YOUR ASS BETTER CALL SOMEBODY!
So I’m watching a DKC speed run on YouTube and someone mentions you can get 105% completion (as opposed to 103%) in DKC3. What? I’ve played through each DKC hundreds of times. I was finding Bonuses and DK coins before I had access to AskJeeves.
Yet I find out there’s a cheat code you can put in that removes most halfway barrels and DK barrels as a bonus hard mode. I never knew this and I’m amazed.
So is there something in your favourite series or game that you missed and only found out years later?

I could never beat the last part of DKC3 with the rocket so the idea of beating it all without checkpoints can go job out to Bubbles.

Rare was always good for these.
In Banjo Kazooie, after completing the game you're shown a bunch of seemingly inaccessible items like the ice key. For years it was believed these were only accessible through the use of a scrapped 'stop n swap' technique where you'd play Banjo Tooie, turn the console off and insert Kazooie which would access some left over memory stored in the console.
Years later these items were made available on the X Box 360 ports and just gave you access to some nice bonus' on Nuts and Bolts. However it was eventually discovered well over a decade after the game was released that the items were available through cheat codes you'd insert in Treasure Trove Cove.
They don't serve any purpose as they were intended for Tooie but they're nice extras.
