Credit to Lony for starting it last year, it's nearing the end of 2023(Pretty good year of gaming for me) and even though I spend a lot of the early portion of 2024 catching up on games I didn't finish from 2023, much like last year, I want to put out a top 10 most anticipated game list. Have to look up what's coming out but lets take a look at last year's list from 2023. pwcom.proboards.com/post/29999710: Fire Emblem: Fates (I did not play it but I did get it on sale for 50% off so it's on my giant backlog. Heard it's a better strategy RPG than Three Houses but it lacks the social link & character development that made Three Houses absolutely beloved.) 9) Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League (I had it #9 solely because Rocksteady has been fantastic in the past but yeah this didn't end up come out and honestly I don't think it makes my 2024 list if I am being honest. Maybe it is a surprise and I would definitely take it being anything close to Insomniac's Sunset Overdrive but alas need to see it to believe it. Somewhat down on this game.) 8) Spongebob Squarepants & The Cosmic Shake (Game came out in February and it was a 8/10 for me. You pretty much know what you're getting when it comes to this one. It plays it very safe and I thought Battle for Bikini Bottom was superior.) 7) The Plucky Squire (Will again make my list but I am somewhat down on it coming in 2024, as soon as I see a release date, the hype train can begin again.) 6) Hollow Knight: Silksong (See Plucky Squire, only this game has been in development for years I feel like. If it doesn't come out in 2024, red flags galore.) 5) Hades II (Well it didn't stick in 2023 but honestly that was reaching to think it would come out so soon. Totally feeling 2024 though and I hope so because I was a year late to the party but man Hades I was so friggin' good.) 4) Atomic Heart (Probably my biggest letdown of the year, I would give this game a 7/10. Just so much went wrong with this game to overdo the good this game had. I can live with jank but man this game just looked so freaking cool with the trailers and gunplay but then you play the game and it just has such a long intro in the factory and the open world felt so unnecessary. Not enough Mick Gordon tracks and the developer's obsession with putting what may be the worst enemy of 2023(Plush or whatever it was called) as not only a mandatory boss fight but then it's put in the way a couple more times, both in the open world and in a lab area so literal I had to face this thing four times! What makes this boss so annoying is it's gun immune so you have to get in front of it and use melee which basically became rock em sock em robots where I had to run around the damn thing and swing and heal like I am drunk. There was some good elements in this game like the final boss fight but they were so far and between.) 3) Final Fantasy XVI (Dropped this game almost halfway, on my immediate list to start maybe 2024 replaying or resuming where I left off. I fell off from this game as my gaming took a dip in the summer, also think Master Detective Archives: Rain Code took over my time in July. Thought the game was good albeit repetitive and easy but the boss fights and cinematic fights, the little I got to play, were so good.) 2) Spider Man 2 (Was 2nd most anticipated and is my 2nd favorite game of the year. Just an outstanding game by Insomniac, it was about what I expected from them. Yeah it was safe and it didn't drastically change the model that the 1st or Miles Morales had but again, much like with their Ratchet & Clank stuff, I know what I am looking for when I am buying these games and I am a happy camper with what they put out. Platinum too, easy one!) 1) Resident Evil 4 Remake (Yeahhhh my GOTY and given the high expectations I had for this, the fact that Capcom did it and reached that level got me super hyped. Spoke enough about this game in past threads and while I still think the original RE4 is the better of the two, this is a darn close 2nd for me.)

I'm shocked that you were that high on RE4 Remake. I don't know, I was just under the impression that it paled in comparison to the original in some ways and while it did certain things better, in other ways it didn't quite live up to the 2005 classic. Not that I'm going to complain, because as far as I'm concerned, it was all downhill after RE4. Magnum Opus gaming right there, put it on display at the Louvre and tell your grandkids about it.
I really only had one game that I was looking forward to, and there's people out there that would argue it's a glorified DLC - Tears of the Kingdom. I actually put it down for a few months, but getting back into it and finding my groove with it, I was absolutely hooked on that game and there's still a content I've got to touch. For me I wasn't quite vibing with the Nuts and Bolts crafting but once the auto-assemble option became available and you got access to more rides, the game went up several notches and pretty every spare moment I had went into the game.
Otherwise, the only games I really wanted were DLCs. I've yet to actually buy the Xeno III DLC, but Pokemon Scarlet has been something I've been really chowing down on lately. It really is just more of the same, but I enjoyed the direction the series went in (even if it was bare bones and it felt like they cut corners) so this was right up my alley. I probably over-hyped it so it didn't quite live up to expectations, but there's still plenty of content here and some nice QOL additions. I really enjoy the multi-player features they added and they actually made Union Circle worthwhile in the recent DLC. However it's kind of bare bones and doesn't really tie everything up nicely. THere's still a ton of questions over Area Zero and despite actually tossing up some interesting characters none of them really panned out.
Like the game itself, it just seemed like GameFreak cut corners despite being on track.
Still, I'm legitimately contemplating dropping another $50 just for the other two paradox exclusives.

