Call a penalty for hitting a QB on the sideline: “ThIs GaMe Is RiGgED!” Ignore a pass interference call on the five yard line: silence. Also not on the sideline. Clearly in the field of play. In slow motion for sure. But one that gets called all the time and a not particularly surprising bad call. The noncall was literally the definition of the penalty and without question. But you joined the cacophony of internet morons who took a bad call and shout rigged. The no call had a significantly bigger impact on the result of the game, so if the game was rigged, it wound up to be for the home team. Im not saying it was rigged, I’m saying how stupid I think anyone who says that is.

Except McCauley literally explained how there’s been an emphasis on NOT throwing that flag in that situation and especially when the QB was going for extra yards. It’s was egregious and you could tell live he was in the field of play. You can argue that the PI was a more significant penalty because of where it would have placed the ball but they wouldn’t have even been in that position if not for the inexplicable late hit call. It’s sad that it came down to that last two minutes of incompetence because that was a great game and fun quarterback duel to that point.

Refs fucked up three times.
1) that wasn’t a late hit on Mahomes. Like it wasn’t even close. He was on the field of play and QBs get pushed or hit after stepping out of bounds all the time with no call. Superstar treatment.
2) they realize they fucked up and decided to squeeze in a makeup call if they could.
3) they saw a DPI and let it slide because of #2.
Just a shit show all around and I can’t wait until the Super Bowl is decided like this so the league actually does something about it because it affects the biggest gambling night of the year.

22 years watching Texans football this is shaping up to be one of my favorite seasons. I see Mahomes level talent in Stroud, watching him drop back and throw is starting to give me the feels, he’s got like a Warren Moon type of pocket presence already as a rookie, something it took Moon 4-5 years to develop.
Family at the game yesterday said stadium was at least 1/3rd empty if not more and mostly all Broncos fans. So odd, I’m guessing H-town is too broke to go to Texans games right now.

That is fucking bullshit! Wow! Fucking rigged ass bullshit! Refs were awful the last 2 minutes on both sides. But I hope irony of a Packers fan yelling "RIGGED" in Lambeau of all places isn't lost on you. Packers have gotten more bullshit calls and no calls at home over the years than just about anyone. Except maybe Seattle.

You guys have a lot to be proud of and at 8-5, I think splitting the final 4 games means you're in. Double digit wins should be enough.

Just realised it’s Jets/Texans next week. The PW Bowl. Should be fun. I was just really happy to see the defense make some plays yesterday, especially Stingley and Anderson who we’ve invested a lot in. Some young stalwarts on both sides of the ball.

I know how Texans fans feel right now. Was the same with Josh Allen when he was new. Yeah he made dumb mistakes but you knew that if he reeled those in he would be good, and the team had finally found a QB you could hitch your wagon to. It's an exciting time watching that unfold.

Trevor Simeian is now warming up. :laughy: :laughy: This coaching staff is so clueless. This is just trying to stick shit in to see if it sticks. #GoodForZach trending on twitter. Know your worth kid, your teammates were campaigning for Rodgers all offseason long and the coaches threw you under the bus and somehow thought Tim Boyle & Trevor Siemien were going to do better. Now they are ready to trot Aaron Rodgers out if/when ready. Legit proud of Zach Wilson's stance here, he said you want him gone, why come back to me now?

Know your worth? So he’s supposed to know he’s a trash quarterback?
Lost in the terrible ref ending last night was the Packers performance. Really falling in love with this team more and more - so much energy and vigor with these young guys and now they are pairing it with knowledge and a little bit of experience. Love is the obvious one but these receivers have stepped up so much as well and especially Watson who I hope is going to be okay.
The future it bright.

He didn't do good this year but it was a collective failure but it's easy to just point at the QB as the sole anchor so why not ride out one of the other options and see if it gets better(Spoiler: It won't). He was looked at as the reason the Jets have been awful in his 3 years so why come back to him now?

I don’t think anyone thinks he is the soul reason why the Jets season failed but he was certainly part of it. Boyle is worse obviously - he might be the most under qualified person in the NFL holding a roster spot much less a starting position but that also doesn’t absolve Zach from all his faults and failures. As for the recruitment of Rodgers. Of course they did. They know Zach better than anyone.

I just don't get why now the coaching staff wants to go back to the player they openly were less than excited about as the season enfolded. He got kicked to 3rd string and deactivated why is he now being called upon after the organization went head & shoulder to indicate he has brought the entire team down by himself? I see it from his POV. It is a bad look to turn away starting when your being paid to play but the fanbase boos him every single snap, defensive players gripe how the offense isn't carrying their end of the deal, WRs like Garrett Wilson are frustrated and openly displaying their anger over the QB and O-Line, probably has no input on Hackett's offense(You can even tell this with how little they take chances with him at QB), now after deciding for like the 4th time in his young career that he should be benched and demoded to 3rd string, now you want to come back to him?

He’s a millionaire getting paid by the team to play football when they ask you to play football and thankfully for him - he cashes those checks no matter how pitiful of a player he is. I don’t understand this sentimental weirdness towards Zach - I know he was suppose to be the savior but he’s clearly not and never going to be…

Under a good coaching staff, Zach Wilson could be decent. There is potential there and he could get better under the right circumstances.
I look at Geno in Seattle. He finally found his fit and until him and Walker got injured at the same time, Seattle looked destined for the playoffs.
Zach could fall into a similar situation and is young enough that the upside still outweighs the downside. He just needs to leave NY to find it. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he lands on a rebuild team and starts to improve.
That being said I also wouldn’t be surprised if he spends the rest of his career as a back up. Which isn’t the worst thing ever but just as likely if he can’t find the right fit to improve as a starter.

I’ll never understand why so many refuse to let go of obviously bad quarterbacks. It was said about Darnold too with 100 different times and every coaching change. The truth is that these guys the majority of the time never change and suddenly become worthwhile starters no matter how many opportunities they get.

I don’t understand this sentimental weirdness towards Zach - I know he was suppose to be the savior but he’s clearly not and never going to be… Zach is easy to root for and handled this spot with the Jets as good as he could have outside of playing better, whoever gets him as a reclamation project is getting someone who puts in so much work. It's been back and forth reporting, some say he is hesitant on coming back, others saying no one even asked him. It is a massive mess on the Jets as a whole and major embarrassment on Joe Douglas & Saleh and the coaches altogether regardless of what happened. The fact that this regime is able to get another year is absolute luck and based off the good and health of a 40 year old who has done nothing in New York to warrant this type of pull and is getting this based off of his resume alone.

You are absolutely correct and I had the same points on Geno as a Jet when he was here, he was thrown out there way too soon and the head coach would throw him under the bus to cover up for the defense's faltering late in his tenure. It took a massive break for Russell Wilson to go down for Geno to get his shot as he was thrown in to break up Eli Manning's streak as he and McAdoo had friction and Phil Rivers never went down when with the Chargers.

EDIT: Boo old video.
Envious of how good Howie Roseman is when it comes to getting talent, they got Leonard to help bolster the LB group. He was asked to be one of the top dogs in Indy, he will just slide right in and hold stuff down inside. Run behind some monsters on the D-Line.

I don't disagree with you, but we're talking about Zach Wilson specifically. In general yeah, QBs that falter rarely recover despite changing teams. I just think people are giving up on Zach Wilson too soon, but I also wouldn't be surprised if I am wrong.

Darnold showed signs of life in his 1st year but Adam Gase who openly said he never worked with a young QB was the kiss of death. Joe Brady in CAR got Darnold to play well at times but injuries caught him in year 1 and Matt Rhule decided to hire Bob McAdoo years away from the game and that was it.
