The Devil is in the details.  They will be AEW wrestlers that will be revealed.  He never said currently signed wrestlers though.  Only reason I can think of for this to have gone on this long, well past fans care, is they are waiting for people to be free of contracts. 

But maybe Tony will prove me wrong.  My faith in his long term booking is not high though.

Outsiders worked pretty well I thought.  But Toni breaking off to do Timeless Toni kind of killed their momentum.  Was like they had one planned angle against Britt then creative had nothing for them.

You're right. Eagle eyed viewers noted Wardlow forgot to change his shoes and it was a give away he was the big one.

Don't be naive, Jack Perry clearly beat up Wardlow and stole his shoes to frame the big man.

Wardlow is the size of a horse and ravaged MJF the last time these guys met. Does he really need a tired " who is it " reveal?

Easy booking would suggest, Wardlow bitch slaps the shit out of MJF one night and gives the champ a real beatdown. Then, they reply the asskicking MJF took way back when from Wardlow and then, MJF cuts the realest promo he can, proclaiming he needs to beat Wardlow for nothing more than proving to himself he can.

How dazed and confused of a booker must you be to forget Wardlow is 6 foot whatever and 280lbs and MJF is 5'8 and 200 plus change. And simply, the visual and the history should be enough to build a program without the need for an elaborate, no.. convoluted mystery attacker angle.

I would be happy with Zigler or Sami here. But so sick of the angle. Got to assume it was supposed to be Cole then they pulled an audible when he got hurt. Only way to justify it going on this long.

I seen that from the start. The problem is the IWC and many American wrestlers deemed him like unforgivable and untouchable. People for years dropped from lucha shows after he was added. When NJPW was rumored to be making a deal with him guys where threatening to drop associations.

I would also be shocked if WBD allowed him on the network. They banned Jay Briscoe for a lot less.

Looking just like he wants the trademark to push t-shirts in US AAA shows.

This 100%. I can't for the life of me figure out why they sabotage Wardlow every chance they get. He was the hottest thing going when he squashed MJF. Then they took him off TV and MJF won the title.

Now he's back and he's on Squash Tour 2.0 and saying he's going to kill MJF again. When? When are you goin to do this, Wardlow? Why are you waiting and wasting your energy powerbombing Griff Garrison? 

I hate Wardlow and it is better for all involved he is gone. The multiple hard powerbombs helps no one and just will fuck up people's necks having to take them back to back like that.

Wardlow's powerbombs aren't going to fuck wrestlers up any more than the bumping they already take from all the other high spots and big moves they do every match.

Wardlow has a ton of potential, he has just always lacked direction and focus.

The problem with them is they are back to back not intermittent. It is one thing to take five hard back bumps over 15 minutes, another to take the back to back over a 2 minute period. Something gets knocked a little out of place, you give it no time to relax back.

Maybe he's been stealing all the trademarks from AEW's current villains.

While c 's point about powerbombs is a little silly it might also point to why he doesn't do 10 in a row anymore. Back when he was on his first squash run he did the "Powerbomb Symphony" where he conducted the crowd and they counted along as he did them over and over. It was really cool and the main reason he got so over, but since he's been back he's switched it up to just doing 1 or 2, but with enough force that it knocks out his opponents and the match is called off.

So he might be onto something is all I'm saying, even though back bumps are like the main thing wrestlers do.

Also while the change is kinda cool I don't understand how it is going to work when he faces MJF or someone more formidable. If his powerbombs knock you unconscious then when he hits one the match should be over, right? And the referees have been stopping matches because they are worried about Wardlow's opponents safety. Does that mean when he does it to MJF, MJF retains the title because of ref stoppage? Or does the title change hands?

(I'm speaking in kayfabe here we all know MJF will be the first to kick out and eventually win the match...sorry this discussion should probably be moved, I forgot what thread we were in)

I'm convinced the Devil is Jack Perry until proven otherwise. I'm done thinking about it and just want the angle to be over. They've lost my interest until something drastic happens, like a reveal or some Joker shit where the henchmen are actually hostages.

Jimmy Jacobs. Devil story is his creation almost certainly.  Very Project 161 like.

Someone claims they saw a mustache and a bald head outline from a masked man. So if it is the Pinnacle then the devil must be Shawn Spears. He hasn't been around in a while. And early on he was on MJF level since that was who he use to make bets with. So he would be on the level with the Devil.

Worth noting that the height of the Devil and his muscle definition change from segment to segment. So almost certainly until they unmask people are swapping around in these roles.
