His stats weren’t that terrible. The Packers media especially used the numbers for reasons to bring him back - the silver lining in all this is that those numbers are going to show more of what the product on the field resembles and he shouldn’t be able to skate by anymore.

This whole bend but don’t break concept is great and all except when it constantly breaks. It also just keeps the defense on the field for far too long and the offense suffers as a result.

They should fire him this week. Ignite the locker room. Make a run.

Saw something that so many of the Vic Fangio disciples are being thrown out of the league, almost feels Bill Belichick esque that like nobody that came from Fangio's defense is succeeding. Staley is of course gone after a lousy job. Desai came from that tree and just lost his coaching duties essentially, Barry is the lone man remaining basically.

The problem with the defense is that it’s generally really conservative and was designed with the idea of beating the best quarterbacks and making them be patient and taking away the big plays. The problem with that is that it opens you up severely to the guys who are just okay with taking what the defenses give you and why the Taylor Heinecke/Devitos of the world would constantly have success. Barry would do nothing to make them uncomfortable. On top of that he would invite teams to run which they did and had success which just put more strain on the back end of the defense.

It worked best for Fangio because Fangio wasn’t afraid to adjust his system and adapt. Barry can’t do that , he just runs the most basic version of what he learned and can’t adapt to anything.

QB A - 69% , 1359 Yds , 11 TDs and 1 INT on 7.3 YPC
QB B - 66% , 1261 Yds , 8 TDs and 5 INT on 6.8 YPC

QB A is Jordan Love and QB B is Patrick Mahomes.

Even if you extrapolate it out to the whole season their numbers aren’t that different.

This isn’t to say that Love is better than Mahomes but anyone who wants to blame him for the Packers shortcomings or don’t think he can be the future is a complete retard and should just never watch football again.

He’s arguably been one of the best five quarterbacks in the league the past month plus.

I hope Hurts channels MJ tonight, and has himself a "Flu Game."

You can find quite a few of these QBs that people wouldn't generally consider in the same tier that have similar stats - it's why numbers don't tell the whole story. Justin Herbert and Kyler Murray is a good one.
