New doc dropped about the current of life former beloved internet personality Boogie2988.  It is like professionally done but dropped to youtube.

The entitlement you see from him is just next level.  Like he cannot seem to understand at all he is not wealthy anymore, and is not making any money, and refuses to really adjust spending accordingly.    He went from making half a million a year to now 26k a year. 

And many feel it was his entitlement that was his downfall in the end.  The naked greed pushes people away.  In streaming culture you can get away with being depressed, but you cannot get away with being greedy in the sponsorless phase.  

I suggest people check it out if interested in net culture stuff, it is a good doc.  Moreso given it looks like a fan doc.  Not seeing a team attached to Clum.

A lot of these OG Youtubers that are still clinging to the fame because the money wasn't rolling in yet is really kinda crazy. Watching guys like AVGN still going through the motions when they wanna be anywhere else... but it's all they know. The angry gamer genre still existing 10 years after it peaked is hilarious too.

Can't feel bad for boogers because he had a winning lottery ticket and flushed it all away several times.

Almost all of the OG youtube creators swifted into something else 5 to 10 years ago. Marbles, Michelle Phan, Meekakitty, Overly Attached Girlfriend, Rachel Bloom, Northernlion, MathasGames, etc are the ones I followed that swifted out.

Some went to twitter, but anyone who could went to Hollywood.

Like after ManvsGame burned down his channel with entitlement issues, he is working for min wage at a bowling alley. He was the face of twitch at one point and did media tours and shit to promote twitch and streaming. HBO and groups reached out to him until the very end to promote their shit. He is such a disgusting piece of shit. I know he had a very trouble childhood but some of the stuff he does is just inexcusable.

I saw a TikTok of his and someone basically said “hey I love watching your vids on TikTok” and he just video replied telling them to watch his videos on YouTube instead because he gets paid there.

I watched a similar video to this (one guy that does like multiple hour videos on YouTubers) on Boogie and nothing makes me roll my eyes more than people compare themselves to acclaimed comedians when they say something deemed inappropriate.

He was a much different person when he was popular. These days he is just a miserable fuck who begs for cash. And he only has himself to blame. Cannot be an asshole to fans for long before they bail. And him threatening that other youtuber cost him his sponsorships. Well that and his love of the n-word and overt racism.

Hard to feel sorry for a lolcow who just keeps doing all the wrong things apologizes for them, and continues to repeat the same mistakes. I followed Boogie in his early career and sympathized him as he seemed to be a nice person in his blogs but behind the scenes he just kept saying the wrong things, getting himself canceled on a monthly basis. Then many years ago, he put out a video bragging about being filthy rich only for months to go buy and put out a video saying that he his poor now. What idiot puts it all on crypto?

He was a nice person until right about the time he got the bypass. Then he instantly became like this entitled asshole.

It is also amazing how many of these early stars went bankrupt because they did not think they needed to pay taxes for some reason.

This was Boogie. He did funny skits a fat angry video game nerd. Eventually he started to make half a million a year, got a gastric bypass and developed a massive sense of entitlement. Eventually he would pull a gun on another youtuber and fire a shot into the air, which is aggravated assault where he lives and a felony. He lost his sponsors after that, causing his income to crash, and he simply will not be able to recover. He lives on donations now, but he is such a miserable prick fewers and fewer people support him each day.

I can't understand how anyone supports him. Hate watch sure, but to have actual fans is insane considering what a POS he's been exposed to be. I mean what content does he even make these days? He was a gamer/news channel for that genre and now basically just makes videos talking about haters and harassment. He had a rep as the "Mr. Rogers" of the internet and ever since his wife left him he exposed himself as a fraud playing a character. Francis was never an act that was his real self LMAO.

Yeah his wife leaving was the turn. Likely he is living off whatever donations he gets from his live stream, and small checks from youtube. But he is not making much at all. Like 18k a year after taxes. And that is still dropping.

I'm still in the vortex of that man, dude is an absolute joke but it's almost on the level of "So bad it's good" sort of trainwreck. I know Keemstar tried to get DSP on the LAWLCOW Podcast which has Boogie2988 already on it but he turned it down. DSP is Video Game forum worthy of his own thread because he is an absolute disaster.

I watched some of ManVsGame years ago but I think his drug abuse and the fact he was using sub money etc. on it sort of ruined his image to some people. He would have some insane 40+ hour straight streams of Dark Souls or something nutty, there was no humanly way possible he would last forever and he'd get serious burnout/fatigue. Makes total sense how he did those type of streams, he had to be on something to even get the energy to go that long. The final straw was speaking down to non-subs though for not giving him money and being the equivalent of people who go to the comic book store to read but not purchase/support the store. 

I think the burnout of streaming and his depression/antisocialism sort of contributed to not wanting to stream again. I am sure he can get some of his audience back if he put forth a dedicated schedule and not do 1 stream and dip out to never be heard of again. 

Man like most streamers did blow most of his sub money. But he was makes tens of thousands a year. Not hundreds of thousands of years like people do today. He also did not get the big money deals that came to others after because he never went along with the influencer stuff.

The drugs he abused were prescribed ADHD meds and weed. For him at his worst Arkham Knights he went 80 hours on wired on adderall.

Was in the final streams. Man was broken, and hated twitch. He hated people were making millions now and he, the original face of Twitch, could not even buy a house as his credit rating was too low. He was making about 3000 a month after taxes. I honestly think he said what he did to try to get his fans so pissed off they finally pushed him off the site for good. He liked his bowling job, but could only do one or the other, and twitch paid better. But if he pissed twitch off enough, he could justify keeping the bowling job. Either way, I was one of the people who could not afford to sub, despite talking with him most nights, so I fucked off the day before he finally just packed it up.

As for his audience, his subs will drop to about 500 or so, which is about 1000 a month after taxes. He could return, but he left for the drug abuse the first time, then just vanished for months when he had to move back to his hometown after his attempt to buy a house fell through. Now this will be the third time he vanished. And everyone is saying the second he runs out of cash and Cat does not want to support him alone, he will come back so he can get more cash flowing. But after the way he left, people may not be so open to supporting. Even his mods have no idea what happened to him. They helped him with his channel for years doing free work, and he just ghosted them again, for the third time.

Like I really do feel for the guy, he has serious mental issues that he only started to address last year in therapy, but he crossed a line for me with the comics comments. And it was not once he made them. It repeatedly over three separate streams. And it was advised if he had a problem with none subs to do sub only streams or sub only chat. He refused. Instead he wanted to fight. But my single line for Twitch is if I feel at all manipulated for cash, I bail.

What Man did not mention is while streaming, he also got about 1000 a month from ad rev, which is based on viewers in the chat. Those people just browsing were giving him money, and all sponsored stuff he did, like the HBO Titans and Doom Patrol interviews were based on average viewers in chat. So even the plebs were helping him get paid. And he shit on us.

Fuck I ever tried to walk him through what burnout is and how to recover from it, as my second mentor was a sport psychologist who worked with the US olympic team for 12 years with a focus on burnout and choking. Just gave him like general terms to look him and his chat shit all over it. Dropped a couple names of performance psychologists that would have even done free therapy with him if they could write up his case anonymously and talk candidly about streaming culture. His chat also shit on it, and he ignored it. So by the time the comic shit came I was half out anyway. Could see he wanted to self-destruct, the question was just how would he do it this time now drugs were off the table. Burning down his channel turned out to be the answer.
