever(I kinda liked it). May have to pop it in again and take a closer look.
