AEW Dynamite Episode #001 The Dynamite theme song plays as the historic debut episode of AEW Dynamite comes to you live, from the sold-out Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C, followed by fireworks going off in the arena. Jim Ross alongside his broadcast partners (Excalibur and Tony Schiavone) welcomes everybody to the show, mentioning how it sold out in less than thirty minutes, before hyping up the opening six-man tag team contest. Six-Man Tag Team Match Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta), and Orange Cassidy versus SoCal Uncensored (Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian, and Scorpio Sky) The first wrestling match on TNT in almost twenty years is a six-man tag team match, that sees SoCal Uncensored taking on the team of Orange Cassidy and The Best Friends. Needless to say, this match was a nice mixture of technical wrestling, high-flying antics, and of course, Orange Cassidy's laid-back approach to professional wrestling. Scorpio Sky and Chuck Taylor would engage, in a fast-paced exchange of strikes and counters, to kick off the match for their respective teams. It wouldn't take long, however, before Scorpio would get the upper hand as Chuckie T found himself isolated in the corner of SoCal Uncensored, allowing the trio to showcase their tandem offense. At some point, Chuck Taylor would find a much-needed opening, and make the hot tag to his Best Friends teammate, that of course being Trent Beretta. Trent quickly gets into the match, with a series of clotheslines and suplexes to the three members of SoCal Uncensored, before leaping off of the ropes and planting Scorpio with a sick Dudebuster DDT (Springboard Tornado DDT). As the match progressed, things would eventually spill to the outside, as “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels would grab the top rope, and find himself diving to the outside of the ring, taking out both Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta. Meanwhile, back in the ring, the explosive action would continue, as Orange Cassidy with his hands in his pocket, ends up ducking a clothesline from Frankie Kazarian, bouncing back off of the ropes and connecting with a running front dropkick that lays out the former X-Division champion. Match Ending: Chaos ensues as all six competitors enter the ring for a flurry of signature moves, that sees Trent Beretta setting Scorpio Sky up for a Crunchy, at the same time Chuck Taylor comes off of the top rope with a double stomp, hitting Strong Zero, 1... 2... no Christopher Daniels breaks it up, with a Best Moonsault Ever out of nowhere. Orange Cassidy would then surprise everyone by unleashing a quick burst of fast-paced strikes, before hitting the Orange Punch on Frankie Kazarian for the 1... 2... 3 and giving his team the victory in this opening contest. Following the match, Orange Cassidy maintains his cool demeanor as he celebrates the big win, with Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta. While this is happening, the SoCal trio are back to their feet, before making their way over to their opponents and offering a handshake to acknowledge the entertaining and hard-fought match, that just took place. Commercial Break When we return from the commercial break, Tony Schiavone is standing at the top of the ramp alongside the brother duo of Cody and Dustin Rhodes. The Rhodes Brothers talk about their incredible tag team match, they had against Nick and Matt Jackson better known as The Young Bucks back at Fight for the Fallen. Tony Schiavone brings up the upcoming AEW tag team championship tournament that will start next week, before mentioning that both Cody and Dustin will be participating in it. "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes says it'll be an honor and a privilege to compete against some of the best tag teams in pro wrestling today, while "The Natural" Dustin Rhodes mentions how he still has one last title run in him. As Tony attempts to continue interviewing the sons of Dusty Rhodes, they are quickly cut off by The Lucha Brothers (Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix), who come out and quickly claim they are the best tag team in the world today. It doesn't take long before two other tag teams make their way out, those teams, of course, being Private Party (Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen) and The Hybrid 2 (Angelico and Jack Evans). Eventually, things come to a boiling point, as all four teams erupt into an