As for next year, it's shaping up to be another lean year. Right now, the only games I'm genuinely thinking about getting Day 1 are remakes. Persona 3 and Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door and basically in that order. 3 stands out since it's the latest release from the Persona team and I'm curious to see how far they'll expand things and if they'll add any QOL features moving forward. Also curious to see how they change the story and while I expect it to be more user friendly, I wonder how much it will affect the tone. One thing I appreciated about P3 is how dark the tone was and it really did feel kind of isolating at times, so the ending provided so much more catharsis.
TTYD falls under the Shenmue umbrella where I've been after another copy for over a decade and while I have the means to play it now, being able to buy a legitimate copy just feels better for the soul. It's also the one game where if Nintendo wanted to make a cool couple of millions, they could easily just re-release this and watch the money come in.
That's just me though. I acknowledge the second part of FFVII is huge, but I've yet to actually play through the first chapter yet and I don't own a PS5 so it's out of sight out of mind. I'm sure I'll watch a few reviews and playthroughs just to get a general gist because it could potentially be awesome and I've always had a soft spot for Square.

Nice to see this thread made, Blindy. Big Pete touched on a remake that I'm excited for, that, of course, being Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. I've played two Paper Mario games, those being The Origami King and the OG Paper Mario game on the N64 NSO app, so yeah I'm pretty excited for this one given its reputation. Speaking of remakes, I'm also pumped Luigi's Mansion 2, a big fan of the series, so being able to play this on something other than my 3DS will be great. As far as sequels go, I'm looking forward to Hades II, and while I still need to finish Hollow Knight (I am enjoying it), I'm looking forward to Hollow Knight: Silksong, and why I've finally picked up the first game to play.

