The WWE should do a Mania press conference in the Super Bowl market during game week every fucking year. Whoever came up with this idea is brilliant.

Roman v Cody at Mania?! But an Inkling we're getting Rock interference to help Roman retain.. Avengers Assemble. I'd love for The Bloodline to start with the shenanigans, then for Burn it down, I am The Game and Jey's theme to play and for there to be a huge battle at ring side, then Seth yells out " Cody, finish the fucking story! "

"The WWE Champion"
Have they finally dropped the pathetic "undisputed universal" part from the title name?

This was outrageously good and felt unlike anything we’ve seen before in WWE. Credit to everyone including Dwayne for rolling with the punches.

"The WWE Champion" Have they finally dropped the pathetic "undisputed universal" part from the title name? Quietly and officially a few weeks ago. As you know, it makes The World Heavyweight look like a silly title by describing the other one as " Undisputed " and " Universal "

What a glorious segment. That family tree is beautiful. Roman Reigns is married and has kids right? I didn't see them on the graphic while Rock's daughter was there.
Fantastic mic work from all three guys but Cody was clearly the standout.
Coulda done without the commentary from the pundits, CM Punk especially. I know that's how WWE has done things for a while but I never cared for it.

Finally.. I'm home and I've been able to watch the segment in full. On YouTube with ads every 2 minutes... but what a segment indeed.
It's either the greatest angle ever or the greatest pivot ever but what a way to make this feel absolutely massive.
And Seth, the rival of Cody being so protective first when that slap was thrown then showing defiance in the face of The Bloodline. It adds even more layers to this story.
Cody wins at Wrestlemania. Anything less will incite a riot.
---
I wonder if The Bloodline story, evolves into a bigger civil war arch. A power struggle between Rock and Hunter..

They had Cody go out there on Smackdown and give The Rock his spot. Only thing that saved them is he didn’t actually say the words, just did it through actions. Then the following 72 hours happened and they went “oh fuck.” And that’s ok! This was a really great move and that whole segment was excellent. I love where this is going. Rock & Reigns united is gonna be scary as hell. They looked intimidating as fuck last night. Cody and Seth looked like kids playing dress up next to them. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

As mentioned before, watched it on YouTube with a fucking ad every fucking second BUT WOW THAT WAS EPIC! I’m officially over this Team Rocky vs Team Cody thing on a personal level. I have full trust in the guys involved in this storyline that whatever the plan they have is going to be fucking awesome. I mean I had no idea they were going to go into this thing with Rock/Roman on the same side of things. The power of the Bloodline. Just amazing. I can’t wait for Rock to confront Jey about not being there with the family. Whatever they have planned is going to be awesome. What an incredible segment that was! I also agree with KJ about Seth Rollins being a try hard. What’s even weirder is he looks so out of place as a character on that stage. He almost looks like he doesn’t belong.

Another thing I’m going to add because I’m about to watch it for a second and maybe third or fourth time.
That was one of the best segments in WWE history.

Also this totally ends in Rock screwing Roman at the end because Cody said he was going to take EVERYTHING away from Roman which probably means the Bloodline.

The best thing about that segment is that we have no idea where they’ll go with this. We can all guess but I’m just going to enjoy the ride. They’ve set up a years worth of storylines in one segment. I remember Rock being interviewed last year and he said if he came back for an angle, he’d want to do something that’s never been done before. Last night, I believe, was the beginning of that.

Felt like watching something historic as it happened. Also, this is how you lean into a more sports-based presentation. This all felt real, like athletes at each other's throats, politicking and jockying for position, and taking things too far.

When he stopped his gimmick and was acting like a human at the end, I liked him 10X more. I just hate the over the top shit because it’s so forced (whereas a guy like Nakamura always feels right being over the top). Unsung hero of the entire thing was Punk. He’s so damn good on commentary.

Has Rock ever been like that on WWE TV before? I feel like every heel character he’s played has been tongue in cheek, or playing around. This guy was serious and when he stepped up to Cody, that’s easily the most intimidating I’ve seen him look.

This is the closest thing we have gotten to the Austin/Tyson confrontation on that RAW night. The media was all over it. It felt different. It felt big. Larger than wrestling. It was larger than life. That’s exactly the feeling I got coming out of that segment.
Incredible. Perfection.

Drew McIntyres video on his thoughts on that press conference are great too. He said Seth stood there and did nothing while Roman shit on his title and “our” locker room. He said Seth is not the leader or champion Drew would be.
Man I think I’ve become a fan of Drew McIntyre.

I had the same thought Kid about parallels to Tyson and WrestleMania 14. I don’t want to be hyperbolic but this feels like a watershed moment for WWE. They could really capture the zeitgeist here, in a way that none of us ever thought they would again.

This guy was serious and when he stepped up to Cody, that’s easily the most intimidating I’ve seen him look. Absolutely. The way he slowly strolled up to Cody, the camera positioning him in front of Roman Reigns, so menacing. Even Cody looked taken aback. I feel bad for Rollins. Yes, he looked like he didn't belong, but that was by design. He comes out, gets big leagued by Roman, then Rock and Cody take over while he's hiding in the background. I've been impressed with Rollins' serious promos recently, and honestly I think if you put him in Cody's shoes he would have stepped up too. Maybe not as brilliantly as Cody did, but on a similar level.

I dunno where else to put this but this is the busiest thread and it kinda relates. WWE accidentally spoiled all the participants in the women’s Elimination Chamber match. The completed picture was posted on the website by accident and fans managed to grab it before it was taken down. We already know two participants but I will post all six in spoiler tags in case you don’t wanna know: Becky Lynch & Bianca Belair are the ones we know already.
The other four are Tiffany Stratton, Liv Morgan, Naomi & Jade Cargill