all-out brawl. Both Jim Ross and Excalibur mention how things are starting to heat up in AEW's tag team division and how over the course of the next several weeks leading up to Full Gear should be interesting as we look to crown the first-ever AEW tag team champions. Outside of these four teams, the masked announcer that is Excalibur points out that Best Friends, Proud & Powerful, SoCal Uncensored, and The Young Bucks will be in the tournament as well. Singles Match Brandon Cutler vs. MJF Match Ending: Pretty much like in real life, this match was as one-sided as they come, with Maxwell Jacob Friedman making quick work of the childhood friend of The Young Bucks. It doesn’t take long, before Brandon Cuttler finds himself in trouble, as MJF forces him to tap out to the Salt of the Earth (Fujiwara Armbar) earning a submission victory. After the match, MJF demands a microphone, before cutting a promo saying how disappointed he was, due to this being the so-called best competition that AEW could give him, and that he was better than Cutler and the people in the audience and they know it. With Dynamite coming back from a commercial break, we see the outside of the arena as a rumble of a powerful engine is heard before a sleek black car pulls into the parking lot. The announce team mentions the arrival of Jon Moxley, as the camera zooms in on him stepping out of the vehicle, exuding an aura of intensity, as he makes his way into the building. As the show returns to ringside, Riho is already standing in the ring, as the thundering music of “The Native Beast” blasts throughout the arena, as Nyla Rose makes her way out to the ring. AEW Women’s Championship Singles Match Nyla Rose vs. Riho Match Ending: As soon as the bell rings, “The Native Beast” charges towards Riho, displaying her power advantage. Riho attempts to use her speed and agility, but Nyla shoves her away effortlessly. As the match goes on, it’s clear that this is a one-sided battle as Nyla dominates Riho from the start. Soon after, Nyla Rose lifts the small Japanese woman onto her shoulders, and executes a crushing Beast Bomb, pinning Riho for the decisive victory. Nyla Rose just made history, by becoming the first-ever AEW women’s champion, wanting to assert her dominance and send a message to the other women in the locker room, she quickly picks up Riho and delivers a second Beast Bomb, followed by a third one. ++++++++++++ We go backstage, as Chris Jericho is sitting in his private locker room, alongside Proud & Powerful (Santana and Ortiz). The three men are shown discussing the main event of tonight’s episode of Dynamite, and what they have planned for The Elite (Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks). Chris Jericho: "Good. Tonight, we send a message. I don't care if it's in the ring or in their damn dressing room. We’ll show them that this is our turf, and nobody messes with the Inner Circle." The other two Inner Circle members share a nod. They continue talking about a game plan, as the camera fades to a commercial break. Commerical Break Standing in the center of the ring is none other than the newest member of the AEW roster, that man being the one and only Jon Moxley, who just so happens to be holding a microphone in hand. Jon Moxley: You know something, I’ve been sitting back and watching, as people have made claims about running this place, but I just want to remind people of something, and that’s that Jon Moxley doesn’t answer to anyone. The crowd erupts into cheers. Jon Moxley: Kenny, you call yourself the 'Best Bout Machine,' Chris you might be a living legend and a so-called 'Demo God,' but none of that means shit to me. You see, I don’t need any catchy nicknames because I came here for one reason and one reason only, and that’s for the AEW world heavyweight championship. So if I have to prove that I’m the toughest son of a bitch and walk through fire to win the richest prize in this business then so be it. Moxley chants are heard throughout the Capital One Arena. Jon Moxley: So Omega, Jericho, get ready, because at Full Gear, the storm is coming, and I am the fucking storm." Jon Moxley then drops the microphone and proceeds to leave the ring. Commercial Break