Blindy's Top 15(!) Most Anticipated Games of 2024: 15) Hollow Knight: Silksong (It's this low not because of the game itself....it's just been so long with the announcement that the longer this game takes to come out, the less interested I am in with it. I am sure it will be a fantastic Metroidvania and I had a very good time with the original Hollow Knight but I need to see a date and see to believe in Silksong.) 14) Hellblade 2: Senua's Saga (AKA System 's favorite game of all time. Hellblade 2 just from a graphical & environment storytelling perspective will be worth the trip. Even better it's Day 1 Game Pass, all in with playing this. Two reasons it's outside my top 10 is because this game been in development for like half a decade and still no concrete date. The other reason is I have to see it to believe it that Ninja Theory gets it with the combat/gameplay which I felt took a massive backseat to the rest of the 1st Hellblade game. I feel you aren't playing this one for the gameplay but more so for the ride/story & tale it takes you to if that makes sense.) 13) Hotel Barcelona (In all seriousness, this is what System is looking forward to. It's SUDA51's next project, the man known for making the No More Heroes series along other ridiculously over the top action games. It's Swery65's next project, the man known for making the Deadly Premonition series and other bat shit crazy story games. Now you get a game with the two together, what can possibly go wrong? Very little info. on the game but it seems like you go to different movie settings and have to battle serial killers in each, game says 2024 so it makes the list, pal.) 12) FF7: Rebirth (I am somewhat excited for this one, don't get me wrong but I am not edge of my seat frantically counting the days till it's released excited, at least not yet. I have never been a HUGE FF7 fan but even then I found myself enjoying my time with the 1st installment of the FF7 Remake for what it was and I think this one goes even deeper into the story with open world traveling by the looks of it and more of the story being etched with this 2nd part of the remake.) 11) Rise of the Ronin (It's Team Ninja's next Soulsbourne game. They're just consistent with this genre that I don't even want to doubt them at this point. Do their stories ever make sense in their games? Heck Nah! But the gameplay is consistently frantic/fast paced and given this is a timed/console exclusive on Sony's end, I can see this being as polished of an effort as Team Ninja's ever going to have. It's def. a game that much like with NiOh, NiOh 2 & Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, really has to win me over with the demo or alpha or gamma or whatever the heck they're calling it.) 10) The Plucky Squire (The only reason it's as low as no.10 is because I featured it last year so wanted to give other games a rub but really I am all in with this. Again, the artwork by ex Pokemon Team artist James Turner is just AMAZING and the gameplay between 3D and 2D if they nail this, is going to be crazy! I hope there's enough meat on this bone.) 9) Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown (A Ubisoft game has made it this high! Never thought I would see the day. Game looks like a fast paced Metroidvania and it's the 1st game coming out of 2024 from my list. Hoping this sells well enough and gets the needed marketing from Ubisoft as we need more chances from Ubisoft more than anything else.) 8) Shantae Advance: Risky's Revolution (It's a "new" Shantae or rather a long lost Shantae game making it's way to gamers in 2024, why would I not be pumped? I know exactly what I am getting with this series and that's a very good thing! Easy to jump into Metroidvania that has so much color & character, exciting times to get a new Shantae!) 7) Hades 2 (Very little is known with this one but I was a year late to the Hades 1 party and had such a good time with the game and think it's up there with best rogue-like games that I ever played. The music was fantastic, the character dialogue was good and the gameplay was top notch. Curious how Supergiant games does it this time with the highly anticipated sequel. Curious if this is a Beta released on PC 1st with console gamers getting this months upon months later or if it's a big enough release that the studio opts to go Day 1 for everybody. Would prefer latter.) 6) Stellar Blade (@ness dat ass. This looks like a AA Bayonetta/Devil May Cry and I am all in for this. I have no idea what to think of the story if there is one at all and it's an unproven studio but hey everybody gets a start somewhere! Probably my most anticipated Sony console exclusive of the year thus far, whether that's a good or bad thing is up to the reader. Either way, this game looks so good!) 5) Penny's Big Breakaway (From the makers of the awesome Sonic Mania, this is going to be the sleeper hit of 2024, can just feel it. Seems like a love letter to all very good 3D platformers, just hoping the game is challenging and/or long enough because the gameplay looks so good & it looks like a super easy to just jump into and have a blast with. I hope it doesn't suffer the same issue I had with A Hat in Time where it felt too "Indie-ish" from a polish standpoint that it held the game back from me and am hoping the new IP tackle isn't one that proves to be too overwhelming.) 4) Spirit Hunter: Death Mark II (Easily my most anticipated visual novel of 2024, I had such a great time with the 1st Death Mark and I played it's spinoff, NG this past October and thought it was good albeit a stepback so getting Death Mark 2 early in 2024 is a huge win. The lack of first person movement is going to be a weird adjustment but most of the characters from the 1st game are back and I expect as much Japanese mythology/folklore horror and gruesome scenes as the previous games have given to me. Already preordered a copy for this one, I played the previous games years after release so it's cool to be on board from the start for this one, hope it delivers.) 3) Metaphor: ReFantazio (Atlas is coming in red hot in 2024! This game looks super stylish and looks like a breath of fresh air for what this company is looking to do with the SMT franchise. Curious if the story at all holds up but I am feeling the combat from what I am seeing. Day 1 for this bad boy.) 2) Elden Ring DLC: Shadow of the Erdtree (There's no real game trailer so I have no idea how far out this one is but FromSoftware still committing to 2024 last I read so it takes it's place here. Given how past DLCs have been from this company, these are pseudo games in itself so you will get your money's worth. Elden Ring was my favorite game 2 years ago so of course it's going to be high up on my most anticipated list. Curious how or what they do this time with what happened at the end of Elden Ring.) 1) Persona 3 Reload (Super Easy No.1, Persona 3 FES is what got me into the entire SMT series to begin with and seeing it get some shine almost 2 decades later is so cool. New voice actors, new music, I am so curious if I like this remake better than the original. Much like with RE4 Remake, I think I will enjoy myself with it but am unsure if it holds up vs the predecessor. Either way, so glad more people are going to play this one.)

