Recently I came across this awesome video where an out-of-shape non-wrestler learns how to take a body slam in 24 hours. It's a really fun video, and I think it actually does a service to the industry instead of a disservice. It shows how gruelling the sport is and that the pain is real.

I counter that bullshit response by saying movies are scripted too but you don't call them fake.

The video is perfectly fine because it's easy to take such a simple maneuver for granted. The guy was also cast perfectly and it wasn't like he was being pushed into a prominent position.

I still think there is a limit and when you book a Sean Ross Sapp vs. Shazza McKenzie match, you're poisoning the well. Matches like that become a reflection of the industry and does more harm than good because you can easily write the whole thing off as a dog and pony show as opposed to actual up and coming talents working on their craft to the point where you'll pay to see them perform.

I think there's been a real push for inclusivity in Pro Wrestling and I don't buy it. If you don't have one athletic muscle in your body and you suck at the craft you're a disgrace to the industry.

Public just won't let the fraud go. It's a weird sticking point, but I guess once they know you're a con artist it's hard to shake.
