So apparently Sony is doing a State of Play, later on today. Is anyone planning on watching live? Anything we should expect, announcement wise? Admittedly, I'm not as big into these, as I am with Nintendo Directs, but I'll probably check it out after work. Either way, I figure it might be good to get a thread going, might be some announcements worth discussing.

Stellar Blade was the star of the show, April 26 is big time. Not sure if the writing will be good but the battle system just looks sublime. If you like Hideo Kojima to no end, this show was great. If not, eh.

Rise of the Ronin can go either way, I want to give Team Ninja Benefit of the Doubt but I have not been fully blown away by this game. Silent Hill 2 looks like it will throw all of the psychological horror aspect of the original out the door by making it an survival action game ala Resident Evil/Alan Wake. I think most aren't going to appreciate it this and Bloober has never been known for crisp gameplay, still somewhat down on this game.

Smart move to give FF7 their own showcase, that's arguably Sony's top gun this year.

So want to know just what the fuck is going on in Dave the Diver. That was my game of the year last year.

So excited for Bioshock 4, aka Judas.

Really did not care at all for the rest.

Biggest change in Silent Hill 2 is melee being functional. No longer need to run through everything because it is nearly impossible to aim a board at the enemies. Also they said no load screens which will change the pace. That said I think the over the shoulder cam was a great decision to do as it does make things more immersive compared to the fix camera that original had. And of course they will showcase combat in the trailer, as just wandering around makes for a shit trailer, but if you noticed some of the puzzles from the original were also shown. Bloober is not known for quality, but it looks like they may have it here as they are trying to remain faithful.

Kojima BS really is Kojima BS this time around. Just gets weirder and weirder.

That SH2 trailer was the combat showcase trailer.  Labeled such now on youtube.  So that is why it was so insanely combat heavy.