Decent lineup. The FF7 game, is that the legit rest of the game? Since they tried to squeeze a full 30 hr game into Midgard I was unsure how long the next installment would be or expected it to be like 100 years away to get the full game. Since they show weapons that's basically the end of the game so is Rebirth everything?

Prince of Persia which has gotten rave reviews just arrived(Got it on the Nintendo Switch) so about to dive right in but the reason I bump this up is Hellblade 2: Senua's Saga is coming out May 24 2024 which is earlier then most expected but the fact that it's a digital only and it's $50 and the same length as Hellblade 1 makes me think it will be the same type of experience However, it may not the "big gun" that most of us thought it would be when Microsoft acquired Ninja Theory. I wish there was more gameplay shown but I am iffy with this one, so I am happy I put it someone low on this list. My point of this game still stands, gotta see it to believe it when it comes to the combat/gameplay.
Indiana Jones game might be one of those I missed on, some don't like it and I am 3rd person>FPS all day but I will jump into this one. Game looked really nice, probably the lone good thing for me in this Microsoft Direct TBH.

You picking it up Day One, Blindy ? I'll be keeping tabs on it, but I've got so much on my plate right now, I couldn't just squeeze in a 90+ hour JRPG.
Especially with the Wii U/3DS going offline in April. I have a stack of games that I'm playing through just to get all the online content out of the way.
I also went nuts over Christmas and bought a stack of games so I ought to play through those first before I get into Persona 3.
I did revisit the original PS2 game, and what was meant to be a brief 10 minute savour the flavour visit turned into an hour let's experiment with the fusion mechanic session that I had to pull myself away from.

Big Pete it's preloaded and ready to go via XBOX Game Pass. Trying to save money with some games coming out soon for me (Death Mark II and maybe FF7 Rebirth) so this is huge. I would play P3Reload on PS5 otherwise but too tempting.

I imagine Elden Ring's DLC to be on the level of the DLCs for past games. From is known for meaty DLCs with amazing shit in them and I doubt this will be the game that breaks the mold. What is normal for them, 30 hours or so, while totally altering future playthroughs with new mechanics and items sprinkled in.

Some noise that with the ratings given for Silk Song, it may drop in the near future without giving a release date first. Some believe it is dropping as part of the Nintendo indie thing tomorrow.

Yep it got rated in Korea/AUS, I feel good about a Summer release for this one. Between this and the upcoming Ender sequel along with the Shantae game, Metroidvania fans are eating so good in 2024. Add the Prince of Persia Lost Crown game from January and yeah. I think XBOX has marketing rights for Silksong so I would assume their showcase in 2 months will have the release date which hopefully is July/August.

Holy shit it looks absolutely amazing. IIRC this is the old Persona team doing it. I watched the trailer today, really looks super good. They even brought Meguro back for the soundtrack! It has Persona type of stuff like the dungeon crawling elements with 1st turn initiative and partnerships(They didn't go into detail about romance but I assume this will have it). It really looks like something off the SMT/Persona formula for Atlus which I appreciate. I forgot Sega Atlus helped publish Vanillaware's Unicorn Overlord(Which I got on a discount) and of course the upcoming SMT V: Vengeance port this June. Company is doing work this year.