Singles match "Hangman" Adam Page vs. "The Bastard" Pac AEW fans are in for a treat, Adam Page squares off against the highly talented and high-flying Pac in what should be an epic clash. The action kicks off with some technical wrestling, as both wrestlers jockey for the early advantage, which Pac takes due to his superior agility. The pace quickens, as Pac unleashes a series of kicks and knee strikes, however, Adam Page manages to duck a Spinning Back Kick from The Bastard and comes back with a devastating Lariat of his own, that damn near takes off Pac’s head for the count of two. As the match progresses, Pac looking to utilize his aerial abilities lands a picture-perfect Springboard Moonsault, but it’s not enough to put Hangman Adam Page away. At one point in the match, Adam Page was looking to end things with a Buckshot Lariat, but Pac managed to duck the finishing move and connect with a Bridged German Suplex to AEW’s resident cowboy for a two count. Match Finish: Pac is up top, no doubt looking for his high impact Black Arrow finishing move, unfortunately for the man nicknamed The Bastard, he has to deal with some cowboy shit, thanks to Adam Page ascending to the top turnbuckle. With both men up top, they start trading blows, going shot for shot with each other, until Hangman slips underneath Pac, and comes off the turnbuckles with a Avalanche Deadeye, 1…2…3, Adam Page picks up the win. Adam Page having just picked up a massive win on the debut episode of Dynamite, is unaware of the danger that lurks but soon enough he finds out, as the debuting Jake Hager slides into the ring, and takes out Hangman from behind with a hard-hitting clothesline. The All-American badass isn’t done though, as he grabs Page by the waist, pulling him into the air, and drops him with a Hager Bomb (Gutwrench Powerbomb), before finally locking in the Ankle Lock. As Hager exits the ring, leaving a battered Hangman Adam Page in his wake, the AEW landscape has just been shaken to its core. The commentary team struggles to make sense of what we've witnessed, but one thing is for sure, Jake Hager means business. Commercial Break Much like earlier in the night, our camera crew catches up with Kenny Omega, as well as Nick and Matt Jackson, better known as The Young Bucks. It’s pretty obvious that Kenny Omega is taking this upcoming match a little more seriously than his Elite brothers, who tell him not to worry as they have this match in the bag. ++++++++++++ Singles Match Darby Allin vs. Sammy Guevara A determined Sammy Guevara, pulls out all the stops, including a jaw-dropping Standing Shooting Star Press that leaves the audience in awe but just can’t quite put Darby Allin away for the three count. Darby, known for his fearlessness, takes the action to the outside with a Suicide Dive that sends both men crashing hard into the barricade. The audience is on their feet, as Darby feeds off the energy of the crowd. Throughout the match, both Darby Allin and Sammy Guevara would kick out of some high-octane moves, including Darby somehow surviving a 450 Splash, and Sammy making it to the ropes as he was locked into the Last Supper submission hold. Match Ending: As the match nears its climax, Darby Allin slowly makes his way up to the top turnbuckle in the upper right-hand corner and comes off with a Coffin Drop, but Sammy manages to find the energy to roll out of the way just in time. Slowly getting back to his feet, Sammy Guevara turns his attention to the face-painted warrior, as he scoops Darby up and hits a stunning GTH (Go To Hell) to win the match. Back at ringside, Tony Schiavone and Excalibur hype up our main event, as they promise that it will be one hell of a match, between six amazing talents, but first, we have to take our last commercial break of the evening. Before our main event gets underway, Jim Ross, Excalibur, and Tony Schiavone mention the upcoming tag team tournament, to crown the first-ever AEW tag team champions. The three-man team then goes on to mention the first-round brackets as… Best Friends vs. The Rhodes Dynasty, Lucha Bros. vs. Proud & Powerful, Private Party vs. SoCal Uncensored, and of course The Hybrid 2 vs. The Young Bucks'. Six-Man Tag Team Match The Elite (Kenny Omega, and The Young Bucks) versus The Inner Circle (Chris Jericho and Proud and Powerful) The match kicked off, with the two athletes from Winnipeg setting the tone for this contest early on, as the two men demonstrated a blend of technical prowess and hard-hitting strikes to each other. Eventually, Chris Jericho would take advantage, finding an opening and hitting a Powerbomb to Kenny Omega for a quick one count. With the match progressing, it became pretty obvious, that Chris Jericho and Proud & Powerful were gelling well as a unit, as both Santana and