Thanks System. I do make a mean potato salad. Gotta make sure there's bacon, eggs, dill, and enough lemon juice for tang. I don't do it often, general just by request because like others have already mentioned...cold potatoes is no way to eat potatoes. @ness time to start a best preparation of potatoes thread to see what finishes in second place behind french fries

I'm not going to pretend I can hold a candle to Foos in the meat department but I reckon I'm up for the challenge with salads. I do two different potato salads depending on my mood, one with and one sans mayo.
I'll go against the trend here and argue there is no bad way of consuming potatoes, I think potato salad is a barbie staple for a reason.

I'm not going to pretend I can hold a candle to Foos in the meat department but I reckon I'm up for the challenge with salads. I do two different potato salads depending on my mood, one with and one sans mayo. I'll go against the trend here and argue there is no bad way of consuming potatoes, I think potato salad is a barbie staple for a reason. I'm with @admin . I love me some potato salad. Served hot or cold. A mustard, vinaigrette or salad dressing base...all good.  And while I'm not a fan of Scalloped potatoes (which is a story for another time), potatoes are up there with pizza and cheese for me where even a bad potato dish is still good. I volunteer as tribute to be the judge between @admin & Foos for this, but I think All34LOL could be the dark horse. Those Southerners usually can make a mean potato salad.

I have a recipe that hits for friends and family it was my memaws. However I much like others have said in this thread think it’s the absolute worst thing you can do a potato.