14) Hellblade 2: Senua's Saga (AKA System 's favorite game of all time. I feel you aren't playing this one for the gameplay but more so for the ride/story & tale it takes you to if that makes sense.)(spoiler alert: After beating Hellblade 2 in about 6-7 hours in 1 day all of yesterday, Ninja Theory didn't nail the combat and arguably may have done a worse job with it in the sequel) I'm too lazy to pull up that System absolute burial of Hellblade 1 where he said it's the worst game he's ever played but I would kill to see him try the sequel out. It does everything the 1st one does and may actually up it with the walking simulation and Press X or Y to win in the repetitive fights. Add the consistent(By this I mean 90% of the game has this) dual audio of Senua's devil/angel on her shoulders since she suffers from Psicosis and hearing voices in her head and yeah. THAT BEING SAID: Hellblade 2: Senua's Saga is a 7.5/10 for Blindy. How did we get to this score? I would say it's a solid 7 or 7.5/10. Not enough was done to make it fully better than the original but it is still a visual/sound/atmospheric delight. Combat is very bare bones but I get where they are going for, they want to not gateway this game for a casual audience. Ninja Theory wants as many people to play it as possible and don't want the combat or puzzles to be too offputting. I just wish there was more variety in the combat and some actual thought process behind it rather than be a Punch Out clone of LIGHT ATTACK/HEAVY ATTACK/DODGE. There is a lot of walking simulation but the background is nice, it is about the same as Uncharted 4 had it.Hyperbole to say it's a terrible game but it's fair to be letdown that after 6+ years of development, this was the end result. Still solid for what it is, glad to play it on Game Pass. If you liked the 1st Hellblade, you will (probably) like this sequel. It doesn't change the wheel at all but you know going in you're playing this for the atmosphere/sound(That music by the end is great, the warhorn viking drum music while fighting gets loud and obnoxious and it was wicked)/graphics and not for the combat or challenge. It's seriously press 2-3 buttons during combat and win and it's basically a throwdown where guys come in one after another in a cutscene formula in very repetitive fights. Hellblade 2 is roughly 6 hours more or less if you're trying to explore much of the game. I got 9/11 achievements as well so far from a rush job on my end either. Now, in comparison to a game with similar length that I played in The Chant, it's night/day on how much more enjoyable this game was vs The Chant. The stuff that's good in Hellblade 2 is really good, it's just bogged down by simplistic combat and puzzles for the sake of.) It's about what I expected from a studio that was caught with the loss of their founder and changing from AA studio to Team XBOX but yeah....a diehard gamer or someone who has played a ton of these games will sniff out the flaws from the get go of this game but the casual audience or someone who doesn't play video games religiously may like how easy to get into Hellblade 2 is. I think it serves the purpose of not gatekeeping itself with difficulty so people can play and experience the game, including maybe people with similar mental disorders where gaming is a media that admittedly doesn't tackle or have many references to these types of ailments today. Headphones are as marketed, a must with this game btw. So trippy, again having the devil & angel on your shoulder talking you throughout your journey and giving you both doubt & encouragement in every step you take is wild, it's like the voices are playing with your two ears and you consistently hear these voices for again nearly the entire game. Add in a giant representation of "The Shadow of Doubt/The Darkness" and it's a trip from a sound engineering standpoint, it's really good stuff.

Not done with this thread though!
Every year we get games that are added during the year and are on track to release the same year too. These are what we call "Unpredictable circumstances" and there are 2 games that deserve a spot on my most anticipated games, especially given I platniumed both of the predecessors. They are....
ENDER MAGNOLIA: Bloom in the Mist (We eating good Metroidvania fans. Like seriously, name me a genre that is just gobbling up dubs this year then this genre? I loved Ender Lillies and recently played it right after the sequel was announced. It was always something I wanted to play because I knew I would love the original but yeah man this studio is going to do such a good job with this one. The music is pleasant, the artwork is delightful, the gameplay is crisp and not too overly hard but more so very fair, just need a concrete release date).
Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter (Yes that is Geralt's voice actor narrating the game, much like he did with the original game. Yes The Witcher main character. Tails of Iron was fantastic, was a recent game I played and beat both the main campaign as well as the recently released DLC. It's a 2D Soulsbourne, think Salt & Sancutary where you play as a rat knight and take on various enemies from frogs to bugs to now all sorts of enemies in the sequel. It's a slower paced game and you will die in this game but man it's just really good once you get a hang on it. By the end of the 1st game, I could not be killed with the armor and everything I had on. Pure case of the 1st game being so good and criminally underrated that the sequel has my eye.)

I didn't expect this to come so soon, September 17th!
September is no joke. Astro Bot, Persona 3 Reload DLC, this and Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom in a month. Give me a break.
EDIT: Free PS Plus title? Are you kidding me? My wallet says thank you so much Devolver!