Ortiz used their street smarts to counteract the high-flying maneuvers of The Young Bucks'. Santana delivered a Reverse Rolling Cutter to Matt Jackson, and at the same time, Ortiz hit his brother Nick with a Thrust Kick before following it up with a Snap DDT. This match would eventually turn into a party though, a Superkick Party that is, as Matt and Nick Jackson would lay waste to Jericho, Ortiz, and Santana, with Superkicks. Unfortunately for The Elite though, they couldn’t put away The Inner Circle. Several double and triple team moves would be seen, including Chris Jericho eating an Elite Trigger, for a two count, as well as Proud & Powerful setting Kenny Omega up with a Neckbreak Bomb (a Powerbomb/Reverse DDT combo), which again only scores a two count. The competitors would find themselves on the outside of the ring, as Kenny Omega bounced off the ropes, coming back and leaping over the top rope with Rise of the Terminator, taking everyone out, including his own teammates. At one point, The Young Bucks show off their tag team skills, when Matt Jackson has Santana in a tombstone position, at the same time Nick Jackson springboards off of the ropes, connecting with the Meltzer Driver 1… 2… Ortiz dives into the ring and breaks it up. Match Ending: Kenny Omega has Chris Jericho on his shoulders, before sending him crashing down to the ring canvas, with a One Winged Angel,.. 1… 2… NO, Jon Moxley comes out of nowhere pulling Omega out of the ring, BAM~!!!!!! Paradigm Shift to The Cleaner, onto the floor. Seconds later, Jon Moxley is looking under the ring, before pulling out a chair wrapped in barbed wire and getting into the ring, Jon Moxley then rams the chair into Ortiz's ribs, causing him to double over, just as Moxley brings it down across his back. Santana and The Young Bucks aren't spared either, as they eat some of the steel chair, as well. Chris Jericho uses the ropes to pull himself back up to his feet, only to stagger around right into a Death Rider from Jon Moxley. The referee of this match (Aubrey Edwards), has no choice but to call for the bell and rule this one a no-contest, with Jon Moxley standing in the ring, admiring his destruction, we fade to black. AEW Dynamite Episode #002 As AEW comes on the air, from the Agganis Arena, in Boston, Massachusetts, the self-proclaimed "Demo God" makes his way out to the ring, where he demands a microphone. Chris Jericho: Well, well, well, look who's in the ring... the man, the myth, the legend, the one and only Chris Jericho. The crowd starts to boo the AEW world heavyweight champion. Chris Jericho: You can boo me all you want, but the fact of the matter is, there is no AEW without me. I single-handedly made this company relevant, do you honestly think people would care about All Elite Wrestling, if “The Demo God” wasn’t your champion? The booing intensifies as the crowd voices their displeasure, while Chris Jericho lifts his championship belt into the air. Chris Jericho: Which brings me to why I’m out here, Jon Moxley, you ungrateful son of a bitch, if it weren’t for me creating the foundation of AEW, you wouldn’t even be here. Yet for some reason, you think you can come out here, and lay your hands on me? Well, Jon, mark my words, you will pay for what you did, you can't escape it, Moxley, you can’t escape the Judas Effect. As Chris Jericho heads out of the ring and makes his way to the back, we cut to a commercial break. Commercial Break AEW Tag Team Championship Tournament Match Tag Team Match The Hybrid 2 (Angelico & Jack Evans) versus The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) The Hybrid 2 have been feeling overlooked lately in the AEW tag team division, it goes without saying but they are looking to turn things around in their favor, unfortunately, though they find themselves paired up with the odds on favorites to win the whole tournament. The Hybrid 2 displays tremendous teamwork early on, as Jack Evans charges at Matt Jackson, with a Handspring Back Elbow. Jack Evans then tosses the older Jackson brother towards Angelico who connects with a Flying Karate Kick but they only manage to get a two count. As the match went on, Matt Jackson would find an opening, as he delivered a picture-perfect Northern Lights Suplex to Jack Evans, before following it up with a second and a third one. As that is happening, Nick Jackson runs across the apron, hitting Angelico hard with a Punt to his chest. At some point in the match, Jack Evans was looking to put Nick Jackson