My 3D TV I purchased back in 2010 is still kicking well but I think an upgrade after 14 years is reasonable. I mostly just use the TV for gaming and want to experience the PS5 graphics in all their glory.
So what do you recommend? Anything in particular to look out for?
Also I feel like a boomer but do most of them support Bluetooth speakers?

Depends on the budget TBH. I was in your same scenario more or less, the old TV that I still have hooked up to my Nintendo Switch/XB1/PS4/PS3 is still kicking but it was out of date. I went for the complete extreme and got a LG C1 OLED 4K 120FPS TV for about $1000 and it was such a good investment because it really takes the games I play on the XBOX Series X and PS5 to the next level. The way I knew it was night/day was trying Overwatch 2 on the OLED vs the old TV, I was never a FPS stickler or snob but it mattered so friggin' much man.
I know you do FPS like COD and fighting games so I would look to invest into a 4K TV. With visual novels or JRPGs, you can get away with less impressive stats on a TV(Even then some JRPGs are looking stunning these days) but for fighting games and FPS, those genres demand crisp perfection with internet connection and for resolution.
Look to try and future proof with 120FPS too as I hope more games touch this FPS moving forward. I went with LG C1 but that was like 2-3 years ago so there's better TVs around but at the price and at the time, this TV is still rolling like a bad boy.
OLED it is really up to you. I was skeptical at first and was always afraid of burn out but outside of being careful with the TV(Not overly using it night/day and watching for the black & white fuzz screens) should ease those fears. I was super impressed with the TV I got and as silly as it sounds, it is such a game changer. Not just for gaming but for my sports too.
I remember installing this TV and getting Pacers vs Knicks and was absolutely blown away with the resolution and clearness. Again, I am far from some technical snob but this was so damn impressive, I was really limited for years from my sports enjoyment and gaming enjoyments.

The big thing for me would be the refresh rate. Does it run 120Hz at 4K? After that it'd be the brightness of the TV and just how well it displays colours/shadows so you get that rich picture quality.
There are no good sales in Australia right now, but if I was in the market for a new TV, I'd be holding that money aside till a sale hits (typically Easter but always check into ozbargain). If my TV blew up tomorrow and I just had to bite the bullet, I'd probably go with a TCL P745 which has all the essentials I'm after. If money wasn't an object, I'd try and get my hands on a 77" Sony Bravia A95L which is the best on the market and since you're priding visuals over performance, the Dolby Vision would make me lean towards it over the Samsung S95c

If you game a lot I would get an LG OLED. They have the best anti-burn in mitigations and their TVs show little sign of burn-in in designed tests that run CNN for 20 hours a day. LG also has the lowest input lag, which is a nice advantage if you game competitively. And as someone else already mentioned, 120hz refresh rate which is phenomenal on fast moving games like the Insomniac Spider-Man games.
Panasonic and Sony have slightly better picture processors for home cinema, but to anyone but the most avid enthusiast, there will be little difference. Additionally, LG OLED TVs are very reasonably priced. Try and get a C3 or even C2 if you can find one.

Not just from gaming but just sports or watching wrestling man. Crisp AF! I used to watch WWE PPVs on my laptop, NAH now it gets featured on the bad boy. Matter of fact, going to watch the Rumble tonight on it via Peacock streaming. Another great feature with this TV is you can adjust the lighting etc. with it. Think I found a thread on another forum that was dedicated solely just for OLED settings for each of the big new games that were coming out. The 120 FPS is also big from a future proof aspect to as (knock on wood) games down the road will start to go beyond 60 FPS(Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown does this on XSX/PS5). The lone blemish is the iOS interface but it's essentially what any SmartTV is. I get used to it. I am not sure how it works in Australia System but here in US, since Super Bowl week is upon us, this is going to be arguably among the best times to dive into a new TV. Best Buy/Amazon/Target etc. are looking to pounce on people looking to get a TV for the big game, see if there's anything going for you locally. I have been looking for Sony/LG speakers/soundbars but honestly, it's not the end of the world if I don't get it. Don't use a stand or anything, 55' is perfect for me but also want to factor in what size of a TV can you fit into your room. I had the TV delivered but did everything else, if sandylea can help you out, you'll want to take it because shit is HEAVY! Even for a pro wrestler like yourself.

I went in to JB Hi-Fi (very similar to Best Buy) and they had a prominent display right in the TV section of an $800 75’ 4K TV.
Long story short they didn’t have it in stock, we can order it in yada yada yada. Thanks but no thanks, I understand things run out of stock but maybe don’t have a massive display and sign advertising it? Also I don’t really have the room for a 75’ with my current set up anyway.
So I went to Big W and got myself a 50 ‘ 4K TV for $400 and a $400 Bluetooth record player instead from said JB Hi-Fi so I don’t have to keep messing around with cables to listen to my vinyl. If only they made an easier way to listen to high quality music & you didn’t have flip the record as well.
I’m sure this thing is in the bottom tier of 4K TVS but after messing around with the settings I’m really impressed. Keep in mind I’d been gaming on a 3D tv from 2010 so a huge step up, I keep getting distracted by the backgrounds in street fighter now and other tiny details. Got Dunkirk on 4K blu ray, unsurprisingly I saw it in theatres so it definitely holds up via comparison.
Pretty sure it wasn’t broadcast in 4K anyway (watch US broadcast on DAZN) but Super Bowl looked great.

Only issue I’ve had is with the Bluetooth, connect it to my stereo and the sound is very choppy.
Guessing I’m better off getting a soundbar?