Supposedly The Wolf Among Us 2 is going to release this year; although, it has been delayed a number of times already and updates have been sparse, so skepticism is reasonable. I'm not sure I have ever been more into games as an adult as I was during Telltale's peak. As far as the point-n-click genre goes, I am a The Walking Dead supremacist. Season 2 lost a lot of gamers; instead of interspersing moments of despair with hope, like its predecessor, it sort of just drilled down on despair all the way through. It did, however, set up Season 3's "Dirty Harry" Clementine extraordinarily well for those who stuck with it. I'd actually argue that this was the best of the series, which is saying a lot given the first installment's plethora of GOTY awards.
Telltale did release The Expanse last year, which was a nice appetizer, if nothing else. I feel like there is definitely a hole in the genre right now.
Looking forward to Star Wars Outlaws, despite not being a Star Wars fan: I am versed almost zero percent in its lore and mythology. This game, though, looks like it might make an excellent jumping off point for that sort of crowd. It's good to see someone besides EA get a chance with the IP, anyway.

With all of the games I truly was interested in having come out and/or were delayed, time to recap...
15) Hollow Knight: Silksong(Maybe 2025........maybe lol. I don't think I will put this game on my 2025 list because it's a tease, it was bumped this low due to this. I got so many Metroidvanias to chill with so take your time with the game but geez.)
14) Hellblade 2: Senua's Saga(I was being nice putting it at #14, not sure if it even makes my top 15 of games I played this year. Not a total fail like most would say it is but a 7.5/10 at best for me.)
13) Hotel Barcelona(Maybe 2025, this was a longshot to be honest)
12) FF7: Rebirth(I was too low on this one, this was a much better play than I expected. Might be a borderline top 5 GOTY for me on 2024.)
11) Rise Of the Ronin(Have yet to play this, one of the few games on the list that I didn't play yet. Waiting for a deeper discount but might be a 2025 playthrough. Heard it's good but not great.)
10) The Plucky Squire(MY Runner up to biggest letdown of 2024 for me. It was alright, expected more. Just too buggy and felt too simplistic at given portions. The decision to lock you out from being able to replay chapters for any missed collectibles was a dumb decision.)
9) Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown(Should be a top 10 GOTY for me, fuck Ubisoft for closing this studio down. Underrated game, def. recommend for any Metroidvania fan.)
8) Shantae Advance: Risky's Revolution(#Team2025, Metroidvania fans gonna eat good with this game and Ender Magnolia coming in early 2025)
7) Hades II(Beta came out for PC only so could not play it. Looks and heard it plays great, what a shocker. Def will be on the 2025 list next year)
6) Stellar Blade(Game was pretty good, 8.5/10 type of game for me. Might actually be 6th or 7th ranked for me in my GOTY so nailed it.)
5) Penny's Big Breakaway(Biggest letdown of 2024 belongs to this game, pure 7/10 for me. Maybe it's great on a different console but it was miserable to play on the Switch and it was a fight between controls for me.)
4) Spirit Hunter: Death Mark 2(Very solid, might have been a bit higher on this since the 1st one was awesome. Didn't realize it was on a smaller budget, not that it matters. Might be on the outside of my top 10 GOTY list.)
I NAILED the top 3 although that friggin' Astro Bot stealth drop in June/July ruined a clean sweep because that's a top 2 GOTY for me at worst. I have some free DLC waiting for me, I am treating myself to it once Metaphor is finished.
3) Metaphor: ReFantazio(Still playing it, think I am past the halfway point. This is my GOTY if not 2nd so a bit of a miss for me having it ranked 3rd. Just didn't have enough knowledge(Level 1 wisdom probably) to know what I was getting in this.)
2) Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC(Miss me with not counting this for GOTY talk since "It's an expansion". Some of the best boss fights & music in a game on the year. Performance issues drag the game a bit for me where it won't make my top 3 but this is still a great game. Scary that even in a down year for the company, From Software put out a DLC like this. The pure standard of borderline excellence.)
1) Persona 3 Reload(Nostalgia ran heavy for me but if I had a do over, I would have swapped this at 3 and Metaphor at 1. Atlus put in the god damn work on the year between these 2 games, SMT V: Vengeance which I have not played yet and Vanillaware's Unicorn Overlord.)
Atlus is my 2024 developer of the year and I hope one of their games win some trophies/awards.

How's Mario and Luigi Brotherhood playing out Blindy?
It's just a reminder that arguably the two best games were announced and released in the same year (Astro Bot and Echoes of Wisdom).

I only put like 2 hours into it since Metaphor has been taken away all of my time. It's pretty basic and simple but so far, that 5/10 from IGN seemed pretty harsh.