away, as he came off the top turnbuckle with a 630 Splash, unfortunately for Evans though Nick managed to roll out of the way, causing Jack to crash and burn. Match Ending Matt Jackson has Angelico up on his shoulders in a firemen's carry, before hitting a Finlay roll onto the canvas, Nick would then come off of the top with a 450 Splash, just as Matt goes up top himself, and leaps off with a Moonsault of his own, hitting a double team maneuver that they call More Bang For Your Buck, earning themselves a victory and moving on in the tag team tournament. Early on in the match, Shawn Spears is quick to work over Janela’s right arm, trying to exploit any weakness that “The Bad Boy” might have, as he twists and wrenches the limb in every manner he can think of. Hearing the crowd get behind him, Joey Janela manages to make a comeback though, using his unorthodox brawling style to his advantage. During the match, the two men would find themselves on the outside of the ring, just as Joey Janela Irish Whips Shawn Spears back first hard into the barricade, utilizing the guardrail as a weapon of sorts. Joey Janela continues on the attack, unleashing a series of stiff Knife-Edge Chops, to the Canadian superstar, turning his chest beet red in the process. There were a few times throughout the match, where Shawn Spears would yell at the referee, following a pinfall attempt, most notably when he landed the Tye Breaker (Fireman’s Carry into a Facebreaker) to Joey Janela, who showed his tenacity by getting a shoulder up, before the count of three. At some point though, Joey Janela fights back, as he slips behind Shawn Spears and delivers a German Suplex, following it up with a quick Trust Kick, straight to Shawn’s jaw, and goes for a cover of his own, for a two count only. Match Ending: In a move that shocked absolutely nobody, Shawn Spears' manager, that of course being the legendary Tully Blanchard, causes a distraction by tripping up the legs of “The Bad Boy”. With Joey Janela caught off guard, the long-time veteran takes advantage, as Shawn Spears hoists Janela up onto his shoulders, and hits a Running Death Valley Driver, better known as The C-4 to pick up the win. ++++++++++++ We then take things backstage, where Adam Page is standing by with the always lovely Dasha Gonzales. Dasha Gonzales: Hangman, last week you were attacked by Jake Hager, who made his shocking AEW debut. Can you share your thoughts on what happened out there?" Adam Page: Well first off, Dasha, I don’t think anyone was expecting Jake Hager to attack me last week, I know I sure as hell wasn’t expecting it. I've been trying to figure that out for myself, but the truth is I don’t really care, what I do know is, he’s pissed off this cowboy. Hager, I'm not the type to back down, so if you want a fight, you’ve got one. I’ll see your ass at Full Gear. Seconds later though, the sound of steel meeting flesh is heard, as Adam Page stumbles forward, the camera shot pulls out, just as we see that Jake Hager is holding a chair in hand. Hager doesn’t let up though, as he raises the unforgiven metal chair and once again brings it down across the Cowboy’s back. Jake Hager: You want a match at Full Gear? You’ve got it. Jake Hager grabs a handful of Adam Page’s long blonde hair, pulling "The Cowboy" to his feet, before tossing him hard into a nearby wall, as backstage workers and security pull Jake Hager off of a downed “Cowboy” Adam Page. Commercial Break When we return from commercial break, Kip Sabian is standing in the ring alongside Penelope Ford, as they watch Jon Moxley make his way out from the crowd, for this contest. Singles MatchJon Moxley vs. “Super Bad” Kip Sabian Match Ending: As soon as the bell rings, Moxley is on the attack, as he charges towards Kip, taking him out with a Forearm Smash, sending Sabian to the ring canvas. Jon Moxley, with a cold and determined expression, quickly picks Kip Sabian back up and delivers the Headlock Driver. The match could have been finished right there and then, but Moxley has other plans, as he once again grabs a visibly shaken Kip Sabian by the back of his head and pulls him to his feet, this time driving him to the mat head first with a Death Rider, for the three count. Having picked up an easy win over Kip Sabian, Jon Moxley has a menacing grin on his face. The crowd suddenly bursts into cheers, as Kenny Omega slides into the ring and taunts Jon Moxley to turn around, and once he does… Omega hits a V-Trigger that damn near takes his head off.

