People reporting that WWE is getting worried about the Elimination Chamber show in Perth as less than 10k tickets sold in a 70k stadium. Deep discounts starting for the tickets.
This was AEW be a host of comments about the fed dying.
But seriously, gonna be a weird show most likely as this was a risky show running Perth that is not likely to pay off and they will have to struggle to hide how empty this show will be. And the chamber not gonna do them any favors with this.

It would cost a similar amount for an east coast Australian to go to a show in LA than this will, so it's not surprising they're not selling many tickets.

Yup. People talked about this once the show was announced that it was a really bad location for fans. Perth paid for the show so it is profitable to WWE, but they will struggle to get people to the arena.

Meltzer. Hundreds of seats at ring side clearly shows they are having issues selling. Not sure why you have trouble with this. The ticket prices are sky high for shit seats, and people in Australia that want to go are complaining that cost to do so is not worth it.

Floor seats the worst seats in the house. There would be 50 metres between some seats and the ring, and about 3,000 heads inbetween. I wouldn't even waste my money unless your in the first few rows or the next level up. AFL Football stadiums are massive. Unless you like looking at a big screen on an odd angle. Sure, wrestling, concerts, big events regularly do +70,000 people, but it's an oval configuration and the permanent structures are 70-80m from the centre square.

Dave misread the sales sheets it appears. Closer to 30k but still is half empty. WWE will need to tarp heavily and move people. I assume they will also not be returning to Perth for a PPV.
Australia is resale country as well, so ticket sales figures overestimate attendance since ticketmaster handled this. Unsure if the price cap for scalping is in effect or not.

I’m sure tickets will move once the card starts getting announced. Putting Roman, Punk, and maybe Brock on the show will help.

The ticket issue HR mentioned. For most Australians that want to see WWE live, it is cheaper to see them in LA than Perth since you will need to fly either way. A killer card not gonna change things. Besides the Chamber sells the card. You either pay to see the Chamber live, or you accept it is most likely you will never get that option again outside of the US.
To put in context how expensive these tickets are, the average Swift ticket was cheaper in Australia. They want this to not be a half empty arena those prices got to seriously be cut or next month start to flood the market with comps.

It costs any where between $400-$800 to fly from Melbourne or Sydney to Perth ATM. It might cost the better half of $1,000 return.
Melbourne to LA is the better half of $3,500 return, the cheapest I saw was $2,700.
By via Flight Centre.
You did the same thing for ALL IN. You first questioned the ability to fill the stadium, now the supposed cost of flying to Perth is an issue, next what.. the transport and accommodation and whether Perth can sustain a few extra people?

Priced a two way ticket for 800 on KAYAK from Melbourne.
Even then, are you saying most people have $1200 just laying around for a wrestling show? Are you taking the plane ride?
Also not seeing a single person believing this will sell out. Everyone said it was a risk from the start, before the costs were announced because most musicians even skip Perth do to lack of draw.

People aren't going to fly to Perth for a show
Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide are all drivable with a car full of mates, Perth is a week of driving

Are you driving from Melbourne to Brisbane? Or Adelaide to Brisbane? No, no one is making a 1,700 - 2,100km car trip respectfully. No one in their right mind. It'd cost as much or more in fuel to drive as opposed to flying. And it would be hot, boring and uncomfortable, and then you've got to contend with metro traffic to top it off. It's a 5hr flight from Sydney, or just over 4 from Melbourne. Book a car to take you from the airport to the hotel and it's a no worries, easy experience. I could fly to Perth by the time it took you to reach the NSW border iNCY depending on which suburb you're in. Jesus, this is reminiscent of the ALL IN thread. 101 reasons not to support a show. I'm sure someone has already dialled up a comment on the lack of hotels and tourism in Perth.

Melbourne to Brisbane is a two day drive with a car full of mates, but yes Brisbane is a stretch to drive. But I have driven Mel to Syd and Mel to Adl in a day.... Not the same day. All I am saying is that I am not sure what the WWE was thinking, Perth might as well be in a different country. I semi-regularly fly to Perth and New Zealand and NZ I can fly to cheaper than I can to Perth and it is closer. Anything in Perth is for the WA market, it is not going to attract Eastern states. UFC 284 sold out in Perth, but I would expect that to be the case. I can't see this selling out without heavy discounting

All I am saying is that I am not sure what the WWE was thinking, Perth might as well be in a different country. That's a question that's better asked of the WA government considering they're the ones who lobbied for it. And yeah, Sydney or Melbourne are our biggest markets. Taylor Swift is touring in a couple of months and is only playing in those two cities and bands would routinely skip other cities when they'd tour down here. It was a pain back in the BDO days where you couldn't bank on catching a band play a side-gig because they'd only reserve those shows for those markets. As far as All In, all I remember is that fans seemed to be under the impression that the show was just a hop, skip and a jump away when it was still a lengthy return trip and required a bit of prep. It was pretty ballsy to put that on when nobody knew what the card was even shaping up as, but the demand was evidently there. Relatively speaking, Perth may as well be on a different planet.

That's a question that's better asked of the WA government considering they're the ones who lobbied for it. [ It will bring people into the city, both from the suburbs and likely from Kal, and the south coast, in addition to people coming from interstate (it will) and they'll need accommodation, they'll eat, they'll play tourist. It's a boost for the local economy. In addition, it's an international commercial for Perth and WA. The New Day will be running around Perth on social media, Nakamura will be surfing at Margaret River.. on social media, Rhea and Waller will be morning shows, The Project, etc and on social media. Sheamus and Drew will visit the The West Coast Eagles and get a free footy jumper.. on social media. You get the drift?