Coming back from break, we’re in a locker room, with Orange Cassidy and the tag team known as Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta), when both Cody and Dustin Rhodes walk in, grabbing the attention of their tag team tournament opponents. Cody Rhodes: Guys, guys hold on, we’re not here to start anything. Dustin Rhodes: My brother’s right, we just wanted to come by and let you know that we’re looking forward to next week. The truth is, we’re honored to be going up against you guys in this tournament. Trent Beretta: Dustin, if anyone should be honored, it’s us. I mean you’re a legend man, and Cody you’re the reason we’re even here in the first place. Chuck Taylor: Look we respect the hell out of you guys, but just know we’re not going to take it easy on you. Trent and I want those tag team titles. Cody Rhodes: I hear you and we wouldn’t have it any other way. May the best team win next week. Orange Cassidy sticks his hands in his pockets, shrugs his shoulders, and says “whatever” before walking out of the locker room, heading to ringside for his match that’s just moments away. ++++++++++++ Singles Match “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy vs. Scorpio Sky As the match gets underway, Orange Cassidy is cool, calm, and collected, as Scorpio Sky charges at him, dodging his attack, Orange rolls out of the way. Orange Cassidy being Orange Cassidy, would deliver the Lazy Kicks to the shins of Scorpio, who isn’t amused by this in the slightest, and drives his forearm into Cassidy's face. Scorpio grabs Freshly Squeezed and whips him into the ropes, Orange bounces off of them, right into a Backbreaker from Sky. At one point in the match, Orange Cassidy hit Scorpio with an Orange Punch, however, it wasn’t enough to put Sky away due to the lazy cover attempt from the man known for his laid-back attitude. You could tell, that Scorpio was getting frustrated with his opponent, for not taking the match as seriously as he probably should have. About midway through the match, Scorpio Sky would leap into the ring from the ring apron, catching Orange with a Slingshot Cutter, but Orange would get a shoulder up. Match Ending: In the closing moments of the match, Scorpio Sky locks in a Heel Hook submission hold onto Orange Cassidy, trying to force him to tap out, Freshly Squeezed slowly pulls himself to the bottom ropes where he manages to grab ahold of it. Orange Cassidy slowly uses the ropes to pull himself back up and comes at Scorpio Sky with another attempt at hitting Orange Punch, who somehow sidesteps it, before rolling Cassidy up with a Schoolboy Rollup, the ref doesn’t see it but Scorpio grabbed a handful of tights as the three count is made.

As we return from commercial break, both Excalibur and Tony Schiavone hype up next week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, they just got word of a massive main event match, that will see Jon Moxley and Kenny Omega forced to co-exist, as they partner up with Adam Page, to take on the team of Chris Jericho, Jake Hager, and “The Bastard” Pac. AEW Tag Team Championship Tournament Match Tag Team Match Proud and Powerful (Santana & Ortiz) versus The Lucha Brothers (Pentagon Jr. & Rey Fenix) Proud and Powerful show off some fantastic teamwork early on, as Santana has Rey Fenix set up for a Powerbomb, just as Ortiz comes from behind with a Lungblower combination, that damn near puts Fenix away for the three count. The momentum would turn back to the Lucha Bros. favor, as Rey Fenix leaps onto the upper right turnbuckle, before diving to the outside of the ring with a Tornillo (Springboard Twisting Dive), taking out Proud and Powerful. Not wanting to be outdone by his younger brother, Pentagon Jr. dives over the top rope with a Tope Con Hilo crashing into everybody, including Rey Fenix. At one point Pentagon Jr. comes at Santana, taking him out with a Sling Blade, before landing a Pentagon Driver (Pumphandle Half Nelson Driver), but only gets a two count, as Ortiz is there to save the match for his team. Soon thereafter, Rey Fenix gets into the ring and sends Ortiz into a nearby corner, only to charge in with a Springboard Spin Kick, that connects to the jaw of the Proud and Powerful member. The team of Santana and Ortiz would get back into the match, as a well-timed low blow to Pentagon Jr., behind the referee’s back turned the tide of this match. Ortiz would deliver a Thrust Kick, before following it up with a Snap DDT, seconds later Santana comes flying off the nearby middle turnbuckle with a Seated Senton, but the fighting spirit of Pentagon Jr. allows him to power through and kick out, before a three count. Match Ending: Rey Fenix hits an awe-inspiring Handspring Double Cutter, taking out both members of Proud and Powerful. Pentagon Jr. would quickly follow it up with the Fear Factor on Ortiz, giving their team the victory. The Lucha Brothers celebrate their hard-fought victory, proving that they are a force to be reckoned with in the tag team division.
